 DENIED BY BUILDING
  
 1) THE DESCRIPTION OF WORK ON THE APPLICATION IS TO
 RENEW EXTERIOR ONLY AND LISTS THE VALUE OF THE WORK AS
 $2000.00. THE PLANS THAT WERE SUBMITTED SHOW A COMPLETE
 REMODEL WITH A BATHROOM AND KITCHEN. THE PERMIT VALUE
 FOR THE AMOUNT OF WORK SHOWN ON THE PLANS IS MUCH MORE
 THAN $2000.00. CITY AMENDMENTS 108.3. PLEASE CLARIFY.
  
 2) THIS STRUCTURE WAS ORIGINALLY CONSTRUCTED AS A
 GARAGE. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT THIS STRUCTURE WAS
 LEGALLY CONVERTED TO AN APARTMENT AS INDICATED ON THE
 PLANS. UNLESS YOU CAN PROVIDE PROOF THAT THE CHANGE
 FROM GARAGE TO APARTMENT WAS PREVIOUSLY PERMITTED,
 INSPECTED AND APPROVED BY THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT, THIS
 WILL BE CONSIDERED A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY FROM AN
 EXISTING GARAGE TO A RESIDENCE. FBC EXISTING BUILDING
 SECTION 406.
  
 3) CITY AMENDMENTS 108.3 FOR PERMITTING PURPOSES,
 VALUATION OF BUILDINGS AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE THE TOTAL
 REPLACEMENT VALUE TO INCLUDE STRUCTURAL, ELECTRIC,
 PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, INTERIOR FINISH, ARCHITECTURAL
 AND DESIGN FEES, OVERHEAD AND PROFIT. PLEASE ADJUST
 VALUE TO REFLECT SCOPE OF WORK.
  
 4) FBC EXISTING BUILDING SECTION 907.2 WIND LOADS,
 REQUIRES STRUCTURES SUBJECT TO A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY
 WHERE SUCH CHANGE IN THE NATURE OF OCCUPANCY RESULTS IN
 HIGHER WIND IMPORTANCE FACTORS BASED ON THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING TABLE 1604.5, SHALL BE ANALYZED
 AND SHALL COMPLY WITH THE APPLICABLE WIND LOAD
 PROVISIONS OF THE FBC. PROVIDE TWO SETS OF A SIGNED AND
 SEALED WIND LOAD ANALYSIS OF THE STRUCTURE.
  
 5) SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF ENERGY CALCULATIONS AS REQUIRED
 BY THE 2007 FBC ENERGY GLITCH AMENDMENTS SECTION
 N1100.0.7 FOR THE PROPOSED APARTMENT.
  
 6) THE NEW BATHROOM IS REQUIRED TO HAVE A DOOR THAT HAS
 A 29 INCH CLEAR OPENING PER FBC 11-4.22.2.
  
 7) PROVIDE TWO COPIES OF A SURVEY SHOWING THE LOCATION
 OF THE EXISTING STRUCTURE AND THE DISTANCE TO PROPERTY
 LINES AND OTHER STRUCTURES LOCATED ON THE SAME PARCEL.

 8) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC R303.3 FOR REQUIRED
 BATHROOM MECHANICAL VENTILATION.
  
 9) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC R303.8 FOR REQUIRED HEATING
 FACILITIES.
  
 10) FBC R703.6.3 WHICH REQUIRES A BOND BREAK BETWEEN
 THE WATER RESISTIVE BARRIER AND THE STUCCO ON THE
 EXTERIOR WALLS.
  
 11) SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF A KEY PLAN AND INSTALLATION
 SCHEDULE FOR THE STORM PANELS. FBC R301.2.1.2
  
 12) SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR NEW
 EXTERIOR FRENCH DOORS, STORM PANELS, TRUSS ANCHORS,
 STRAPS AND CONNECTORS AS REQUIRED BY DCA RULE 9N-3.
  
 13) PRODUCT APPROVALS ARE REQUIRED TO BE REVIEWED AND
 APPROVED BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD PER CITY AMENDMENTS
 106.3.3.
  
 14) PLEASE PROVIDE A RESPONSE LETTER INDICATING HOW
 EACH REVIEW COMMENT WAS ADDRESSED.
