 2010 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II 701.3
 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS,
 SYSTEMS, AND SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS
 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) 2010 FBC-B 1609.1.2 PROTECTION OF OPENINGS, THE
 CONTRACTOR SUBMITTED PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR EXTERIOR
 DOORS AND MULLIONS BUT NO WINDOW APPROVALS
 WERE SUBMITTED WTIHIN THIS PERMIT PACKAGE.
  
 2) 2010 WPB ADMINISTRATIVE CODE 107.3.4.1 DESIGN
 PROFESSIONALS SHALL REVIEW PRODUCT APPROVALS WHICH ARE
 REGULATED BY DCA RULE 9N-3 , SHALL BE REVIEWED AND
 APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD PRIOR TO
 SUBMITTAL FOR JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL.
  
 3) 2010 FBC-B 1209.2 ATTIC SPACES. AN OPENING NOT LESS
 THAN 20 INCHES BY 30 INCHES (559 MM BY 762 MM) SHALL BE
 PROVIDED TO ANY ATTIC AREA HAVING A CLEAR HEIGHT OF
 OVER 30 INCHES (762 MM). A 30-INCH (762 MM) MINIMUM
 CLEAR HEADROOM IN THE ATTIC SPACE SHALL BE PROVIDED AT
 OR ABOVE THE ACCESS OPENING.
  
 4) SHEET # 1 ROOM # 3 DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF
 2010 FBC-B 1208.3 ROOM AREA. EVERY DWELLING UNIT SHALL
 HAVE AT LEAST ONE ROOM THAT SHALL HAVE NOT LESS THAN
 120 SQUARE FEET (13.9 M2) OF NET FLOOR AREA. OTHER
 HABITABLE ROOMS SHALL HAVE A NET FLOOR AREA OF NOT LESS
 THAN 70 SQUARE FEET (6.5 M2).
 LIVING ROOM AREA OF 94.95 SQ FT
 BEDROOM AREA OF 108.15 SQ FT
  
 5) SHEET # 1 ROOM # 4 AN EFFICIENCY UNIT WILL NEED TO
 MEET THE REQUIREMENT OF 2010 FBC-B 1208.4 EFFICIENCY
 DWELLING UNITS. AN EFFICIENCY LIVING UNIT SHALL CONFORM
 TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CODE EXCEPT AS MODIFIED
 HEREIN:
 1. THE UNIT SHALL HAVE A LIVING ROOM OF NOT LESS THAN
 220 SQUARE FEET (20.4 M2) OF FLOOR AREA. AN ADDITIONAL
 100 SQUARE FEET (9.3 M2) OF FLOOR AREA SHALL BE
 PROVIDED FOR EACH OCCUPANT OF SUCH UNIT IN EXCESS OF
 TWO.
  
 6) SHEET # 1 INDICATES A ONE HOUR SEPERATION WALL
 BETWEEN UNITS, BUT NOT BETWEEN THE LAUNDRY ROOM AND
 UNIT #3. PLEASE REVIEW FBC-B CONTINUITY.
 709.4 CONTINUITY. SMOKE BARRIERS SHALL FORM AN
 EFFECTIVE MEMBRANE CONTINUOUS FROM OUTSIDE WALL TO
 OUTSIDE WALL AND FROM THE TOP OF THE FOUNDATION OR
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLY BELOW TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE
 FLOOR OR ROOF SHEATHING, DECK OR SLAB ABOVE, INCLUDING
 CONTINUITY THROUGH CONCEALED SPACES, SUCH AS THOSE
 FOUND ABOVE SUSPENDED CEILINGS, AND INTERSTITIAL
 STRUCTURAL AND MECHANICAL SPACES. THE SUPPORTING
 CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE PROTECTED TO AFFORD THE REQUIRED
 FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING OF THE WALL OR FLOOR SUPPORTED
 IN BUILDINGS OF OTHER THAN TYPE IIB, IIIB OR VB
 CONSTRUCTION.
 SEE EXCEPTION # 1 FOR REQUIRED 1 HR FIRE SEPERATION FOR
 CRAWL SPACES.
 4. THE FIRE PARTITION SEPARATING TENANT SPACES IN A
 MALL, COMPLYING WITH SECTION 402.7.2, ARE NOT REQUIRED
 TO EXTEND BEYOND THE UNDERSIDE OF A CEILING THAT IS NOT
 PART OF A FIRE-RESISTANCE-RATED ASSEMBLY. A WALL IS NOT
 REQUIRED IN ATTIC OR CEILING SPACES ABOVE TENANT
 SEPARATION WALLS.
  
 5. FIREBLOCKING OR DRAFTSTOPPING IS NOT REQUIRED AT THE
 PARTITION LINE IN GROUP R-2 BUILDINGS THAT DO NOT
 EXCEED FOUR STORIES IN HEIGHT, PROVIDED THE ATTIC SPACE
 IS SUBDIVIDED BY DRAFTSTOPPING INTO AREAS NOT EXCEEDING
 3,000 SQUARE FEET (279 M2) OR ABOVE EVERY TWO DWELLING
 UNITS, WHICHEVER IS SMALLER.
  
 6. FIREBLOCKING OR DRAFTSTOPPING IS NOT REQUIRED AT THE
 PARTITION LINE IN BUILDINGS EQUIPPED WITH AN AUTOMATIC
 SPRINKLER SYSTEM INSTALLED THROUGHOUT IN ACCORDANCE
 WITH SECTION 903.3.1.1 OR 903.3.1.2, PROVIDED THAT
 AUTOMATIC SPRINKLERS ARE INSTALLED IN COMBUSTIBLE
 FLOOR/CEILING AND ROOF/CEILING SPACES.
  
 7) 709.4.1 ROOF CONSTRUCTION. WHEN THE FIRE PARTITION
 IS CONTINUOUS TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE ROOF SHEATHING IN
 OCCUPANCIES OF GROUPS R-1, R-2 AND R-3 AS APPLICABLE IN
 SECTION 101.2, IN TYPE III, IV AND V CONSTRUCTION THE
 FOLLOWING SHALL BE PROVIDED:
  
 709.4.1.1 ROOF SHEATHING. THE ROOF SHEATHING OR DECK
 SHALL BE OF APPROVED NONCOMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS OR OF
 FIRE-RETARDANT-TREATED WOOD, FOR A DISTANCE OF 4 FEET
 (1220 MM); OR
  
 709.4.1.2 ROOF PROTECTION. THE ROOF SHALL BE PROTECTED
 WITH 0.625-INCH (15.88 MM) TYPE X GYPSUM BOARD DIRECTLY
 BENEATH THE UNDERSIDE OF THE ROOF SHEATHING OR DECK,
 SUPPORTED BY A MINIMUM OF NOMINAL 2-INCH (51 MM)
 LEDGERS ATTACHED TO THE SIDES OF THE ROOF FRAMING
 MEMBERS, FOR A MINIMUM DISTANCE OF 4 FEET (1220 MM).
  
 8) SHEET # 2 INDICATES ON THE RIGHT ELEVATION WINDOWS
 AND DOORS WITH IN 10'-0" OF THE EXTERIOR STAIR, PLEASE
 PROVIDE COMPLIANCE WITH 2010 FBC-B:
 1026.6 EXTERIOR RAMPS AND STAIRWAY PROTECTION. EXTERIOR
 EXIT RAMPS AND STAIRWAYS SHALL BE SEPARATED FROM THE
 INTERIOR OF THE BUILDING AS REQUIRED IN SECTION 1022.1.
 OPENINGS SHALL BE LIMITED TO THOSE NECESSARY FOR EGRESS
 FROM NORMALLY OCCUPIED SPACES.
 EXCEPTIONS:
 1. SEPARATION FROM THE INTERIOR OF THE BUILDING IS NOT
 REQUIRED FOR OCCUPANCIES, OTHER THAN THOSE IN GROUP R-1
 OR R-2, IN BUILDINGS THAT ARE NO MORE THAN TWO STORIES
 ABOVE GRADE PLANE WHERE THE LEVEL OF EXIT DISCHARGE IS
 THE FIRST STORY ABOVE GRADE PLANE.
