 DENIED BY BUILDING
  
 1) THE STRUCTURE IS LOCATED IN AN A5 SPECIAL FLOOD
 HAZARD ZONE WITH A BFE OF 7 FEET. THE CUMULATIVE COST
 OF WORK DONE TO THIS RESIDENCE BASED ON BUILDING PERMIT
 RECORDS IS $194,441.00 WHICH IS MORE THAN 50 % OF THE
 VALUE OF THE STRUCTURE LISTED BY THE PROPERTY APPRAISER
 AS $103,624.00. THE ENTIRE STRUCTURE IS REQUIRED TO
 HAVE THE LOWEST FLOOR ELEVATED TO SIX INCHES ABOVE BFE.

 SEC. 94-611.DEFINITIONS - SUBSTANTIAL IMPROVEMENT MEANS
 ANY COMBINATION OF REPAIRS, RECONSTRUCTION, ALTERATION,
 OR IMPROVEMENTS TO A STRUCTURE, TAKING PLACE DURING THE
 LIFE OF A STRUCTURE, IN WHICH THE CUMULATIVE COST
 EQUALS OR EXCEEDS 50 PERCENT OF THE MARKET VALUE OF THE
 STRUCTURE.
  
 SEC. 94-546. - PROVISIONS FOR FLOOD HAZARD REDUCTION.
  
 (A) AREAS OF SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD GENERALLY. IN ALL
 AREAS OF SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD, THE FOLLOWING PROVISIONS
 ARE REQUIRED:
 (1) ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION AND SUBSTANTIAL IMPROVEMENTS
 SHALL BE ANCHORED TO PREVENT FLOTATION, COLLAPSE OR
 LATERAL MOVEMENT OF THE STRUCTURE, AND SHALL BE
 CONSTRUCTED WITH MATERIALS AND UTILITY EQUIPMENT
 RESISTANT TO FLOOD DAMAGE BY METHODS AND PRACTICES THAT
 MINIMIZE FLOOD DAMAGE.
  
 (2) ALL NEW AND REPLACEMENT WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS AND
 SANITARY SEWAGE SYSTEMS SHALL BE DESIGNED TO MINIMIZE
 OR ELIMINATE INFILTRATION OF FLOOD WATERS INTO THE
 SYSTEMS AND DISCHARGES FROM THE SYSTEMS INTO FLOOD
 WATERS; ON-SITE WASTE DISPOSAL SYSTEMS SHALL BE LOCATED
 TO AVOID IMPAIRMENT TO THEM OR CONTAMINATION FROM THEM
 DURING FLOODING.
  
 (3) ANY ALTERATION, REPAIR, RECONSTRUCTION OR
 IMPROVEMENTS TO A STRUCTURE ON WHICH THE START OF
 CONSTRUCTION WAS BEGUN AFTER MARCH 1, 1979, SHALL MEET
 THE REQUIREMENTS OF NEW CONSTRUCTION AS CONTAINED IN
 THIS ARTICLE.
  
 (B) AREAS OF SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD WITH BASE FLOOD
 ELEVATION PROVIDED. IN ALL AREAS OF SPECIAL FLOOD
 HAZARD WHERE BASE FLOOD ELEVATION DATA HAS BEEN
 PROVIDED AS SET FORTH IN THIS ARTICLE, THE FOLLOWING
 PROVISIONS ARE REQUIRED:
 (1) RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION. ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION OR
 SUBSTANTIAL IMPROVEMENT OF ANY EXISTING RESIDENTIAL
 STRUCTURE SHALL HAVE THE LOWEST FLOOR, INCLUDING
 BASEMENT, ELEVATED TO SIX INCHES ABOVE THE BASE FLOOD
 ELEVATION.
  
 2) SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF THE PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE
 NEW SLIDING GLASS DOORS AND FRENCH DOORS WITH SIDELITES
 AS REQUIRED BY DCA RULE 9N-3.
  
 3) THE PRODUCT APPROVALS ARE REQUIRED TO BE REVIEWED
 AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD FOR
 THE PROJECT. CITY AMENDMENTS 107.3.4.1
  
 4) PROVIDE TWO SETS OF MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS
 AND INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PROPOSED
 ELEVATOR. CITY AMENDMENTS 107.2.1.3
  
 5) SPECIFY WHERE THE ELEVATOR EQUIPMENT WILL BE
 LOCATED. CITY AMENDMENTS 107.2.1
  
 6) THE EXISTING FLOOR TRUSSES ARE NOT DESIGNED TO CARRY
 THE LOADS THAT WILL BE TRANSFERED TO THEM BY THE NEW
 GIRDER TRUSSES THAT WILL BE TRANSFERRING THE LOADS OF
 THE TRUSS THAT WILL BE CUT TO ALLOW FOR THE ELEVATOR
 OPENING. PLEASE INDICATE HOW THIS WILL BE ADDRESSED.
