 THRESHOLD INSPECTION PLAN FL S. S. 553.71(7) "
 THRESHOLD BUILDING" MEANING ANY BUILDING WHICH IS
 GREATER THAN (3) STORIES OR 50 FT IN HEIGHT, OR WHICH
 HAS AN ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION AS DENIED IN
 THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE WHICH EXCEEDS 5,000 SQ FT IN AREA
 AND AN OCCUPANT CONTENT OF GREATER THAN 500 PERSONS.
  
 1A) 109.3.6.1 THE ENFORCING AGENCY SHALL REQUIRE A
 SPECIAL INSPECTOR TO PERFORM STRUCTURAL INSPECTIONS ON
 A THRESHOLD BUILDING PURSUANT TO A STRUCTURAL
 INSPECTION PLAN PREPARED BY THE ENGINEER OF RECORD. THE
 STRUCTURAL INSPECTION PLAN MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE
 ENFORCING AGENCY PRIOR TO THE ISSUANCE OF A BUILDING
 PERMIT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A THRESHOLD BUILDING.
 THE PURPOSE OF THE STRUCTURAL INSPECTION PLAN IS TO
 PROVIDE SPECIFIC INSPECTION PROCEDURES AND SCHEDULES SO
 THAT THE BUILDING CAN BE ADEQUATELY INSPECTED FOR
 COMPLIANCE WITH THE PERMITTED DOCUMENTS.

 W.P.B. AMENDMENT 109.3.6.4.4 ALL PLANS FOR THE BUILDING
 WHICH ARE REQUIRED TO BE SIGNED AND SEALED BY THE
 ARCHITECT OR ENGINEER OF RECORD CONTAIN A STATEMENT
 THAT, TO THE BEST OF THE ARCHITECT'S PR ENGINEER'S
 KNOWLEDGE, THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS COMPLY WITH THE
 APPLICABLE FIRE-SAFETY STANDARDS AS DETERMINED BY THE
 LOCAL AUTHORITY IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH THIS SECTION AND 633 FLORIDA STATUTE.

 BY ALL CERTIFICATES AS SPECIFIED HEREIN. THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL OR HIS DESIGNEE WILL REVIEW THE RESUME'. AFTER
 THE RESUME' IS REVIEWED, AN
 INTERVIEW WILL BE SCHEDULED. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES
 WILL AN INSPECTOR BE INTERVIEWED FOR WORK WITHOUT FIRST

 BUILDING IS TO BE DESIGNED TO A BUILDING TYPE IIB.
 PLEASE NOTE THE MINIMUM CODE REQUIRED BUILDING TYPE
 WOULD BE A VB WITH THE AREA INCREASES & FIRE SPRINKLER
 INCREASE WE WOULD BE WELL OVER THE REQUIRED MINIMUMS OF
 THE CODE. BUILDING THIS STRUCTURE AS A TYPE IIB
 STRUCTURE PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE ROOF ASSEMBLY AND ROOF
 SHEATHING LIMITATIONS. PLEASE REVIEW 2007/09 FBC-B
 SECTION
 603.1.3. FIRE-RETARDANT-TREATED WOOD SHALL BE PERMITTED
 IN: 1.3. ROOF CONSTRUCTION, INCLUDING GIRDERS, TRUSSES,
 FRAMING AND DECKING. THIS WOULD MEAN ALL NEW MATERIALS
 AS WELL AS THE EXISTING ROOF FRAMING AND SHEATHING
 WOULD NEED TO MEET THE FIRE RESISTANT- TREATED
 MATERIALS.
  
 3A) SHEET A-1 NOTE #19 INDICATES THE REMOVAL OF BLOCK
 WALLS WHICH APPEAR TO BE EXTERIOR BEARING WALLS WITH NO
 ADDITIONAL STRUCTURAL SUPPORT OF THE EXISTING BEAMS.
 NORMALLY THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN A 4 BAR SYSTEM NO HOOPS
 SINCE THERE WAS BLOCK WORK BELOW. SHEET A-5 INDICATES
 THE NEW PIGGYBACK TRUSSES, SHEATHING AND ROOFING
 ASSEMBLIES WILL BE ADDING ADDITIONAL LOADING TO THE
 BEAM THAT WAS NOT DESIGNED FOR FREE SPANS.
 PLEASE REVIEW SECTION:
 2007/09 EXISTING BLDG CODE 1003.2 ADDITIONAL GRAVITY
 LOADS. EXISTING STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS SUPPORTING ANY
 ADDITIONAL GRAVITY LOADS AS A RESULT OF ADDITIONS SHALL
 COMPLY WITH THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING .
 EXCEPTION: 1. STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS WHOSE STRESS IS NOT
 INCREASED BY MORE THAN 5 PERCENT.
 PLANS INDICATE THE USE OF C-CHANNEL PN-39 & PN-58. THE
 PLANS ALSO INDICATE A DETAIL# 02/A-4 A END DETAIL FOR
 THE SOUTH END, SHEET A-3 THE NORTH END INDICATES WHAT
 APPEARS TO BE A NEW FOOTING BUT NO DETAILS HOW TO TAKE
 THE LOADING OF THE PAIR OF C-CHANNELS PN-39. WILL THER
 BE SHOP DRAWINGS INDICATING WHERE THE SPLICES WILL
 OCURR IN THE C-CHANNEL?
  
 3B) THE 2ND CONCERN WOULD BE THE ADDITIONAL LOAD THE
 PIGGYBACK TRUSSES ARE TTRANSFERRING TO THE ORIGINAL
 TRUSSES IN SOME CASES THE ORIGINAL TRUSSES AARE
 CARRYING ANYWHERE FROM 25-50 % OF THE DEAD LOAD OF THE
 NEW TRUSSES, PLEASE PROVIDE A STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS OF
 THTE EXISTING TRUSSES TO CARRY THIS ADDITIONAL LOADING.
 2007/09 EXISTING BLDG CODE 1003.2 ADDITIONAL GRAVITY
 LOADS. EXISTING STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS SUPPORTING ANY
 ADDITIONAL GRAVITY LOADS AS A RESULT OF ADDITIONS SHALL
 COMPLY WITH THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING .

 ADDITION. TO REUSE THESE WINDOWS WITHIN THE ADDITION
 THEY MUST MEET THE STANDARD FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION IN THE
 FBC-B. FLORIDA EXISTING BUILDING CODE 1003.1 COMPLIANCE
 WITH THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE. ADDITIONS TO EXISTING
 BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURES ARE NEW CONSTRUCTION AND SHALL
 COMPLY WITH THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
 PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION FOR LARGE MISSILE IMPACT
 RESISTANT TESTING FBC-B 1609.1.2 AND FOR FBC-B

 5) SHEET A-2 BUILDING CODE ANALYSIS, PLEASE REVIEW WIND
 DESIN CRITERIA, SPECIFICLLY THE IMPORTANCE FACTOR OF
 1.0. PLEASE REVIEW 2007 FBC-B TABLE 1604.5 OCCUPANCY
 CATEGORY III AND NATURE OF OCCUPANCY & TTHE CODE
 COMMENTARY. THE CODE COMENTARY LIST THE ASSEMBLY
 OCCUPANCY GREATER THAN 300 OCCUPANTS AS A TYPE III
 OCCUPANCY CATEGORY WILL HAVE AN IMPORTANCE FACTOR III
 WHICH TRANSLATES INTO 1.15 IN HURRICANE PRONE REGIONS
 WITH
 V > 100 MPH. THIS WILL EFFECT ALL PRESSURES ON THE MAIN
 FORCE RESISTING SYSTEM AS WELL AS COMPONENTS AND
 CLADDING, AN ANALYSIS WILL ALSO NEED TO BE
 COMPLETED FOR THE ORIGINAL BUILDING.
  
 6) PLEASE PROVIDE COMPLIANCE WITH: 2007/09 FBC-B [F]
 907.2.1 GROUP A. A MANUAL FIRE ALARM SYSTEM SHALL BE
 INSTALLED IN GROUP A OCCUPANCIES HAVING AN OCCUPANT
 LOAD OF 300 OR MORE.
 EXCEPTION: MANUAL FIRE ALARM BOXES ARE NOT REQUIRED
 WHERE THE BUILDING IS EQUIPPED THROUGHOUT WITH AN
 AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM AND THE ALARM NOTIFICATION
 APPLIANCES WILL ACTIVATE UPON SPRINKLER WATER FLOW.
  
 7) FL BLD CODE 1609.6.2.2 COMPONENTS & CLADDING,
 PROVIDE 3 (THRESHOLD INSPECTOR) COPIES OF PRODUCT
 TESTING REPORTS FOR THE MISSING REPORTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

 7E) ROOFING ASSEMBLIES
  
 8) 106.3.3 PRODUCT APPROVALS. THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE
 REGULATED BY THE DCA RULE 9B-72 SHALL BE REVIEWED AND
 APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD PRIOR TO
 SUBMITTAL FOR JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL.
  
 9) BEFORE A PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT, MAY BE ISSUED, IMPACT
 FEES MUST BE PAID TO PALM BEACH COUNTY. THE ACTUAL
 PERMIT SET OF PLANS MUST BE STAMPED BY THAT OFFICE, AND
 A COPY OF THE PAID RECEIPT ATTACHED TO THE PERMIT
