 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS,
 SYSTEMS, AND SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS
 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) PLEASE PROVIDE A LIFE SAFETY SHEET FROM THE MAIN ICE
 SCATING FACILITY INDICATING THE TOTAL OCCUPANT LOAD,
 AMOUNT OF OCCUPANTS THAT WILL BE EXITING EACH OF THE
 EXITS. THE SHARED EXIT BETWEEN THE EXISTING FACILITY
 AND NEW GYM FACILITY WILL NEED TO BE REVIEWED FOR CODE
 COMPLIANCE FOR EXITING. 2010 FBC-B 106.3.5.1.1(7) * &
 TABLE 1016.1. PLEASE PROVIDE DISTANCES FROM BOTH THE
 SKATING RINK AND THE NEW GYM FOR EXIT ACCESS TRAVEL
 DISTANCES SINCE THE EXIT PASSAGEWAY IS BEING REMOVED,
 THIS TENANT SPACE BEFORE WAS CLASSIFIED AS A WARE HOUSE
 WHICH WOULD REQUIRE THE EXIT PASSAGE WAY TO THE EXIT
 DISCHARGE. NOW WE WILL NEED TO REVIEW THE PLANS FOR THE
 EXIT ACCESS FOR ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY AND TRAVEL DISTANCES
 ALLOWED.
  
 2) THE PLANS SHEET A-2 INDICATE ONE LEAF OF THE DOUBLE
 DOORS IS TO BE WELDED SHUT. DOORS CAN NOT BE WELDED
 SHUT AND LOOK LIKE A ACTIVE DOOR, OCCUPANTS WILL STILL
 TRY GOING THROUGH THAT WELDED SHUT OPENING. THE DOUBLE
 DOORS SHOULD BE REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH A SINGLE
 DOOR.
 2010 FBC-B 1008.1 MEANS OF EGRESS DOORS SHALL BE
 READILY DISTINGUISHABLE FROM THE ADJACENT CONSTRUCTION
 AND FINISHES SUCH THAT THE DOORS ARE EASILY
 RECOGNIZABLE AS DOORS. MIRRORS OR SIMILAR REFLECTING
 MATERIALS SHALL NOT BE USED ON MEANS OF EGRESS DOORS.
 MEANS OF EGRESS DOORS SHALL NOT BE CONCEALED BY
 CURTAINS, DRAPES, DECORATIONS OR SIMILAR MATERIALS.

 3) SHEET A-2 DOES NOT INDICATE OCCUPANCY SEPERATION
 BETWEEN TTHE ASSEMBLY AND STORAGE OCCUPANCY, PLEASE
 PROVIDE COMPLIANCE WITH 2010 FBC-B TABLE 508.3.3 AND
 OPENING PROTECTIVES (DOORS) PER TABLE 715.4.
  
 4) SHEET A--2A INDICATES NEW A/C EQUIPMENT ON CONCRETE
 PADS AT A ELEVATION OF 13.5'. NOTE THIS IS THE MINIMUM
 BASE FLOOD ELEVATION FOR SLABS LOCATED IN A FLOOD ZONE.
 FBC BUILDING 3110.1.2 / CITY OF WPB CODE OF ORDINANCES
 SECTION 94-546. STRUCTURE IS LOCATED IN AN "A" FLOOD
 ZONE. A FLOOD ELEVATION CERTIFICATE WILL BE REQUIRED.

 MARCH 31, 2012.
 FEMA'S NEW ELEVATION CERTIFICATE (EC) WAS APPROVED FOR
 USE, EFFECTIVE MARCH 16, 2009, THROUGH MARCH 31, 2012.
 THE NEW EC WILL BE PHASED IN ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS UNTIL
 MARCH 31, 2010. ALTHOUGH THE OLD VERSION OF THE FORM IS
 NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR DISTRIBUTION, EXISTING COPIES
 MAY BE USED UNTIL MARCH 31, 2010. ELEVATIONS CERTIFIED

 WAS NOT BUILT ORIGINALLY AS AN A-4 ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY
 IF THE BUILDING STILL MEETS THE MINIMUM BUILDING TYPE
 FOR THE A-4 ASSEMBY OCCUPANCY PLEASE PROVIDE ANY AREA
 FRONTAGE INCREASES TAKEN AND IF THE TOTAL BUILDING IS

 6) BEFORE A PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT, MAY BE ISSUED, IMPACT

 PERMIT SET OF PLANS MUST BE STAMPED BY THAT OFFICE, AND
 A COPY OF THE PAID RECEIPT ATTACHED TO THE PERMIT
