 RESPONSE COMMENT: THE OPEN AREA SQUARE FOOTAGE OF
 EXISTING WAREHOUSE #101 IS APPROXIMATELY 1,765 SQ.FT.
 WHICH WOULD ALLOW A MEZZANINE OF APPROXIMATELY 582
 SQ.FT. THE AREA INDICATED AS EXISTING MEZZANINE OF
 1,050 IS TOO LARGE TO BE MEZZANINE AND THEREFORE MUST
 BE TREATED AS A SECOND FLOOR. THE MAXIMUM COMMON PATH
 OF TRAVEL (50 FEET) IS EXCEEDED FOR A FLOOR WITH ONE
 MEANS OF EGRESS IN A STORAGE OCCUPANCY.
 ORIGINAL COMMENT: THE COVER SHEET INDICATES AN EXISTING
 "MEZZANINE" OF 3,078 SQ.FT.; HOWEVER, NO EXISTING PLANS
 OR PERMITS COULD BE LOCATED FOR THIS WORK. ALSO, THE
 SIZE OF THE "MEZZANINE" APPEARS TO MEET THE DEFINITION
 OF A TRUE SECOND FLOOR WHEREBY TWO EXITS ARE REQUIRED.
  
 NEW COMMENT: EACH FIRE BARRIER SHALL BE PERMANENTLY
 IDENTIFIED WITH SIGNS OR STENCILING READING FIRE
 BARRIER-PROTECT ALL OPENINGS. CHARACTERS SHALL BE AT
 LEAST 4-INCHES IN HEIGHT AND HALF-INCH IN WIDTH.
 IDENTIFICATION SHALL BE SPACED NOT MORE THAN 15 FEET ON
 CENTER.
