 THE COVERSHEET A0.01 INDICATES MINOR INTERIOR
 REMODELING AS A LEVEL TWO ALTERATION BUT THE PLANS
 INDICATE THE CHANGE OF USE A R3 RESIDENCE TO A
 COMMERCIAL USEAGE OCCUPANCY TYPE
 BUSINESS. THIS WILL CHANGE THE REQUIREMENTS TO BE
 COVERED UNDER THIS PERMIT.
  
 THIS PERMIT AND CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY WILL BE REVIEWED TO
 THE 2007/09 FLORIDA EXISTING BUILDING CODE CHAPTER 9
 CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY. 2007 FL EXISTING BUILDING CODE
 901.3 CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION. WHERE THE
 OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION OF A BUILDING CHANGES, THE
 PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS 902 THROUGH 912 SHALL APPLY.
  
 1) 903.1 GENERAL. BUILDING ELEMENTS AND MATERIALS IN
 PORTIONS OF BUILDINGS UNDERGOING A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY
 CLASSIFICATION SHALL COMPLY WITH SECTION 912.
  
 2) 905.1 GENERAL. MEANS OF EGRESS IN PORTIONS OF
 BUILDINGS UNDERGOING A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY
 CLASSIFICATION SHALL COMPLY WITH SECTION 912.
  
 3) 906.1 GENERAL. ACCESSIBILITY IN PORTIONS OF
 BUILDINGS UNDERGOING A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY
 CLASSIFICATION SHALL COMPLY WITH CHAPTER 11 OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING .
  
 4) 907.1 GRAVITY LOADS. BUILDINGS OR PORTIONS THEREOF
 SUBJECT TO A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY WHERE SUCH CHANGE IN
 THE NATURE OF OCCUPANCY RESULTS IN HIGHER UNIFORM OR
 CONCENTRATED LOADS BASED ON THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE,
 BUILDING TABLES 1607.1 AND 1607.6 (HIGH-VELOCITY
 HURRICANE ZONES SHALL COMPLY WITH TABLE 1615.2) SHALL
 COMPLY WITH THE GRAVITY LOAD PROVISIONS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING . FBC-B TABLE 1607.1 (28)
 RESIDENTIAL FLOORS ARE RATED FOR 30 PSF FOR BEDROOMS
 AND 40 PSF FOR HABITABLE AREAS WHERE AS FOR THE
 BUSINESS OCCUPANCY THE FLOOR LOADS WILL BE 50 PSF,
 PLEASE DEMONSTRATE CODE COMPLIANCE.
  
 5A) 908.2 UNSAFE CONDITIONS. WHERE THE OCCUPANCY OF AN
 EXISTING BUILDING OR PART OF AN EXISTING BUILDING IS
 CHANGED, ALL UNSAFE CONDITIONS SHALL BE CORRECTED
 WITHOUT REQUIRING THAT ALL PARTS OF THE ELECTRICAL
 SYSTEM BE BROUGHT UP TO THE CURRENT EDITION OF CHAPTER
 27 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING .
  
 5B) 908.3 SERVICE UPGRADE. WHERE THE OCCUPANCY OF AN
 EXISTING BUILDING OR PART OF AN EXISTING BUILDING IS
 CHANGED, THE ELECTRICAL SERVICE SHALL BE UPGRADED TO
 MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF CHAPTER 27 OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING , FOR THE NEW OCCUPANCY.
  
 6) 909.1 MECHANICAL REQUIREMENTS. WHERE THE OCCUPANCY
 OF AN EXISTING BUILDING OR PART OF AN EXISTING BUILDING
 IS CHANGED SUCH THAT THE NEW OCCUPANCY IS SUBJECT TO
 DIFFERENT KITCHEN EXHAUST REQUIREMENTS OR TO INCREASED
 MECHANICAL VENTILATION REQUIREMENTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, MECHANICAL , THE INTENT OF
 THE RESPECTIVE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, MECHANICAL
 PROVISIONS SHALL BE COMPLIED WITH FOR THE NEW
 OCCUPANCY.
  
 7) 910.1 INCREASED DEMAND. WHERE THE OCCUPANCY OF AN
 EXISTING BUILDING OR PART OF AN EXISTING BUILDING IS
 CHANGED SUCH THAT THE NEW OCCUPANCY IS SUBJECT TO
 INCREASED OR DIFFERENT PLUMBING FIXTURE REQUIREMENTS OR
 TO INCREASED WATER SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS IN ACCORDANCE
 WITH THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE PLUMBING , THE INTENT OF
 THE RESPECTIVE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, PLUMBING
 PROVISIONS SHALL BE COMPLIED WITH FOR THE NEW
 OCCUPANCY.
  
 8) SECTION 912, CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY: 912.4.2 MEANS OF
 EGRESS FOR CHANGE OF USE TO EQUAL OR LOWER HAZARD
 CATEGORY. WHEN A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION IS
 MADE TO AN EQUAL OR LESSER HAZARD CATEGORY (HIGHER
 NUMBER) AS SHOWN IN TABLE 912.4, EXISTING ELEMENTS OF
 THE MEANS OF EGRESS SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS
 OF SECTION 805 FOR THE NEW OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION.
 NEWLY CONSTRUCTED OR CONFIGURED MEANS OF EGRESS SHALL
 COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF CHAPTER 10 OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING .
  
 EXISTING BUILDING CODE 805.3 EXIT SIGNS. MEANS OF
 EGRESS FROM THE HIGHEST WORK AREA FLOOR TO THE FLOOR OF
 EXIT DISCHARGE SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH EXIT SIGNS IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING . PLEASE REVIEW 1006.1.6.2 &
 1006.2.3.4.
  
 9) 806.1 GENERAL. A BUILDING, FACILITY, OR ELEMENT THAT
 IS ALTERED SHALL COMPLY WITH CHAPTER 11 OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING .
 FBC-B 11-4.1.6 ACCESSIBLE BUILDINGS: ALTERATIONS.
  
 FBC-B 11-4.1.6(2) (2) ALTERATIONS TO AN AREA CONTAINING
 A PRIMARY FUNCTION. IN ADDITION TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF
 SECTION 11-4.1.6(1), AN ALTERATION THAT AFFECTS OR
 COULD AFFECT THE USABILITY OF OR ACCESS TO AN AREA
 CONTAINING A PRIMARY FUNCTION SHALL BE MADE SO AS TO
 ENSURE THAT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT FEASIBLE, THE PATH
 OF TRAVEL TO THE ALTERED AREA AND THE RESTROOMS,
 TELEPHONES, AND DRINKING FOUNTAINS SERVING THE ALTERED
 AREA, ARE READILY ACCESSIBLE TO AND USABLE BY
 INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES, UNLESS SUCH ALTERATIONS
 ARE DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE OVERALL ALTERATIONS TIN
 TERMS OF COST AND SCOPE.
  
 ALTERATIONS MADE TO PROVIDE AN ACCESSIBLE PATH OF
 TRAVEL TO ALTERED AREAS SHALL BE DEEMED
 DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE OVERALL ALTERATION WHEN THE
 COST EXCEEDS 20 PERCENT OF THE COST OF THE ALTERATION
 TO THE PRIMARY FUNCTION AREA.
  
 DUTY TO PROVIDE ACCESSIBLE FEATURES IN THE EVENT OF
 DISPROPORTIONALITY.
  
 (1) WHEN THE COST OF ALTERATIONS NECESSARY TO MAKE THE
 PATH OF TRAVEL TO THE ALTERED AREA FULLY ACCESSIBLE IS
 DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE COST OF THE OVERALL ALTERATION,
 THE PATH OF TRAVEL SHALL BE MADE ACCESSIBLE TO THE
 EXTENT THAT IT CAN BE MADE ACCESSIBLE WITHOUT INCURRING
 DISPROPORTIONATE COSTS.
  
 (2)(A) IN CHOOSING WHICH ACCESSIBLE ELEMENTS TO
 PROVIDE, PRIORITY SHOULD BE GIVEN TO THOSE ELEMENTS
 THAT WILL PROVIDE THE GREATEST ACCESS, IN THE FOLLOWING
 ORDER:
  
 (I) AN ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE; RAMP/ HANDRAILS
  
 (II) AN ACCESSIBLE ROUTE TO THE ALTERED AREA:
  
 (III) AT LEAST ONE ACCESSIBLE RESTROOM FOR EACH SEX OR
 A SINGLE UNISEX RESTROOM:
  
 (IV) ACCESSIBLE TELEPHONES;
  
 (V) ACCESSIBLE DRINKING FOUNTAINS; AND
  
 (VI) WHEN POSSIBLE, ADDITIONAL ACCESSIBLE ELEMENTS SUCH
 AS PARKING, STORAGE, AND ALARMS.
  
 (B) SERIES OF SMALLER ALTERATIONS.
  
 (I) THE OBLIGATION TO PROVIDE AN ACCESSIBLE PATH OF
 TRAVEL MAY NOT BE EVADED BY PERFORMING A SERIES OF
 SMALL ALTERATIONS TO THE AREA SERVED BY A SINGLE PATH
 OF TRAVEL IF THOSE ALTERATIONS COULD HAVE BEEN
 PERFORMED AS A SINGLE UNDERTAKING.
  
 (II) IF AN AREA CONTAINING A PRIMARY FUNCTION HAS BEEN
 ALTERED WITHOUT PROVIDING AN ACCESSIBLE PATH OF TRAVEL
 TO THAT AREA, AND SUBSEQUENT ALTERATIONS OF THAT AREA,
 OR A DIFFERENT AREA ON THE SAME PATH OF TRAVEL, ARE
 UNDERTAKEN WITHIN THREE YEARS OF THE ORIGINAL
 ALTERATION, THE TOTAL COST OF ALTERATIONS TO THE
 PRIMARY FUNCTION AREAS ON THAT PATH OF TRAVEL DURING
 THE PRECEDING THREE-YEAR PERIOD SHALL BE CONSIDERED IN
 DETERMINING WHETHER THE COST OF MAKING THAT PATH OF
 TRAVEL ACCESSIBLE IS DISPROPORTIONATE.
  
 (III) ONLY ALTERATIONS UNDERTAKEN AFTER JANUARY 26,
 1992, SHALL BE CONSIDERED IN DETERMINING IF THE COST OF
 PROVIDING AN ACCESSIBLE PATH OF TRAVEL IS
 DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE OVERALL COST OF THE
 ALTERATIONS.
  
 10) PLEASE BE ADVISED A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY REQUIRES
 REVIEW BY PALM BEACH COUNTY IMPACT FEE OFFICE, THEIR
 OFFICE HAS CONFIRMED THAT FEES WERE PAID UNDER THE PCN
