 ** A PROVISO IS BEING GIVEN AFTER CALL WAS MADE TO
 ENGINEERING FIRM. THE DESIGNER AND ENGINEER OF RECORD
 WERE NOT AVAILABLE. HOWEVER ANOTHER DESIGNER FROM THE
 FIRM KNOWN TO THIS REVIEWER WAS AVAILABLE TO GO OVER
 COMMENTS. A REQUEST THAT A PROVISO WAS GRANTED AND
 PLANS TO BE REDLINED WAS GONE OVER. A CALL WAS PLACED
 TO GC TO LET THEM KNOW THE OUTCOME OF REVIEW AND PHONE
 CALL.
  
 1) NOTE: THE PREVIOUS COMMENT FROM MR. WILLIAM TROBAUGH
 WAS NOT ADDRESSED. THE COMMENT MADE WAS THAT THE USE OF
 METHOD *A* WAS NOT PERMITTED.
 THE RESPONSE LETTER FROM DESIGN TEAM STATES THIS IS AN
 *ADDITION* TO AN EXISTING BUILDING. SUPPORTING
 DOCUMENTATION WAS SUBMITTED WITH COPIES OF SEVERAL
 SECTIONS OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE.
  
 THE INPUT DATA REPORT IS NOT COMPLETE FOR THIS BEING AN
 ADDITION.
  
 THE CONFUSION COMES WHEN THE RESPONSE LETTER FROM
 DESIGN TEAM CLEARLY STATES METHOD *B* CAN NOT BE USED
 BASED ON THIS BEING AN ADDITION. HOWEVER THE LIGHTING
 PLANS SUBMITTED CLEARLY INDICATE METHOD *B*. IN FACT
 THE PLANS STATE COMPLIANCE FOR SPACE BY SPACE PER
 13-415.B.1. THIS IS IN CONFLICT WITH THE RESPONSE
 LETTER AND SUBMITTED SUPPORTING FLA COM METHOD *A*.
 PLEASE SEE 13-415.AB.5 OF THE FBC. THIS SECTION CLEARLY
 STATES THE FOLLOWING.
  
 ** TRADE-OFFS OF INTERIOR LIGHTING POWER ALLOWANCE
 AMONG PORTIONS OF THE BUILDING FOR WHICH A DIFFERENT
 METHOD OF CALCULATION HAS BEEN USED IS NOT PERMITTED*.
  
 THIS MEANS IT IS NOT PERMISSIBLE TO USE TWO DIFFERENT
 METHODS TO SHOW COMPLIANCE. THE SUBMITTED INPUT DATA
 REPORT OF THE METHOD *A* IN BOTH CASES IS NOT COMPLETE.
 SOME INFORMATION ON THE IDR IS NOT WHAT IS SHOWN/STATED
 ON PLANS AND/OR INCOMPLETE FOR WHOLE BUILDING/ WHOLE
 ADDITION COMPLIANCE.
  
 ** THEREFORE COMPLIANCE FOR METHOD B AS SHOWN ON PLANS
 FOR PRESCRIPTIVE FOR NEW BEING INSTALLED IS ACCEPTABLE.
 13-415.AB.5, 13-415.B.1, 13-400.0.B.4. "LAST SENTENCE
 FOR * BUILDINGS NOT MEETING THE DEFINITION OF A
 RENOVATION.
  
 2) NOTE: COMPLIANCE FOR NEW LIGHTING CONTROLS BEING
 INSTALLED SHALL MEET 13-415.AB.1.1,.1.2. THE PREVIOUS
 REVIEW DOES NOT HAVE ANY COMMENTS RELEVANT TO THESE
 SECTIONS. THIS IS A BUILDING LARGER THAN 5K SQ FT. BY
 DEFINITION IT IS NOT WHETHER OR NOT A TENANT SPACE IS
 OVER 5K SQ FT.
 AUTOMATED CONTROLS OF SOME KIND ARE REQUIRED. THERE ARE
 SEVERAL WAYS TO COMPLY FOR MINIMUM CODE COMPLIANCE.
 PLEASE CHOSE ONE OR MORE AND REVISE PLANS.
