 REVIEW COMMENTS - FIRE DEPARTMENT
  
 IN ADDITION TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, THE DESIGN
 SHALL CONFORM TO THE 2010 EDITION OF THE FLORIDA FIRE
 PREVENTION CODE WHICH CONTAINS THE FLORIDA 2009 EDITION
 OF NFPA 1 AND NFPA 101.
  
 ALL DEMOLITION WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS
 OF NFPA 241. TRASH AND CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS SHALL BE
 REMOVED FROM THE SITE DAILY. POST "NO SMOKING" SIGNS IN
 CONSTRUCTION AREA.
  
 PROVIDE AN EXTERIOR KEY SAFE TO ALLOW EMERGENCY
 RESPONDERS NON-FORCIBLE ENTRY INTO THE BUILDING DURING
 NON-BUSINESS HOURS. A KEY SAFE CAN BE ORDERED FROM
 WWW.KNOXBOX.COM.
  
 THE SUITE IS FUNCTIONING AS A MIXED-USE, NON-SEPARATED
 OCCUPANCY. THE MIXED-USE (BUSINESS, ASSEMBLY,
 EDUCATION) OCCUPANCIES SHALL HAVE THE MEANS OF EGRESS,
 PROTECTION, AND OTHER SAFEGUARDS IN THE BUILDING THAT
 COMPLY WITH THE MOST RESTRICTIVE FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY
 REQUIREMENTS OF THE OCCUPANCIES INVOLVED. NOTE: THE
 SUITE HAS ONLY ONE EXIT ACCESS PATH WHICH WOULD NOT BE
 ALLOWED FOR AN ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY WITH MORE THAN 50
 PERSONS.
  
 PROVIDE OCCUPANCY LOADS BASED UPON ACTUAL USE OF EACH
 SPACE AND NOT THE OVERALL BUSINESS OCCUPANCY
 CLASSIFICATION.
  
 INDICATE IF THE DOORS WILL BE EQUIPPED WITH ANY
 LOCK/LATCH. IF THE DOORS WILL BE EQUIPPED WITH A
 LOCK/LATCH, INDICATE HOW THE LOCK/LATCH WILL BE
 RELEASED FROM THE EGRESS SIDE OF THE DOOR.
  
 INDICATE THE SMOKE AND FLAME SPREAD CLASSIFICATION OF
 THE INTERIOR WALL AND CEILING FINISH MATERIALS.
  
 PROVIDE TACTILE SIGNAGE AT ALL (NOT JUST ENTRANCE)
 DOORS WITH EXIT SIGNS.
  
 THE RESOURCE ROOM TRAVEL DISTANCE TO A PORTABLE FIRE
 EXTINGUISHER EXCEEDS 75 FEET.
  
 EACH FIRE-RATED WALL SHALL BE PERMANENTLY IDENTIFIED
 WITH SIGNS OR STENCILING READING FIRE/SMOKE
 BARRIER-PROTECT ALL OPENINGS. CHARACTERS SHALL BE AT
 LEAST 4-INCHES IN HEIGHT AND HALF-INCH IN WIDTH.
 IDENTIFICATION SHALL BE SPACED NOT MORE THAN 15 FEET ON
 CENTER.
  
 IT MAY BE DIFFICULT TO MEET THE MINIMUM AUDIBILITY
 REQUIREMENTS OF NFPA 72 WITH ONLY TWO HORN-STROBE FIRE
 ALARM DEVICES.
  
 NOTE: EXISTING SUITE MAY HAVE RESIDENTIAL STYLE
 SPRINKLERS THAT NEED TO BE REPLACED WITH COMMERCIAL
 STYLE SPRINKLERS.
