 NOTICE: 2/22/13 TODAY I CALLED THE CONTRACTOR TO REACH
 OUT TO HIM, A MEETING WITH THE OWNER, CONTRACTOR, FIRE
 DEPARTMENT & THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT IS GOING TO BE
 REQUIRED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT VISITED THE SITE, A FIRE
 INSPECTOR AND REQUESTED A 2 HOUR WALL BE INSTALLED
 BECAUSE OF THE TYPE OF USAGE FOR THIS SPACE. SINCE THEN
 THE PLANS HAVE INDICATED THE BACK HALF AS STORAGE AND
 NOW IT IS TO BE RETAIL WITH A 2 HR FIRE RATED WALL,
 INDICATING EXISTING RETAIL. THIS REVIEW WILL BE FOR A
 MERCANTILE OCCUPANCY.
  
 1) THE BUILDING CONTRACTOR HAS NOT TAKEN RESPONSIBILITY
 FOR THE BUILDING DRAWING NOR HAS THE PLUMBING
 CONTRACTOR FOR THE PLUMBING SHEETS, THEY WILL NEED TO
 PRINT & SIGN THEIR NAME AND PROVIDE THEIR LICENSE
 NUMBER ON THE PLANS THEY HAVE DESIGNED. WEST PALM BEACH
 AMENDMENT TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1,
 ADMINISTRATION, 2010 EDITION 107.1.
  
 2) PLEASE PROVIDE THE RATIONAL FOR A NEW 2 HR RATED
 WALL, THIS WALL IS EITHER A TENANT SEPERTION WALL WHICH
 WOULD BE A ONE HOUR TENANT SEPERATION WALL, FBC-B
 709.1(6) OR A OCCUPANCY SEPERATION WALL PER FBC-B TABLE
 508.4. PLEASE PROVIDE FOR WHICH CASE THIS WALL IS BEING
 BUILT, WITHOUT A CLEAR DEFINITION OF WHAT REASON THIS
 WALL IS BEING CONSTRUCTED, WE ARE ONLT GUESSING A
 MEETING IS REQUIRED.
  
 3) WITH THE NEWLY FORM MERCANTILE SPACE OR THE EXISTING
 MERCANTILE SPACE IN THE REAR PORTION OF THE BUILDING
 HAVING A 2 HOUR RATED WALL BEING CONSTRUCTED THE BSCK
 50'X50' SPACE, 2500 SQ FT/ 30 OCC.= 84 OCCUPANT LOAD.
  
 3A) THERE ARE A PAIR OF DOUBLE DOORS AND A SINGLE SWING
 DOOR THAT SWING INTO THIS SPACE, SINCE THE OCCUPANT
 LOAD IS 50 OR MORE, COMPLIANCE WITH FBC-B 1008.1.2
 REQUIRES THE SWING OF DOORS IN THE DIRECTION OF EXIT
 TRAVEL.
  
 3B) THE SECOND ISSUE WITH THE BACK HALF OF THE
 MERCANTILE OCCUPANCY IS THE DISTANCE THE TWO DOORS ARE
 APART, SINCE THE OCCUPANT LOAD IS 50 OR MORE TWO MEANS
 OF EGRESS ARE REQUIRED, FBC-B 1008.1.2 REQUIRES THE
 EGRESS DOORS TO BE SIDE SWINGING, THE OVERHEAD GARAGE
 DOOR CAN NOT BE CONSIDERED A EGRESS DOOR. FBC-B
 1015.2.1. REQUIRES THE DOORS TO BE A MINIMUM OF 1/2 THE
 OVER ALL DIAGONAL DISTANCE OF THE ROOM APART, THEY DO
 NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT.
  
 3C) THE THIRD ISSUE WITH THE BACK HALF OF THE
 MERCANTILE OCCUPANCY, IS THIS A SECOND TENANT, IF SO
 THEY HAVE NO DIRECT EXIT TO THE EXTERIOR, THEY WOULD
 HAVE TO GO THROUGH ANOTHER TENANT SPACE NOT UNDER THIER
 CONTROL, FBC-B 1014.2 (2) LOCKABLE SPACES.
  
 4) THE NEWLY FORMED MERCANTILE SPACE DOES NOT PROVIDE
 ANY EXIT LIGHTING, EXIT SIGNAGE NOR DIRECTIONALS, PLANS
 FAIL TO PROVIDE ANY NATURAL LIGHT INTO THE SPACE, FBC-B
 1006.3.1.
  
 5) PLANS FAIL TO PROVIDE FOR ANY LIGHTING REQUIREMENTS,
 FBC-B 1205.2 NATURAL LIGHT, 1205.2.1 ADJOINING LIGHT OR
 1205.2.2 EXTERIOR OPENINGS.
  
 A THOROUGH REVIEW CAN NOT BE MADE AT THIS TIME, AS A
 RESULT OF THE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REQUESTED
 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS MAY APPEAR THAT WERE NOT PART OF
 THIS REVIEW. AMEETING IS REQUESTED WITH THE TENNANT,
 CONTRACTOR, FIRE AND BUILDING DEPARTMENT TO GO OVER
 COMMENTS, THIS IS THE THIRD REVIEW.
