 REVIEW COMMENTS - FIRE DEPARTMENT
  
 UPDATE THE CODE LIST TO REFERENCE THE 2010 EDITION OF
 THE FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION CODE WHICH CONTAINS THE
 2009 EDITION OF BOTH NFPA 1 AND NFPA 101 WITH FLORIDA
 AMENDMENTS.
  
 THE OCCUPANCY OF THE PROJECT APPEARS TO BE AN ASSEMBLY
 OCCUPANCY IN LIEU OF A BUSINESS OCCUPANCY.THE OCCUPANT
 LOAD FACTOR FOR EXERCISE ROOMS WITH EQUIPMENT SHOULD BE
 50 SQ.FT. PER PERSON AND 15 SQ.FT. PER PERSON FOR
 EXERCISE ROOMS WITHOUT EQUIPMENT PER TABLE 7.3.1.2 OF
 NFPA 101.
  
 THE BUILDING IS FUNCTIONING AS A MULTIUSE OCCUPANCY.
 INDICATE IF THE BUILDING IS DESIGNED FOR MIXED USE
 (NON-SEPARATED) OR SEPARATED USE PER SECTION 6.1.14.2.1
 OF NFPA 101 FLORIDA EDITION 2006. SEPARATED USE WILL
 REQUIRE A 1-HOUR FIRE BARRIER BETWEEN THE ASSEMBLY
 OCCUPANCY AND THE BUSINESS OCCUPANCY PER TABLE
 6.1.14.4.1(B).
  
 EVERY ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY ROOM NOT HAVING FIXED SEATS
 SHALL HAVE THE OCCUPANT LOAD OF THE ROOM POSTED IN A
 CONSPICUOUS PLACE NEAR THE MAIN EXIT FROM THE ROOM.
 SIGNS SHALL BE DURABLE AND INDICATE THE NUMBER OF
 OCCUPANTS PERMITTED FOR EACH ROOM.
  
 FOR AN ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY WITH AN OCCUPANT LOAD OF 100
 OR MORE PERSONS, PANIC HARDWARE SHALL BE PROVIDED ON
 DOORS TO RELEASE THE LOCK/LATCH. NO OTHER LOCKS OR
 LATCHES ARE PERMITTED THAT WOULD NOT BE RELEASED BY THE
 PANIC HARDWARE.
  
 FIRE-RATED WALLS SHALL BE PERMANENTLY IDENTIFIED WITH
 SIGNS OR STENCILING READING FIRE/SMOKE BARRIER?PROTECT
 ALL OPENINGS. CHARACTERS SHALL BE AT LEAST 4-INCHES IN
 HEIGHT AND HALF-INCH IN WIDTH. IDENTIFICATION SHALL BE
 SPACED NOT MORE THAN 15 FEET ON CENTER.
  
 SHEET D1.0: EXISTING STAIR APPEARS TO DISCHARGE INTO
 FITNESS CENTER.
  
 SHEET E2.1: PROVIDE THE NEW FIRE ALARM NOTIFICATION
 APPLIANCE LAYOUT.
