 OPENING NOT LESS THAN 20 INCHES BY 30 INCHES (559 MM BY
 762 MM) SHALL BE PROVIDED TO ANY ATTIC AREA HAVING A
 CLEAR HEIGHT OF OVER 30 INCHES (762 MM). A 30-INCH (762
 MM) MINIMUM CLEAR HEADROOM IN THE ATTIC SPACE SHALL BE
 PROVIDED AT OR ABOVE THE ACCESS OPENING.

 AN EFFICIENCY LIVING UNIT SHALL CONFORM TO THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF THE CODE EXCEPT AS MODIFIED HEREIN:
 1. THE UNIT SHALL HAVE A LIVING ROOM OF NOT LESS THAN
 220 SQUARE FEET (20.4 M2) OF FLOOR AREA. AN ADDITIONAL
 100 SQUARE FEET (9.3 M2) OF FLOOR AREA SHALL BE
 PROVIDED FOR EACH OCCUPANT OF SUCH UNIT IN EXCESS OF
 TWO.
 2. THE UNIT SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH A SEPARATE CLOSET.
 3. THE UNIT SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH A KITCHEN SINK,
 COOKING APPLIANCE AND REFRIGERATION FACILITIES, EACH
 HAVING A CLEAR WORKING SPACE OF NOT LESS THAN 30 INCHES
 (762 MM) IN FRONT. LIGHT AND VENTILATION CONFORMING TO
 THIS CODE SHALL BE PROVIDED.
 4. THE UNIT SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH A SEPARATE BATHROOM
 CONTAINING A WATER CLOSET, LAVATORY AND BATHTUB OR
 SHOWER.
 NOTE: THE BATHROOM AREA IS REMOVED FROM THE REQUIRED
 220 SQ FT FOR LIVING ROOM AREA. PLANS INDICATE WHEN
 SCALED APPROXIMATELY 205.5 SQ FT.

 REQUIREMENTS OF 2010 FBC-B 1208.3 ROOM AREA FOR A
 DWELLING AREA. EVERY DWELLING UNIT SHALL HAVE AT LEAST
 ONE ROOM THAT SHALL HAVE NOT LESS THAN 120 SQUARE FEET
 (13.9 M2) OF NET FLOOR AREA. OTHER HABITABLE ROOMS
 SHALL HAVE A NET FLOOR AREA OF NOT LESS THAN 70 SQUARE
 FEET (6.5 M2).

 5) 2ND REQUEST: SHEET # 1 ROOM # 4 AN EFFICIENCY UNIT

 SHALL CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CODE EXCEPT AS

 709.4 CONTINUITY. SMOKE BARRIERS SHALL FORM AN
 EFFECTIVE MEMBRANE CONTINUOUS FROM OUTSIDE WALL TO
 OUTSIDE WALL AND FROM THE TOP OF THE FOUNDATION OR
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLY BELOW TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE
 FLOOR OR ROOF SHEATHING, DECK OR SLAB ABOVE, INCLUDING
 CONTINUITY THROUGH CONCEALED SPACES, SUCH AS THOSE
 FOUND ABOVE SUSPENDED CEILINGS, AND INTERSTITIAL
 STRUCTURAL AND MECHANICAL SPACES. THE SUPPORTING
 CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE PROTECTED TO AFFORD THE REQUIRED
 FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING OF THE WALL OR FLOOR SUPPORTED
 IN BUILDINGS OF OTHER THAN TYPE IIB, IIIB OR VB
 CONSTRUCTION.
 SEE EXCEPTION # 1 FOR REQUIRED 1 HR FIRE SEPERATION FOR
 CRAWL SPACES.
 4. THE FIRE PARTITION SEPARATING TENANT SPACES IN A
 MALL, COMPLYING WITH SECTION 402.7.2, ARE NOT REQUIRED
 TO EXTEND BEYOND THE UNDERSIDE OF A CEILING THAT IS NOT
 PART OF A FIRE-RESISTANCE-RATED ASSEMBLY. A WALL IS NOT
 REQUIRED IN ATTIC OR CEILING SPACES ABOVE TENANT
 SEPARATION WALLS.
  
 5. COMPLIED.
  
 6. FIREBLOCKING OR DRAFTSTOPPING IS NOT REQUIRED AT THE
 PARTITION LINE IN BUILDINGS EQUIPPED WITH AN AUTOMATIC
 SPRINKLER SYSTEM INSTALLED THROUGHOUT IN ACCORDANCE
 WITH SECTION 903.3.1.1 OR 903.3.1.2, PROVIDED THAT
 AUTOMATIC SPRINKLERS ARE INSTALLED IN COMBUSTIBLE
 FLOOR/CEILING AND ROOF/CEILING SPACES.
  
 7) 709.4.1 ROOF CONSTRUCTION. WHEN THE FIRE PARTITION
 IS CONTINUOUS TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE ROOF SHEATHING IN
 OCCUPANCIES OF GROUPS R-1, R-2 AND R-3 AS APPLICABLE IN
 SECTION 101.2, IN TYPE III, IV AND V CONSTRUCTION THE
 FOLLOWING SHALL BE PROVIDED:
  
 709.4.1.1 ROOF SHEATHING. THE ROOF SHEATHING OR DECK
 SHALL BE OF APPROVED NONCOMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS OR OF
 FIRE-RETARDANT-TREATED WOOD, FOR A DISTANCE OF 4 FEET
 (1220 MM); OR
  
 709.4.1.2 ROOF PROTECTION. THE ROOF SHALL BE PROTECTED
 WITH 0.625-INCH (15.88 MM) TYPE X GYPSUM BOARD DIRECTLY
 BENEATH THE UNDERSIDE OF THE ROOF SHEATHING OR DECK,
 SUPPORTED BY A MINIMUM OF NOMINAL 2-INCH (51 MM)

 SHEET # 2 INDICATES ON THE RIGHT ELEVATION WINDOWS AND
 DOORS WITH IN 10'-0" OF THE EXTERIOR STAIR, PLEASE
 PROVIDE COMPLIANCE WITH 2010 FBC-B:
 1026.6 EXTERIOR RAMPS AND STAIRWAY PROTECTION. EXTERIOR
 EXIT RAMPS AND STAIRWAYS SHALL BE SEPARATED FROM THE
 INTERIOR OF THE BUILDING AS REQUIRED IN SECTION 1022.1.
 OPENINGS SHALL BE LIMITED TO THOSE NECESSARY FOR EGRESS
 FROM NORMALLY OCCUPIED SPACES.
 EXCEPTIONS:
 1.SEPARATION FROM THE INTERIOR OF THE BUILDING IS NOT
 REQUIRED FOR OCCUPANCIES, OTHER THAN THOSE IN GROUP R-1

 ABOVE GRADE PLANE WHERE THE LEVEL OF EXIT DISCHARGE IS

 9) FIRES COMMENTS INDICATING THIS WAS A ROOMING HOUSE
 AND WILL NOW BE USED AS A APARTMENT BUILDING CREATES A
 CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION 2010 EXIST BUILD
 CODE SECTION 901.3 THIS INCLUDES A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY
 WITHIN THE SAME GROUP, ROOMING HOUSE TO APTARTMENTS.

 REQUIRES AN AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM TO BE
 PROVIDED BASED ON THE NEW OCCUPANCY IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 CHAPTER 9 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING, SUCH
 SYSTEM SHALL BE PROVIDED THROUGHOUT THE AREA WHERE THE
 CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY OCCURS.
  
 2010 FBC-B 903.2.8 GROUP R. [F]
 AN AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE
 WITH SECTION 903.3 SHALL BE PROVIDED THROUGHOUT ALL
 BUILDINGS WITH A GROUP R FIRE AREA.
 THE CODE COMMENTARY MAKES IT CLEAR THE ONLY EXCEPTION
 IS RESIDENTIAL UNITS THAT ARE COVERED UNDER THE FBC-R
 RESIDENTIAL CODE ONE AND TWO FAMILY RESIDENCES.
