 WHEELER'S QUESTIONS WITH THE FOLLOWING E-MAIL RESPONSE
 (AS TO WHY A MERGER OF PARCELS IS BENEFICIAL):
  
 ALL "BUILDINGS" CROSSING A LEGAL PROPERTY LINE WOULD BE
 REQUIRED TO HAVE A FOUR HOUR "FIRE WALL" SEPARATING THE
 STRUCTURES INTO TWO LEGAL BUILDINGS BY DEFINITION IN
 THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE. THIS WOULD ALSO REQUIRE A
 SEPARATION OF ALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS AND POSSIBLY OTHER
 SYSTEMS WHICH MAY BE AFFECTED.
 THIS IS A PARKING GARAGE IN WHICH VEHICLES AND
 PEDESTRIANS TRAVERSE FROM ONE END TO ANOTHER AND THERE
 ARE NO SEPARATIONS AS LISTED ABOVE. BASED ON THE
 INFORMATION JOINING THE TWO WOULD BE THE MOST EFFECTIVE
 AND EFFICIENT WAY TO RESOLVE THIS. THE ALTERNATIVE OF
 CREATING TWO BUILDINGS MEETING THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE FOR LIFE SAFETY AND FIRE SEPARATION WOULD BE
 EXTENSIVE.
  
 AS TO THE FEES: THE PERMIT FEES FOR THE APPLIED SCOPE
 OF WORK IS THE SAME FOR THESE PROJECTS. THE FEES ARE
 BASED ON THE TOTAL VALUE OF THE PROJECTS BEING APPLIED
 FOR AND NOT WHETHER OR NOT THERE ARE MORE THAN ONE
 PERMIT APPLICATIONS. IN SHORT IT WOULD NOT COST MORE OR
 COST LESS TO THE CONTRACTOR OR THE PALM BEACH COUNTY IN
 FEES FOR THESE PROJECTS.
 THE ALTERNATIVE OF CREATING TWO BUILDINGS MEETING THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE AND OTHER APPLICABLE CODES FOR
 LIFE SAFETY AND FIRE SEPARATION WOULD BE EXTENSIVE. I

 BACK TO ME STATING, "WE COULD COMBINE THESE PROPERTIES
 IF THE COUNTY, PREM REQUESTED. WE WOULD NOT COMBINE
 THESE WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT." SUBSEQUENTLY, I EXCHANGED
 ADDITIONAL E-MAILS WITH OTHER PBC STAFF, DAVID KUZMENKO
 & BARBARA WHEELER (TO TRY TO GET IN TOUCH WITH RIGHT
 PERSON TO INITIATE THIS CHANGE). SUPPOSEDLY, BARBARA
 WOULD LOOK INTO RELAYING MY REQUEST TO ROSS HERING, THE
 DIRECTOR OF THE PROPERTY & REAL ESTATE MANAGEMENT
 DIVISION, WHO WILL ASSIGN IT TO A STAFF MEMBER. I
 RECEIVED A CALL FROM BARBARA & I FELT THAT HER
 INQUIRIES WERE BETTER SUITED TO BE ANSWERED BY
 PERSONNEL IN CONSTRUCTION SERVICES (SO I E-MAILED DEWEY
 & ADRIANNA). BARBARA'S QUESTIONS WERE:

 THERE ANY OTHER REASON(S) WHY WE ARE SUGGESTING THAT

 PERMITS (DEPENDING IF THEY'RE GOING TO MERGE TWO OR
 THREE PARCELS)? ALSO IN REGARDS TO THE STATUS, WOULD
 THEY HAVE TO "REAPPLY" FOR ANOTHER PERMIT(S) & PAY
