 CODE IS CLAIMED, THE BUILDING OFFICIAL SHALL REQUIRE
 THAT THE NECESSARY INVESTIGATION BE MADE. SUCH
 INVESTIGATION SHALL COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF
 SECTIONS 1802.4 THROUGH 1802.6 .

 106.3.3 PRODUCT APPROVALS. THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE
 REGULATED BY THE DCA RULE 9B-72 SHALL BE REVIEWED AND
 APPROVED IN WRITTING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD PRIOR TO
 SUBMITTAL FOR JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL.
  
 8) ROOF TOP MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT: 301.13 FBC
 MECHANICAL. WIND RESISTANCE. MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT,
 APPLIANCES AND SUPPORTS THAT ARE EXPOSED TO WIND SHALL
 BE DESIGNED AND INSTALLED TO RESIST WIND PRESSURES ON
 THE EQUIPMENT AND THE SUPPORTS AS DETERMINED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
 NOTE THIS DOES NOT ONLY MEAN TTHE ATTACHMENT OF THE
 UNIT TO THE BASE SUPPORT BUT THE EXTERIOR CABINET OF
 THE UNIT ITSELF. ENGINEERING LETTERS WILL SUFFICE.
  
 9A) PLEASE NOTE THE ROOFING PERMIT WILL BE A SEPERATE
 PERMIT AND WILL NEED TO INCLUDE THE PRODUCT APPROVAL,
 INDICATE WHICH SUB-SYSTEM TO BE INSTALLED ON THEIS
 PROJECT. IF A MIAMI-DADE NOA IS SUBMITTED IT MAY HAVE
 VARIOUS OPTIONS FOR FASTENING OF THE ROOFING PRODUCT
 AND INSULATION WITHIN EACH SUB-SYSTEM.
 EACH OPTION WILL HAVE IT OWN DESIGN PRESSURES. THE
 PRODUCT APPROVAL WILL ALSO STATE IF EACH SYSTEM CAN
 HAVE ENHANCED FASTENING (LIMITATION 7) OR LIMITATION 9
 WHICH DOES NOT ALLOW FOR ENHANCED FASTENING.
  
 9B) THE OTHER ISSUE YOU WILL NEED TO ADDRESS IS ROOF
 INSULATION, A MINIMUM R-VALUE OF R-22.3 WILL NEED TO BE
 OBTAINED ( ENERGY CALCULATION) . UNDER THE ROOFING
 PERMIT PLEASE PROVIDE A ROOF INSULATION PLAN.
  
 10) PLEASE ADDRESS THE ENERGY CALCULATIONS INPUT DATA
 REPORT INDICATES THE ROOF ASSEMBLY AS A WOOD DECK/
 TRUSSES AND A R-19 INSULATION. SEE CHAPTER 13 APPENDIX
 B TABLE B-19.
  
 11) ENERGY CALCULATION INPUT DATA REPORT- FLOORS-
 PLEASE REVIEW ALLOWABLE R-VALUES FOR FLOORING THE INPUT
 DATA REPORT INDICATES THEY ARE TAKING CREDIT FOR CARPET
 AND PADDING WHERE AS A7.0 INDICATES TILE FLOORS. PLEASE
 REVIEW CHAPTER 13 APPENDIX B SECTION B2.5.2 .1 MASS
 FLOORS AND R-VALUES.
