 1) LS-1 MINIMUM OCCUPANT LOAD INDICATES THTTE 2004 FBC,
 PLEASE UPDATE CODES TO THE 2007 FBC WITH 2009
 SUPPLEMENTS.
  
 2) PLANS ALSO SHOULD BE DESIGNED TO THE 2007 EXISTING
 BUILDING CODE WITH 2009 SUPPLEMENTS. FBC EXISTING
 BUILDING CODE- 401.4 A DESIGN PROFESSIONAL OR AN OWNER
 MUST ELECT ONE OR A COMBINATION OF LEVELS OF ALTERATION
 PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 403, 404 AND 405 OF THIS CODE.
  
 3) SHEET LS-1 & 301, DOORWAY 150 EXISTING FRONT ENTRY,
 THE PLANS INDICATE AS EXISTING, PLEASE REVIEW SECTION
 11-4.8.4 (4) IF A DOORWAY IS LOCATED AT A LANDING, THEN
 THE AREA IN FRONT OF THE DOORWAY SHALL COMPLY WITH
 SECTION 11-4.13.6.
  
 1-4.13.6 MANEUVERING CLEARANCES AT DOORS. MINIMUM
 MANEUVERING CLEARANCES AT DOORS THAT ARE NOT AUTOMATIC
 OR POWER-ASSISTED SHALL BE AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 25. THE
 FLOOR OR GROUND AREA WITHIN THE REQUIRED CLEARANCES
 SHALL BE LEVEL AND CLEAR.
  
 PLEASE REVIEW FIGURE 25(C) THERE ARE TWO ISSUES :
 3.1 THE FIGURE INDICATES FOR A SIDE APPROACH FROM THE
 LEADING EDGE OF THE DOOR TO THE BEGINNING OF THE RAMP
 24 INCHES IS REQUIRED NOT THE 1'-6" INDICATED ON THE
 PLANS.
  
 3.2 PLEASE INDICATE IF THE EXISTING DOOR #150 HAS OR IS
 GOING TO HAVE A DOOR CLOSER INSTALLED IF SO PLEASE SEE
 NOTE AT THE BOTTOM OF FIGURE 25 (C) Y= 54 INCHES IF THE
 DOOR HA A CLOSER.
  
 4) PLANS ARE CORRECT IN NOT REQUIRING A HANDRAIL IF THE
 HEIGHT IS 6" OR LESS AND THE RUN IS 72 INCHES OR LESS.
 WHAT THE PLANS DO NOT PROVIDE IS EDGE PROTECTION.
 11-4.8.7 EDGE PROTECTION. RAMPS AND LANDINGS WITH
 DROP-OFFS SHALL HAVE CURBS, WALLS, RAILINGS, OR
 PROJECTING SURFACES THAT PREVENT PEOPLE FROM SLIPPING
 OFF THE RAMP. CURBS SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 2 INCHES (50
 MM) HIGH (SEE FIGURE 17). WITH THE DOORWAY A DISSABLED
 PERSON IN A WHEEL CHAIR WOULD HAVE THE POSSIBILITY OF
 BACKING UP AND ROLLING OVER THE EDGE. THE OTHER ISSUE
 WITH THIS DESIGN IS THE EXISTING WALKWAY TO THE EAST,
 IF A PERSON WERE TO USE THIS WALKWAY THE REQUIRED EDGE
 PROTECTION REQUIRED BY 11-4.8.7 WILL CREATE A TRIPPING
 HAZARD, IT APPEARS MORE THOUGHT MAY BE REQUIRED FOR
 THIS AREA. NOTE THE SIDEWALK IS ALSO ONLY 2'-0" WIDE.
  
 5) SHEET 301 THE ACCESSIBLIE RAMP WILL HAVE NEW ISSUES
 SINCE IT WILL BE MOVED 6" CLOSER TO THE PROPERTY LINE
 TO ACCOMADATE THE 24 INCHES FROM THE DOOR TO THE EDGE
 OF THE RAMP AT THE UPPER LANDING. PLANS FAIL TO
 INDICATE THE LOCATION OF THE BOTTOM LANDING SECTION
 11-4.8.4(2) REQUIRES THE BOTTOM LANDING TO BE 72", THIS
 IS NOT SHOWN ON THE PLAN.
  
  
 NOR IS A HANDICAPPED
 PARKING SPACE? PLEASE REVIEW 11-4.1.6(2)(2)(A) DUTY TO
 PROVIDE ACCESSIBLE FEATURES IN THE EVENT OF
 DISPROPORTIONALITY.
  
 6) SHEET 301 DETAIL # 4 THE BREAKROOM 107 CABINET
 DETAIL AT THE SINK PLANS DO INDICATE A SINK HEIGHT OF
 2'-10" BUT THE PLANS ALSO INDICATE THE USE OF SHELVING
 UNDER THE SINK BEHIND CLOSED DOORS. SECTION 11-4.24.5
 CLEAR FLOOR SPACE. A CLEAR FLOOR SPACE AT LEAST 30
 INCHES BY 48 INCHES (760 MM BY 1219 MM) COMPLYING WITH
 SECTION 11-4.2.4 SHALL BE PROVIDED IN FRONT OF A SINK
 TO ALLOW FORWARD APPROACH. THE CLEAR FLOOR SPACE SHALL
 BE ON AN ACCESSIBLE ROUTE AND SHALL EXTEND A MAXIMUM OF
 19 INCHES (485 MM) UNDERNEATH THE SINK (SEE FIGURE 32).
 REQUIRES BOTH THE DOORS AND SHELVING BENEATH THE SINK
 BE REMOVED FOR A FORWARD APPROACH.
  
 1-4.24.6 EXPOSED PIPES AND SURFACES. HOT WATER AND
 DRAIN PIPES EXPOSED UNDER SINKS SHALL BE INSULATED OR
 OTHERWISE CONFIGURED SO AS TO PROTECT AGAINST CONTACT.
 THERE SHALL BE NO SHARP OR ABRASIVE SURFACES UNDER
 SINKS.
  
 STARTING AUGUST 21, 2009, THE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
 DEPARTMENT WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAYS UNTIL FURTHER
 NOTICE.
