 1) THE VALUE FOR THE SCOPE OF WORK INDICATED BY THE
 PLANS APPEARS TO BE UNDERESTIMATED ON THE PERMIT
 APPLICATION. THE PLANS INDICATE ADDING A BATHROOM
 INSIDE EXISTING SPACE, REPLACING PLUMBING FIXTURES,
 ADDING NEW A/C TO BOTH STRUCTURES, REPLACING KITCHEN
 CABINETS, INSTALLING NEW ELECTRIC SERVICE AND WIRING,
 INSTALLING INSULATION AND DRYWALL, INSTALLING NEW
 IMPACT RATED WINDOWS AND NEW BARREL TILE ROOF OVER THE
 ENCLOSED PORCH AND CONVERTING THE GARAGE AREA OF THE
 GUEST HOUSE TO LIVING AREA. SUBMIT 2 COPIES OF A
 DETAILED COST BREAK DOWN FOR EACH ITEM LISTED INCLUDING
 LABOR AND MATERIAL COSTS ALSO AND INCLUDE COST DESIGN
 FEES, OVERHEAD AND PROFIT. CITY AMENDMENTS 109.3
  
 2) BASED OF THE PROPERTY APPRAISER'S RECORDS THERE IS A
 216 SQUARE FOOT GARAGE THAT FORMS PART OF THE GUEST
 HOUSE. UNLESS PROOF CAN BE PROVIDED THAT THE GARAGE WAS
 CONVERTED TO LIVING SPACE WITH THE PROPER PERMITS AND
 INSPECTIONS, IT WILL BE CONSIDERED AS A GARAGE AND
 COUNTY IMPACT FEES MAY BE CHARGED WHEN CONVERTING TO
 LIVING SPACE. PROVIDE AREA TABULATIONS FOR EACH OF THE
 STRUCTURES ON THE PLANS. CITY AMENDMENTS 107.2.1.3 (
 ACCORDING TO THE RECORDS ON FILE THE GUEST-HOUSE WAS
 ORIGINALLY A GARAGE APARTMENT.)

 CATEGORY) ON THE PLANS. FBC R301.2.1.1 (THE WIND-SPEED
 WAS SPECIFIED AS 140 MPH ON THE PLANS. THIS IS
 INCORRECT. BASED ON THE 2010 FBC THE WIND-SPEED FOR
 THIS PROJECT IS 170 MPH VULT AND 132 MPH VASD.)

 BARREL TILE ROOFING AS REQUIRED BY DCA RULE 9N-3.

 THAT WILL BE USED TO INSTALL THE ROOF TILE. IF POLYFOAM
 WILL BE USED, SUBMIT PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR IT. FBC
 R905.3 (PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE ROOF TILE WERE
 SUBMITTED. HOWEVER, THE METHOD OF ATTACHMENT WAS NOT
 SPECIFIED. THE METHOD OF ATTACHMENT THAT IS USED IS
 REQUIRED TO MEET OR EXCEED THE REQUIRED UPLIFT MOMENT.)

 606.4 AND FBC R301.2.1.2 REQUIRES GLAZED OPENINGS TO BE
 PROTECTED FROM WIND-BOURNE DEBRIS. THE IMPACT
 PROTECTION DEVICES SHALL MEET THE LARGE MISSILE TEST OF
 ASTM E 1996, ASTM E 1886, SSTD 12 OR TAS 201, 202 AND
 203 OR AAMA 506. SUBMIT PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE
 IMPACT PROTECTION DEVICES. INCLUDE A KEY PLAN AND AN
 INSTALLATION SCHEDULE WITH ANCHOR TYPE AND SPACING. (
 ACCORDING TO SECTION 606.4 OF THE 2010 FBC EXISTING
 BUILDING, IF YOU ARE REPLACING MORE THAN 25 PERCENT OF
 THE AGGREGATE AREA OF THE GLAZED OPENINGS IN A DWELLING
 UNIT IN A 12-MONTH PERIOD, THEN THE NEW WINDOWS ARE
 REQUIRED TO HAVE IMPACT PROTECTION. THE OLD EXISTING
 CLAMSHELL FOLD DOWN SHUTTERS HAVE NOT BEEN TESTED TO
 SHOW THAT THEY MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE LARGE
 MISSILE TEST OF ASTM E 1996, ASTM E 1886, SSTD 12 OR
 TAS 201, 202 AND 203 OR AAMA 506. THERE ARE
 MANUFACTURER'S THAT PRODUCE THIS TYPE OF SHUTTER THAT
 IS COMPLIANT WITH THE LARGE MISSILE TESTING, IF YOU
 WISH TO MAINTAIN THE PERIOD LOOK OF THE HOUSE.)
  
 11) PLEASE SUBMIT A RESPONSE LETTER INDICATING HOW THE
