 2010 FBC.
  
 1- ARCHITECT TO CLARIFY CALCULATIONS. SUBMITTED:
 A) RAS 117 CALCULATIONS ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR TYPE OF
 ROOF SELECTED BY THE CONTRACTOR. THE CALCULATIONS THAT
 WERE REQUESTED WHERE THE WIND LOAD CALCULATIONS FOR THE
 ROOF AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 1609.1.1. DELETE THE
 REFERENCED NAME "RAS 117 CALCULATIONS FOR FLAT ROOF"
 AND REFER TO THE WIND LOAD CALCULATIONS FOR THE ROOF
 DECK. THE CALCULATIONS WERE REQUESTED TO VERIFY THAT
 THE SELECTED ROOF ASSEMBLY WILL BE ADEQUATE TO BE
 INSTALLED ON THE ROOF.
  
 B) CLARIFY WHERE IS TABLE R-127-1 TAKEN FROM. UNABLE TO
 FIND IT. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS TO FBC.
  
 C) CLARIFY ROOF ZONES. CALCULATIONS SUBMITTED SHOW ZONE
 1 FOR A BUILDING HEIGHT OF 90' AND ZONE 2 FOR A
 BUILDING HEIGHT OF 80'. IT'S NOT CLEAR IF ZONES ARE
 IDENTIFYING DIFFERENT ROOFS OR IF THEY REFERING TO THE
 ROOF ZONES (ZONE 1, ZONE 2 AND ZONE 3) OF EACH ROOF.
 SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 D) CLARIFY WHAT'S CAT. R3 MF. DOES THIS STAND FOR
 CATEGORY RESIDENTIAL R3 MULTIFAMILY?. IF SO, THERE IS
 NOT AN R3 MULTIFAMILY. THIS IS AN R2 BUILDING. SEE SEC.
 310 FBC 2010.
  
 E) SPECIFY THE ULTIMATE DESIGN WIND SPEED AND THE
 NOMINAL DESIGN WIND LOAD AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 1609.3 AND
 SEC. 1609.3.1.
  
 F) CLARIFY WHY THE APPROX. TRIBUTARY ROOF AREA IS 128
 FT SQ FOR ZONE 1 AND 24 FT SQ FOR ZONE 2. SEC. 107.2.1
 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 G) CLARIFY WHICH ROOF ZONE ARE THE 231.2 PSF
 CALCULATIONS CALCULATED FOR AND FOR WHICH ROOF. AND USE
 ON THE CALCULATIONS THE SAME SYMBOLS THAT ARE USED ON
 ASCE 7-10. CLEARLY SPECIFY THE DESIGN PRESSURES FOR
 EACH ROOF ZONE. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
