 OCCUPANT LOAD AND EGRESS CAPACITIES
  
 2) EMERGENCY ESCAPE & RECUE OPENINGS
 1026.4.1 EVERY ROOM OR SPACE GREATER THAN 250 SQUARE
 FEET (23.2 M2) IN EDUCATIONAL OCCUPANCIES USED FOR
 CLASSROOM OR OTHER EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES OR NORMALLY
 SUBJECT TO STUDENT OCCUPANCY AND EVERY ROOM OR SPACE
 NORMALLY SUBJECT TO CLIENT OCCUPANCY, OTHER THAN
 BATHROOMS, IN GROUP D OCCUPANCIES SHALL HAVE NOT LESS
 THAN ONE OUTSIDE WINDOW FOR EMERGENCY RESCUE THAT
 COMPLIES WITH THE FOLLOWING:
  
 2)1. SUCH WINDOWS SHALL BE OPENABLE FROM THE INSIDE
 WITHOUT THE USE OF TOOLS AND SHALL PROVIDE A CLEAR
 OPENING OF NOT LESS THAN 20 INCHES (508 MM) IN WIDTH,
 24 INCHES (610 MM) IN HEIGHT, AND 5.7 SQUARE FEET (0.53
 M2) IN AREA.
  
 2)2. THE BOTTOM OF THE OPENING SHALL BE NOT MORE THAN
 44 INCHES (1118 MM) ABOVE THE FLOOR, AND ANY LATCHING
 DEVICE SHALL BE CAPABLE OF BEING OPERATED FROM NOT MORE
 THAN 54 INCHES (1372 MM) ABOVE THE FINISHED FLOOR.
  
 3) THE ROOM WITH BI-FOLD DOORS DOES NOT SHOW THE
 INTENDED USE. 436.2 CLOSET DOORS. EVERY CLOSET DOOR
 LATCH SHALL BE SUCH THAT CLIENTS CAN OPEN THE DOOR FROM
 INSIDE THE CLOSET.
  
 4) 436.3 BATHROOM DOORS. EVERY BATHROOM DOOR LOCK SHALL
 BE DESIGNED TO PERMIT OPENING OF THE LOCKED DOOR FROM
 THE OUTSIDE IN AN EMERGENCY. THE OPENING DEVICE SHALL
 BE READILY ACCESSIBLE TO THE STAFF.
  
 5) 436.4 DOOR CLOSURE. ANY EXIT DOOR DESIGNED TO BE
 NORMALLY CLOSED SHALL BE KEPT CLOSED AND SHALL COMPLY
 WITH SECTION 715.3.
  
  
 6) THE ROOM WITH THE BI-FOLD DOORS DOES NOT SHOW THE
 INTENDED USE. 436.6.1 THE FOLLOWING ROOMS OR SPACES
 SHALL BE SEPARATED FROM THE REMAINDER OF THE BUILDING
 BY FIRE BARRIERS HAVING A FIRE RESISTANCE RATING OF NOT
 LESS THAN 1-HOUR OR SHALL BE PROTECTED BY AN APPROVED
 AUTOMATIC EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM.
  
 1. BOILER AND FURNACE ROOMS. EXCEPTION: ROOMS ENCLOSING
 ONLY AIR-HANDLING EQUIPMENT.
 2. ROOMS OR SPACES USED FOR THE STORAGE OF COMBUSTIBLE
 SUPPLIES IN QUANTITIES DEEMED HAZARDOUS BY THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL.
 3. ROOMS OR SPACES USED FOR THE STORAGE OF HAZARDOUS
 MATERIALS OR FLAMMABLE OR COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS IN
 QUANTITIES DEEMED HAZARDOUS BY RECOGNIZED STANDARDS.
 4. JANITOR CLOSETS. THE NEW UTILITY SINK IS WITHIN THE
 SAME ROOM AS THE 2 YEAR OLDS, NOT SEPERATED BY A ONE
 HOUR ENCLOSURE WITH OPENING PROTECTIVES.
  
 7) 436.7 DETECTION AND ALARM SYSTEMS. DAY CARE
 OCCUPANCIES SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH A FIRE ALARM SYSTEM
 IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 907 AND THIS SECTION.
  
 8) FBC-B TABLE 1017.1 DAYCARE OCCUPANCY WITH AN
 OCCUPANT LOAD GREATER THAN 30 REQUIRES 1 HR RATED
 CORRIDORS WHEN THERE IS NO FIRE SPRINKLERS.
 436.8 CORRIDORS. EVERY INTERIOR CORRIDOR SHALL BE
 CONSTRUCTED OF WALLS HAVING NOT LESS THAN A 1-HOUR
 FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING.
 EXCEPTIONS:
 1. IN BUILDINGS PROTECTED THROUGHOUT BY AN APPROVED,
 SUPERVISED AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE
 WITH SECTIONS 901.6 AND 903.3.1.1 CORRIDOR WALLS SHALL
 NOT BE REQUIRED TO BE RATED, PROVIDED THAT SUCH WALLS
 FORM SMOKE PARTITIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 710.
 2. WHERE THE CORRIDOR CEILING IS AN ASSEMBLY HAVING AN
 1-HOUR FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING WHERE TESTED AS A WALL,
 THE CORRIDOR WALLS SHALL BE PERMITTED TO TERMINATE AT
 THE CORRIDOR CEILING.
  
 9) ROOM LABELED TOTS AND BABIES INDICATES A NEW
 EXTERIOR DOORWAY. PLEASE PROVIDE STRUCTURAL INFORMATION
 AS TO TYPE OF EXTERIOR WALL WWOOD FRAME OR BLOCK CMU?
 HOW TTHE WALL WILL BE REINFORCED WITH COLUMNS &
 RE-INFORCING, BEAMS OR LINTELS FOR MASONRY AND WOOD
 FRAME THE NUMBER OF FULL LENGTH STUDS EACH SIDE OF THE
 DOORWAY, THE NUMBER OF CRIPPLE OR JACK STUDS, SIZE OF
 HEADER AND STRAPPING, PART OF THE MAIN WIND FORCE
 RESISTING SYSTEM.FBC-B 1609.
  
 10) THE NEW EXTERIOR DOOR WILL ALSO REQUIRE THE WIND
 DESIGN CRITERIA FBC-B 1609:
 1609.6.2 WIND DESIGN PROCEDURES
 1) THE BASIC WIND SPEED, V, SHALL BE DETERMINED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 1609.3. THE WIND SHALL BE
 ASSUMED TO COME FROM ANY HORIZONTAL DIRECTION.
 2) AN IMPORTANCE FACTOR, IW, SHALL BE DETERMINED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION1609.5.
 3) AN EXPOSURE CATEGORY SHALL BE DETERMINED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH 1609.4.
 4) A HEIGHT AND EXPOSURE ADJUSTMENT COEFFICIENT, *
 SHALL BE DETERMINED FROM TABLE 1609.6.2.1(4)
 5) POSITIVE & NEGATIVE PRESSURES ON THE NEW OPENING
  
 11) 106.3.3 PRODUCT APPROVALS. THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE
 REGULATED BY THE DCA RULE 9B-72 SHALL BE REVIEWED AND
 APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD PRIOR TO
 SUBMITTAL FOR JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL.

 13) FBC-B 11-4.1.6(2) ALTERATIONS TO AN AREA CONTAINING
 A PRIMARY FUNCTION.
 IN ADDITION TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 11-4.1.6(1),
 AN ALTERATION THAT AFFECTS OR COULD AFFECT THE
 USABILITY OF OR ACCESS TO AN AREA CONTAINING A PRIMARY
 FUNCTION SHALL BE MADE SO AS TO ENSURE THAT, TO THE
 MAXIMUM EXTENT FEASIBLE, THE PATH OF TRAVEL TO THE
