 UPDATE THE CODE LIST TO REFERENCE THE 2010 EDITION OF
 THE FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION CODE WHICH CONTAINS THE
 2009 EDITION OF BOTH NFPA 1 AND NFPA 101 WITH FLORIDA
 AMENDMENTS.
  
 ALL CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION WORK SHALL CONFORM TO
 THE REQUIREMENTS OF NFPA 241. TRASH AND CONSTRUCTION
 DEBRIS SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE DAILY. SMOKING
 SHALL BE PROHIBITED EXCEPT IN DESIGNATED AREAS. ALL
 OTHER DEMOLITION OR CONSTRUCTION AREAS SHALL HAVE "NO
 SMOKING" SIGNS POSTED.
  
 WHERE SMOKING IS PERMITTED, SAFE RECEPTACLES FOR
 SMOKING MATERIALS SHALL BE PROVIDED.
  
 FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS SHALL REMAIN ACTIVE DURING
 DEMOLITION AND RENOVATION ACTIVITIES. IN THE EVENT A
 FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM IS OUT OF SERVICE FOR MORE THAN
 4-HOURS IN A 24-HOUR PERIOD, THE BUILDING SHALL BE
 PLACED UNDER A FIRE WATCH. ALL FIRE WATCH REQUESTS MUST
 BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING AND APPROVED BY THE OFFICE OF
 THE FIRE MARSHAL LOCATED AT 500 NORTH DIXIE HIGHWAY.
  
 PROVIDE AN EXTERIOR KEY SAFE TO ALLOW EMERGENCY
 RESPONDERS NON-FORCIBLE ENTRY INTO THE BUILDING DURING
 NON-BUSINESS HOURS. A KEY SAFE CAN BE ORDERED FROM
 WWW.KNOXBOX.COM.
  
 PROVIDE BUILDING ADDRESS VISIBLE FROM THE STREET.
 NUMBERS SHALL BE ATTACHED TO THE BUILDING AND BE AT
 LEAST SIX-INCHES IN HEIGHT WITH 1-INCH STROKE AND SHALL
 CONTRAST THE BACKGROUND.
  
 PROVIDE A LIFE SAFETY PLAN SHOWING ALL OCCUPANCY TYPES,
 OCCUPANT LOADS, FIRE RATED WALLS, EXIT SIGNS, EMERGENCY
 LIGHTING, TRAVEL DISTANCES, COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL ETC.
  
 PROVIDE ROOM NUMBERS (OR SIMILAR).
  
 INDICATE ALL DOORS TO BE EQUIPPED WITH PANIC OR FIRE
 EXIT HARDWARE.
  
 INDICATE THE AGE GROUPS THAT WILL BE UTILIZING THE
 SECOND FLOOR.
  
 INDICATE THE USE AND FIRE SEPARATION FOR THE
 MULTIPURPOSE ROOM. COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL EXCEEDS 20
 FEET AND SERVES MORE THAN 50 PERSONS. THE MULTIPURPOSE
 ROOM INDICATES AN OCCUPANT LOAD FACTOR OF 15 SQ.FT. PER
 PERSON; HOWEVER, NO FURNITURE OR SEATING IS INDICATED
 JUSTIFYING LESS CONCENTRATED USE (7 SQ. FT. PER
 PERSON).
  
 THE LARGE FLOOR OPENING AND ORNAMENTAL STAIR LOCATED
 CENTRALLY IN THE BUILDING SHALL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS
 OF SECTION 8.6.8 (CONVENIENCE OPENINGS) OF NFPA 101
 FLORIDA EDITION.
  
 EACH SMOKE OR FIRE-RATED WALL/PARTITION SHALL BE
 PERMANENTLY IDENTIFIED WITH SIGNS OR STENCILING READING
 FIRE/SMOKE BARRIER-PROTECT ALL OPENINGS. CHARACTERS
 SHALL BE AT LEAST 4-INCHES IN HEIGHT AND HALF-INCH IN
 WIDTH. IDENTIFICATION SHALL BE SPACED NOT MORE THAN 15
 FEET ON CENTER.
  
 PENETRATIONS THROUGH A FIRE-RATED WALL ASSEMBLY SHALL
 BE PROTECTED BY A FIRESTOP SYSTEM OR DEVICE.
  
 PROVIDE PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS. EXTINGUISHERS
 SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM RATING OF 2A:10BC AND SHALL BE
 TAGGED BY A LICENSED FIRE EXTINGUISHER COMPANY. TRAVEL
 DISTANCE TO EXTINGUISHERS SHALL NOT EXCEED 75 FEET.
  
 EVERY ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY ROOM NOT HAVING FIXED SEATS
 SHALL HAVE THE OCCUPANT LOAD OF THE ROOM POSTED IN A
 CONSPICUOUS PLACE NEAR THE MAIN EXIT FROM THE ROOM.
 SIGNS SHALL BE DURABLE AND INDICATE THE NUMBER OF
 OCCUPANTS PERMITTED FOR EACH ROOM.
  
 NO INTERIOR FLOOR/WALL/CEILING FINISH INFORMATION
 PROVIDED.
  
 PROVIDE TACTILE SIGNAGE AT ALL REQUIRED EXIT DOORS WITH
 EXIT SIGNS.
  
 ALL EXIT ACCESS CORRIDORS SHALL BE AT LEAST 6'-0" WIDE
 (CLEAR WIDTH).
  
 PROVIDE STAIR AND HANDRAIL DETAILS.
  
 DURING ITS SWING, ANY DOOR IN A MEANS OF EGRESS SHALL
 LEAVE NOT LESS THAN ONE-HALF OF THE REQUIRED WIDTH OF
 AN AISLE, CORRIDOR, HALLWAY OR LANDING UNOBSTRUCTED AND
 SHALL PROJECT NOT MORE THAN 7-INCHES INTO THE REQUIRED
 WIDTH OF THE EGRESS PATH WHEN FULLY OPEN.
  
 ENGINEERED FIRE ALARM AND FIRE SPRINKLER CONSTRUCTION
 DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR A GENERAL BUILDING PERMIT.
 AFTER THE BUILDING PERMIT HAS BEEN ISSUED, THE
 SUBCONTRACTORS CAN THEN SUBMIT SHOP DRAWINGS
 (CONFORMING TO THE ENGINEERED CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS)
 FOR A SUB-PERMIT. SEPARATE PLANS AND PERMITS ARE
 REQUIRED FOR THE INSTALLATION OR MODIFICATION OF THE
 FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM AND/OR FIRE ALARM SYSTEM.
  
 PER FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE SECTION 61G15-32.004,
 FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEERING DOCUMENTS SHALL INCLUDE THE
 POINT OF SERVICE FOR THE WATER SUPPLY, A LIST OF
 APPLICABLE NFPA STANDARDS APPLICABLE TO THE PROJECT,
 CLASSIFICATION OF HAZARD OCCUPANCY FOR EACH ROOM OR
 AREA, SUPPRESSION SYSTEM TYPE, DESIGN DENSITIES, WATER
 SUPPLY DATA (FIRE PUMP DATA, HYDRANT FLOW TEST DATA)
 AND ANY PERFORMANCE BASED INFORMATION SUCH AS
 PRE-ENGINEERED SYSTEMS.
  
 PROVIDE CHAIN WITH LOCK AND TAMPER SWITCHES FOR
 SUPERVISING THE BACKFLOW PREVENTER IN THE OPEN
 POSITION.
  
 PROVIDE LOCKING KNOX CAPS ON FIRE DEPARTMENT
 CONNECTION.
  
 PROVIDE PERMANENT WEATHERPROOF SIGN MARKING THE FIRE
 DEPARTMENT CONNECTION.
  
 FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM SHALL BE MONITORED BY AN APPROVED
 SUPERVISING STATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA 72.
  
 A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION AND A THIRD PARTY
 MONITORING/VERIFICATION (UL OR ETL) CERTIFICATE SHALL
 BE PROVIDED AT TIME OF FINAL FIRE ALARM INSPECTION.
  
 NO HVAC PLANS PROVIDED.
