 NOMENCLATURE INDICATES THIS IS A CONSTRUCTED FROM HEAVY
 TIMBER. I BELIEVE THE DESIGNER IS USING
 BUILDING TYPES FROM THE 2001 FBC-B. THE 2001 FBC-B IV
 PROTECTED IS DEFINED UNDER THE 2007 FBC-B AS A TYPE IIA
 1 HOUR PROTECTED. THE PLANS ALSO INDICATE THIS
 STRUCTURE TO BE
 FULLY SPRINKLERED. PLEASE CORRECT TO THE 2007 FBC-B.
 THE DESIGNER DOES NOT STATE ON THIS SHEET TO WHICH CODE
 THE PLANS ARE DESIGNED. FIGURE 600 2007 FBC-B

 BACK TO BACK. 1028.3 DOORS THAT SWING INTO AN EXIT
 ACCESS CORRIDOR SHALL BE RECESSED TO PREVENT
 INTERFERENCE WITH CORRIDOR TRAFFIC; ANY DOORS NOT
 RECESSED SHALL OPEN 180 DEGREES (3.1 RAD) TO STOP
 AGAINST THE WALL. DOORS IN ANY POSITION SHALL NOT
 REDUCE THE REQUIRED CORRIDOR WIDTH BY MORE THAN
 ONE-HALF. NOTE NEITHER DOORS NOR CLASSROOMS ARE
 NUMBERED FOR IDENTIFYING PURPOSES, THESE CODE
 VIOLATIONS OCCUR BOTH IN THE DESIGN FIRST FLOOR AND
 SECOND FLOOR. MANY DOORS ARE CONFIGURERED IN THE CORNER
 OF CLASSROOMS BACK TO BACK SO THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO
 SWING 180 DEGREES 6'-0" CORRIDORS WITH NO ALCOVES

 A SHEETS INDICATE THE ATRIUM WALLS AS 1 HOUR RATED,
 MECHANICAL ARE MISSING FIRE DAMPERS AND THE 1ST AND 2ND
 FLOOR CORRIDOR WALLS ARE INDICATED AS SMOKE PARTITIONS
 BUT ARE MISSING THE FIRE SMOKE DAMPERS. SEE 2007/09

 PLEASE PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION FOR CODE COMPLIANCE WITH
 THE FOLLOWING :
  
 2007/09 FBC-B 404.5 ENCLOSURE OF ATRIUMS. ATRIUM SPACES
 SHALL BE SEPARATED FROM ADJACENT SPACES BY A 1-HOUR
 FIRE BARRIER CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 706
 OR A HORIZONTAL ASSEMBLY CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 SECTION 711, OR BOTH.
 EXCEPTIONS:
 1. A GLASS WALL FORMING A SMOKE PARTITION WHERE
 AUTOMATIC SPRINKLERS ARE SPACED 6 FEET (1829 MM) OR
 LESS ALONG BOTH SIDES OF THE SEPARATION WALL, OR ON THE
 ROOM SIDE ONLY IF THERE IS NOT A WALKWAY ON THE ATRIUM
 SIDE, AND BETWEEN 4 INCHES AND 12 INCHES (102 MM AND
 305 MM) AWAY FROM THE GLASS AND DESIGNED SO THAT THE
 ENTIRE SURFACE OF THE GLASS IS WET UPON ACTIVATION OF
 THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM WITHOUT OBSTRUCTION. THE GLASS

 ENCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS. WHERE THE WORK AREA ON ANY

 THAT ARE PART OF THE MEANS OF EGRESS SERVING THE WORK
 AREA SHALL, AT A MINIMUM, BE ENCLOSED WITH SMOKE-TIGHT
 CONSTRUCTION ON THE HIGHEST WORK AREA FLOOR AND ALL
 FLOORS BELOW.

 OF 72" FBC-B 1017.2 EX # 4 .WITH OCCUPANT LOADS GREATER
 THAN 100 THIS CORRIDOR WILL NEED TO BE A MINIMUM OF 72"
 WIDE.

 THAT LEEDS TO THE SIDE EXIT, IT APPEARS THE OCCUPANT
