 2. NOTHING IS SHOWN IN THE CORNERS FOR STRUCTURAL
 SUPPORT, ONLY WHAT APPEARS TO BE A BLOCK WALL. SOME
 WOOD POSTS AND SOME PROVIDE CALCULATIONS TO SHOW THAT
 THIS PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION WILL RESIST WIND AND OTHER
 FORCES FBC R301. AS THERE ARE NO COLUMNS IN THE CORNERS
 IT APPEARS THAT THE CONERS ARE CANTALEVERED FROM THE
 NEAREST COLUMN, BUT NO DIMENSION SHOWN BETWEEN NEW
 FILLED CELLS AND CORNERS.
  
 3. SHEET 1, WALL LEGEND, GRAPHIC IS THE SAME FOR BOTH
 WALL TYPES. SCOPE NOT CLEAR FBC R301, FBC*106.
  
 4. SHEET 1, TOP LEFT CORNER STATES THIS IS DESIGNED
 UNDER FBC2004 AND 140MPH EXPOSURE B. PLEASE REVISE
 BUILDING CODE AND EXPLAIN RATIONALE FOR EXPOSURE B OR
 REVISE TO EXPOSURE C, SEE FBC R301. NOTE THAT THE CODE
 CHANGED EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, 2009.
  
 5. PLEASE SHOW HOW THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION WILL BE
 STRUCTURALLY CONTINUOUS WITH THE EXISTING. STRAPS ARE
 SHOWN, BUT NO REINFORCEMENT INTO FOOTING OR WOOD POSTS.
 ON THE PLAN IT APPEARS THAT ONE WALL WAS "EXISTING CMU"
 BASED ON GRAPHICS, THEN HOW DID THIS TIE INTO THE WOOD
 FRAME PORTION? EXISTING CONDITIONS AND PROPOSED NEW IS
 NOT CLEAR.
  
 6. PLANS SHOW FILLED CELLS WITH NO STEEL REINFORCEMENT,
 BLOCK SITS ON A SLAB, WHAT WILL PREVENT MOVEMENT AT THE
 BOTTOM OF THE WALL? SEE FBC R 606.1, MASONRY
 CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ACI 530.
  
 7. PLAN SHOWS SIMPSON STRAPS, PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVALS
 FAC9B72. ALSO PROVIDE INFORMATION FROM THE MANUFACTURER
 TO SHOW THAT THE INTEGRITY OF STRAPS WILL BE MAINTAINED
 INSTALLED IN THIS MANNER (OVER STUCCO, EXPOSED TO THE
 WEATHER.
  
 8. INSTALLATION LOCATIONS FOR THE STRAPS IS NOT CLEAR.
 ARE THEY TO BE INSTALLED IN HOLLOW BLOCK? PROVIDE
 CALCULATIONS - PROVIDE LOAD INFORMATION AND
 CALCULATIONS TO SHOW THAT THE PROPOSED STRAPS INSTALLED
 IN THIS MANNER WILL BE ADEQUATE TO RESIST WIND LOADS.
  
 9. THE STRAP SPECIFIED IS NOT RATED FOR LATERAL LOADS.
 HOW HAS THIS BEEN ADDRESSED?
  
 9. FOUNDATION DESIGN IS NOT CLEAR. NOTHING ON THE
 DETAIL TYPICAL WALL SECTION INDICATES HOW THIS WILL BE
 CONSTRUCTED OR HOW THE EXISTING WILL BE STRUCTURALLY
 CONTINUOUS WITH THE PROPOSED NEW. IT IS DRAWN AS IF IT
 IS POURED AT ONE TIME, BUT TEXT INDICATES THAT A
 PORTION IS EXISTING AND A PORTION IS PROPOSED NEW.
  
 10. FROM PREVIOUS LIST: FOR THE SHUTTERS, PLEASE
 COMPLETE THE SAMPLE INSTALLATION SCHEDULE OR PROVIDE
 ALL INFORMATION TO SHOW CODE COMPLIANCE IN ANOTHER
 FORMAT, FBC*106, FBC R301, FBC1609. TWO SETS REQUIRED.

 HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? PROVIDE A DETAIL, INCLUDING
 ATTACHMENTS FOR EXISTING TO NEW.
  
 12. SEE ACI530, A BLOCK WALL HAS A POURED AND
 REINFORCED TOP CAP TO MAINTAIN THE WALL'S INTEGRITY.
 NONE IS SHOWN ON THIS PLAN. HOW WILL YOU PREVENT
 FAILURE OF THE PORTIONS OF THE MASONRY WALL WHICH ARE
 NOT STRAPPED TO THE WOOD BEAM? NOTHING TIES THE WALL
 TOGETHER TO ACT AS ONE UNIT, NOT CLEAR HOW THIS WILL
