 PLEASE RESPOND TO REVIEW COMMENTS IN WRITTEN FORMAT.
  
 1. PLEASE PROVIDE A CERTIFIED COST ESTIMATE THAT
 INCLUDES THE TOTAL COST OF ALL LANDSCAPE MATERIALS AND
 LABOR, BROKEN DOWN INTO UNIT COST.
  
 2. PLEASE PROVIDE THE TABULATION NECESSARY FOR THE
 EVALUATION OF COMPLIANCE WITH ARTICLE XIV OF THE ZONING
 AND LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, INCLUDING THE
 XERISCAPE DESIGN OPTIONS.
  
 3. LAUREL OAK DOES BEST IN A WET ENVIRONMENT AND HAS A
 SHORT LIFE SPAN. LIVE OAK WOULD BE A BETTER CHOICE FOR
 THIS TYPE OF APPLICATION.
  
 4. PLEASE APPLY FOR A TREE ALTERATION PERMIT. SUBMIT
 TWO COPIES OF THE LANDSCAPE PLAN WITH THE APPLICATION.
 A COPY FO THE APPLICATION IS AVAILABLE AT THE FRONT
 DESK OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING DEPARTMENT.
  
 5. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-444 (B), OUTDOOR
 INCINERATORS, GARBAGE OR TRASH CONTAINERS, FUEL OIL OR
 PROPANE TANKS AND STORAGE RACKS SHALL NOT BE PERMITTED
 UNLESS APPROPRIATE SCREENING IS PROVIDED. SCREENING
 SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF BRICK, DECORATIVE CONCRETE,
 OTHER DECORATIVE MASONRY, OR COMPARABLY DURABLE WOOD
 AND STEEL. WALLS SHALL BE LANDSCAPED WITH SHRUBS AND
 HEDGES PLANTED AT TWO-FOOT INTERVALS. A FOUR-SIDED
 ENCLOSURE WITH AN OBSCURING GATE IS REQUIRED. ALL OTHER
 MECHANICAL ITEMS SHALL BE IDENTIFIED AND APPROPRIATELY
 SCREENED.
  
 6. PLEASE SHOW ALL UTILITIES, EASEMENTS, SITE LIGHTING
 AND ANY OTHER ITEMS ON THE LANDSCAPE PLAN THAT MAY HAVE
 AN IMPACT UPON THE PROPOSED LANDSCAPING.
  
 7. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-443 (B) (1), FOR ALL
 NONRESIDENTIAL USES, THE LANDSCAPE BUFFER STRIP SHALL
 BE AT LEAST FIVE FEET WIDE ALONG THE ENTIRE EDGE OF
 PROPERTY WHEN ADJACENT TO A PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE, AND
 WHEN TO NONRESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICTS. PLEASE
 DIMENSION THE SITE PLAN AND PROVIDE A COPY WITH THIS
 PERMIT APPLICATION. THE BUFFER ALONG TAMARIND DOES NOT
 APPEAR TO MEET MINIMUM STANDARDS.
  
 8. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-443 (B) (4), AT LEAST ONE
 SHADE OR FLOWERING TREE SHALL BE PLANTED IN A REQUIRED
 BUFFER STRIP FOR EACH 30 LINEAR FEET OR PORTION
 THEREOF. THIS APPLIES TO THE TAMARIND CORRIDOR. THE
 EXISTING PALMS DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT.
