 OPENINGS IN EXIT ENCLOSURES SHALL BE LIMITED TO DOORS
 FROM NORMALLY OCCUPIED SPACES AND DOORS FOR EGRESS FROM
 THE ENCLOSURE. PENETRATIONS INTO AND OPENINGS THROUGH
 AN EXIT ENCLOSURE ARE LIMITED TO SERVICES SPECIFICALLY
 SERVING THE ENCLOSURE SUCH AS FIRE SPRINKLERS, EGRESS
 DOORS ETC.
  
 EACH NEW SMOKE OR FIRE-RATED WALL/PARTITION SHALL BE
 PERMANENTLY IDENTIFIED WITH SIGNS OR STENCILING READING
 FIRE/SMOKE BARRIER???PROTECT ALL OPENINGS. CHARACTERS
 SHALL BE AT LEAST 4-INCHES IN HEIGHT AND HALF-INCH IN
 WIDTH. IDENTIFICATION SHALL BE SPACED NOT MORE THAN 15
 FEET ON CENTER
  
 PROVIDE HANDRAILS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE STAIR.
  
 IN EXISTING BUILDINGS, WHERE A TWO-STORY EXIT ENCLOSURE
 CONNECTS THE STORY OF EXIT DISCHARGE WITH AN ADJACENT
 STORY, THE EXIT SHALL BE PERMITTED TO BE ENCLOSED ONLY
 ON THE STORY OF EXIT DISCHARGE.
  
 AN EXIT ENCLOSURE SHALL PROVIDE A CONTINUOUS PROTECTED
 PATH OF TRAVEL TO AN EXIT DISCHARGE. CURRENTLY THE
 STAIR ON THE SECOND FLOOR IS NOT CONTINUOUS WITH THE
 STAIR LEADING UP TO THE THIRD FLOOR.
  
 IN BUILDINGS PROTECTED THROUGHOUT BY A SPRINKLER
 SYSTEM, THE MINIMUM SEPARATION DISTANCE BETWEEN TWO
 EXITS OR EXIT ACCESS DOORS SHALL BE NOT LESS THAN
 ONE-THIRD THE LENGTH OF THE MAXIMUM OVERALL DIAGONAL
 DIMENSION OF THE BUILDING OR AREA BEING SERVED.
  
 FOR THE EXISTING SECOND FLOOR ORNAMENTAL STAIR,
 HANDRAILS SHALL BE PROVIDED WITHIN 44-INCHES OF ALL
 PORTIONS OF THE REQUIRED EGRESS WIDTH.
  
 THE OCCUPANT LOAD FACTOR FOR GROUND FLOOR MERCANTILE
 OCCUPANCIES IS 30 SQUARE FEET PER PERSON. THE
 CALCULATION SHOWN ON THE DRAWING IS USING 60 SQUARE
 FEET PER PERSON.
  
 DESCRIBE THE TYPE AND ARRANGEMENT OF STORAGE INTENDED
 FOR THE SECOND FLOOR.
  
 DESCRIBE HOW OCCUPANTS WILL BE PREVENTED FROM GAINING
 ACCESS TO THE THIRD FLOOR AND ROOF AREA.
  
 FOR ISSUANCE OF A GENERAL BUILDING PERMIT, SECTION
 105.3.1.2(2) OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE REQUIRES
 SEALED FIRE PROTECTION CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS FOR THE
 DESIGN OR ALTERATION OF 50 OR MORE AUTOMATIC FIRE
 SPRINKLERS.
  
 FOR ISSUANCE OF A GENERAL BUILDING PERMIT, SECTION
 105.3.1.2(4) OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE REQUIRES
 SEALED FIRE PROTECTION CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS WHEN THE
 FIRE ALARM JOB VALUE EXCEEDS $5,000.
  
 PROVIDE TACTILE SIGNAGE AT EXITS.
  
 STRUCTURES WITH LIGHT FRAME FLOOR/ROOF TRUSS
 CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE IDENTIFIED WITH A SIGN AFFIXED TO
 THE BUILDING. THE SIGN SHALL FEATURE A MALTESE CROSS
 8-INCHES WIDE AND 8-INCHES TALL AND BE OF A BRIGHT RED
 REFLECTIVE COLOR AND BEAR THE APPROPRIATE LETTER R/F/RF
 DESIGNATION PER FLORIDA STATUTE 633.027 AND FLORIDA
 ADMINISTRATIVE CODE 69A-60.0081.
  
 PROVIDE AN EXTERIOR KEY SAFE TO ALLOW EMERGENCY
 RESPONDERS NON-FORCIBLE ENTRY INTO THE BUILDING DURING
 NON-BUSINESS HOURS. A KEY SAFE CAN BE ORDERED FROM
