 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS,
 SYSTEMS, AND SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS
 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) THE FIRST OF TWO ISSUES ARE, THERE APPEARS TO BE TWO
 TYPES OF OCCUPANCIES, RETAIL AND BUSINESS. 2007/09
 FBC-B TABLE 508.3.3 INDICATES NO SEPERATION IS
 REQUIRED.
 THE TRUE ISSUE IS IF THERE ARE TWO SEPERATE TENANTS,
 ONE FOR THE BUSINESS OCCUPANCY, THE OTHER FOR THE
 MERCANTILE OCCUPANCY. IF SO TENANT SEPERATION WILL BE
 REQUIRED.
 2007/09 FBC-B 708.1(7) WALLS SEPERATING INDIVIDUAL
 TENANT SEPERATION WALLS.
  
 2) TENANT SEPERATION WALLS (FIRE PARTITIONS) SHALL BE
 CONSTRUCTED TO THE ROOF DECK ABOVE. SHEET 2 INDICATES
 THE TENANT SEPERATION WALL STOPPING AT THE 12'-0"
 LEVEL.
 FBC-B 708.4 SEE CONTINUITY.
  
 3) PLEASE PROVIDE A DOOR SCHEDULE FOR PROTECTED
 OPENINGS ( RATED DOORS & WINDOWS) PER 2007 / 09 FBC-B
 TABLE 715.4.
  
 4) PLEASE NOTE ON PLANS AT DROPED CEILING SIDE OF RATED
 WALL: 712.6 FIRE WALLS, FIRE BARRIERS, FIRE PARTITIONS,
 SMOKE BARRIERS AND SMOKE PARTITIONS OR ANY OTHER WALL
 REQUIRED TO HAVE PROTECTED OPENINGS SHALL BE
 EFFECTIVELY AND PERMANENTLY IDENTIFIED WITH SIGNS OR
 STENCILING IN A MANNER ACCEPTABLE TO THE AUTHORITY
 HAVING JURISDICTION. SUCH IDENTIFICATION SHALL BE ABOVE
 ANY DECORATIVE CEILING AND IN CONCEALED SPACES.
 SUGGESTED WORDING FOR FIRE AND SMOKE BARRIERS: "FIRE
 AND SMOKE BARRIER - PROTECT ALL OPENINGS."
  
 5) PLEASE PROVIDE A THROUGH PENETRATION FIRE STOP
 SYSTEM (FBC-B 712.3.1.2 FOR RATED WALL ASSEMBLY.
  
 6) SHEET 3 INDICATESS ONE OF THE BUSINESS OCCUPANCIES
 MEANS OF EGRESS (EXIT SIGN) IS THROUGH THE MERCANTILE
 SECTION OF THE BUILDING. FBC-B 1014.2.1 MULTIPLE
 TENANTS.
 THE EXIT SIGN SHOULD BE REMOVED SINCE THE BUSINESS
 OCCUPANTS HAVE TO TRAVEL THROUGH THE MERCANTILE
 OCCUPANCY WHICH IS NOT UNDERTHEIR CONTROL.
