 FILED FOR PUBLIC RECORD SHALL HAVE THE SIGNATURE AND
 SEAL OF THE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL AFFIXED TO THE
 DOCUMENT. FL ADMIN CODE 61G15-23.002 ENGINEERS
 ROOF TOP MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT: 301.13 FBC MECHANICAL.
 WIND RESISTANCE. MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT, APPLIANCES AND
 SUPPORTS THAT ARE EXPOSED TO WIND SHALL BE DESIGNED AND
 INSTALLED TO RESIST WIND PRESSURES ON THE EQUIPMENT AND
 THE SUPPORTS AS DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING. NOTE THIS DOES NOT
 ONLY MEAN THE ATTACHMENT OF THE UNIT TO THE BASE
 SUPPORT BUT THE EXTERIOR CABINET OF THE UNIT ITSELF.
 ENGINEERING LETTERS WILL SUFFICE.
  
 3) BUILDING APPROVED WITH EXCEPTION!
 THIS PLAN HAS BEEN APPROVED PROVISIONALLY. FAILURE TO
 CORRECT THE LISTED DEFICIENCIES IN THIS PLAN PRIOR TO
 INSPECTION WILL RESULT IN FAILED INSPECTION(S) AND THE
 ASSESSMENT OF RE-INSPECTION FEE(S).
 PLEASE NOTE THE ROOFING PERMIT WILL BE A SEPARATE
 PERMIT AND WILL NEED TO INCLUDE THE PRODUCT APPROVAL,
 INDICATE WHICH SUB-SYSTEM TO BE INSTALLED ON THIS
 PROJECT. IF A MIAMI-DADE NOA IS SUBMITTED IT MAY HAVE
 VARIOUS OPTIONS FOR FASTENING OF THE ROOFING PRODUCT
 AND INSULATION WITHIN EACH SUB-SYSTEM.
 EACH OPTION WILL HAVE IT OWN DESIGN PRESSURES. THE
 PRODUCT APPROVAL WILL ALSO STATE IF EACH SYSTEM CAN
 HAVE ENHANCED FASTENING (LIMITATION 7) OR LIMITATION 9
 WHICH DOES NOT ALLOW FOR ENHANCED FASTENING.
  
 4) 2ND REQUEST, BUILDING APPROVED WITH EXCEPTION!
 THIS PLAN HAS BEEN APPROVED PROVISIONALLY. FAILURE TO
 CORRECT THE LISTED DEFICIENCIES IN THIS PLAN PRIOR TO
 INSPECTION WILL RESULT IN FAILED INSPECTION(S) AND THE
 ASSESSMENT OF RE-INSPECTION FEE(S).
 THE ISSUE YOU WILL NEED TO ADDRESS IS ROOF INSULATION,
 A MINIMUM R-VALUE OF R-29.5 NEW R-VALUE, NEW ENERGY
 CALCS WILL NEED TO BE OBTAINED ( ENERGY CALCULATION) .
 UNDER THE ROOFING PERMIT PLEASE PROVIDE A ROOF
 INSULATION PLAN.
  
 5) SHEET S3.0 ROOF PLAN ONLY INDICATES PRESSURES FOR
 THE INTERIOR ZONES (ZONE 1) AND CORNER ZONES (ZONE 2)
 BUT NO ZONE 3 PRESSURES FOR THE CORNER ZONES.
 ITS TRUE THE BACK OF THE BUILDING DOES HAVE A 4'-0''
 PARAPET ELIMINATING THESE ZONES BUT THE
 FRONT OF THE BUILDING DOES NOT HAVE A 3'-0'' PARAPET
 WHICH WOULD ELIMINATE ZONE 3 PRESSURES WILL BE AS HIGH
 AS -89 FOR AN "B" EXPOSURE.
  
 6) SHEET A5.1 DETAIL F & A5.2 DETAIL J & I ARE ALL WALL
 SECTION AT THE TOWER , IN ALL CASES THERE IS AN
 EXPANSION JOINT/ COLD JOINT WHICH ALLOWS WATER TO SEEP
 INTO THE FRAMED WALL, ALLOWING THE WOOD TO ROT. THE
 OTHER ISSUE AS STATED EARLIER THE REQUIREMENT UNDER
 2603.8.1 TO ALLOW FOR A VISUAL INSPECTION FOR TERMITES,
 WE NORMALLY SEE THIS AREA POURED IN CONCRETE 8 INCHES
 HIGHER THAN THE SLAB SO THERE IS NO COLD JOINT AND THE
 STUCCO FINISH IS APPLIED DIRECTLY TO THE CONCRETE AS IF
 A MASONRY WALL. PLANS STILL INDICATE 8??? BLOCK WITH
 THE NEW POURED WALL SECTION, THERE IS STILL A VERTICAL
 COLD JOINT. THE OTHER ISSUE IS STEM WALL STARTS WITH A
 12 INCH WIDE BLOCK THEN STEPS BACK TO 8 INCH WHICH ALSO
 ALLOWS THE TERMITES TO CREATE TUNNELS UP THE BLOCK WORK
 AND GAIN ENTRY INTO THE BUILDING.
 2304.11.2.4 SLEEPERS AND SILLS. SLEEPERS AND SILLS ON A
 CONCRETE OR MASONRY SLAB THAT IS IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH
 EARTH SHALL BE OF NATURALLY DURABLE OR
 PRESERVATIVE-TREATED WOOD.
  
 2304.11.2.6 WOOD SIDING. CLEARANCE BETWEEN WOOD SIDING
 AND EARTH ON THE EXTERIOR OF A BUILDING SHALL NOT BE
 LESS THAN 6 INCHES (152 MM) EXCEPT WHERE SIDING,
 SHEATHING AND WALL FRAMING ARE OF NATURALLY DURABLE OR
 PRESERVATIVE-TREATED WOOD.
  
 STARTING AUGUST 21, 2009, THE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
 DEPARTMENT WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAYS UNTIL FURTHER
 NOTICE.
