 REVIEW UNDER 2007 FLORIDA BUILDING/RESIDENTIAL CODE AND
 CITY AMENDMENTS TO FBC.
  
 1- PERMIT #07010830 REFERENCED ON THE PERMIT
 APPLICATION WAS NEVER ISSUED. THAT PERMIT WAS REVIEWED
 UNDER 2004 FBC. NEW PERMIT APPLICATION IS TO BE
 REVIEWED UNDER CURRENT 2007 FBC. ENGINEER NEEDS TO
 UPDATE PLANS USING THE 2007 FBC AND 2007 FLORIDA
 RESIDENTIAL CODE.
  
 2- PROVIDE 2 COPIES OF SIGNED AND SEALED PLANS. ONLY
 ONE WAS SUBMITTED. SEC. 106.1 CITY AMENDMENTS TO FBC.
  
 3- ENGINEER TO CITE ASCE 7-05 ON DESIGN CONSIDERATION
 FOR WIND LOAD. THIS IS THE EDITION ADOPTED ON 2007
 FLORIDA RESIDENTIAL/BUILDING CODE.
  
 4- PLANS SHOW ENCLOSING EXISTING CARPORT TO CONVERT TO
 GARAGE. THERE IS AN EXISTING WINDOW THAT NEEDS TO
 COMPLY WITH THE OPENING PROTECTION REQUIREMENTS OF SEC.
 R309.1 OF 2007 FLORIDA RESIDENTIAL CODE. REVISE PLANS
 AS REQUIRED.
  
 5- PROVIDE FRAMING DETAILS FOR NEW DOOR OPENING AND NEW
 GARAGE DOOR OPENING TO MATCH ACTUAL CONDITIONS SHOWN ON
 FLOOR PLAN. TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION EXISTING STEEL
 COLUMNS. SPECIFY ALL FASTENERS TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE
 WITH THE DESIGN PRESSURES OF SEC. R301.1 OF 2007
 FLORIDA RESIDENTIAL CODE. CLARIFY HOW IS THE SOLE PLATE
 SHOWN ON DOOR OPENING FRAMING ATTACHED TO THE CONCRETE
 SLAB IF THERE IS NOT ROOM TO HAVE IT ATTACHED AT EVERY
 16"O.C. . SEE FLOOR PLAN. ALSO, PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAIL
 SHOWING STRUCTURAL JAMB TO RECEIVE THE NEW GARAGE DOOR
 AS REQUIRED BY GARAGE DOOR PRODUCT APPROVAL. CLARIFY
 HOW IS THE DOOR FRAME ATTACHED TO THE CONCRETE SLAB.
 CLARIFY IF CONCRETE SLAB BY NEW GARAGE DOOR IS GOING TO
 BE REINFORCED AS SHOWN ON GARAGE DOOR OPENING DETAIL.
  
 6- GARAGE DOOR STRUCTURAL JAMB DETAIL 1 DOESN'T MATCH
 WOOD JAMB DETAIL ON DRAWING #2 (GARAGE DOOR DETAIL) AND
 ACTUAL CONDITIONS SHOWN ON FLOOR PLAN.
 NOTE: TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THE STEEL COLUMN AND
 CONDITION ON THE OTHER END OF THE JAMB WHERE IT IS TOO
 CLOSE TO THE EXISTING CLOSET/STORAGE SPACE. THERE MAY
 BE NO ENOUGH ROOM FOR GARAGE DOOR BUCK AND OPERATION OF
 GARAGE DOOR.
  
 7- DETAIL #4 (DETAIL 2):
 A) CLARIFY WHAT'S THE NEW HORIZONTAL MEMBER FOR?.
 SPECIFY ALL FASTENERS TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH THE
 DESIGN LOADS OF SEC. R301 OF 2007 FLORIDA RESIDENTIAL
 CODE.
  
 B) REVISE CONNECTOR H2.5 SPECIFIED. SEE PRODUCT
 APPROVAL FOR CORRECT TYPE AND SIZE OF NAIL TO USE AND
 CORRESPONDING UPLIFT CAPACITY. ALSO, SEE CONNECTOR
 INFORMATION THAT WAS COPIED FROM THE MANUFACTURER'S
 CATALOG. SEE COMMENTS ON PLANS.
  
 8- PROVIDE 2 COPIES OF PRODUCT APPROVALS AS REQUIRED BY
 DCA RULE 9B-72 FOR:
 A) INSWING ENTRY DOOR AS SHOWN ON FLOOR PLAN. NOA
 02-1211.10 SUBMITTED EXPIRED ON JULY 17, 2008 AND THIS
 PRODUCT APPROVAL IS FOR OUTSWING DOOR. NEED CURRENT NOA
 AND PRODUCT APPROVAL FOR INSWING DOOR.
 NOTE: IF DOOR HAS GLASS, THEN HURRICANE IMPACT
 PROTECTION IS REQUIRED. SPECIFY HOW IS THE GLASS GOING
 TO BE PROTECTED. PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL FOR STORM
 SHUTTERS IF USING THEM. OTHERWISE PROVIDE PRODUCT
 APPROVAL FOR DOOR WITH IMPACT GLASS.
  
 B) GARAGE DOOR. NOA 03-0430.04 SUBMITTED EXPIRED ON
 AUGUST 21, 2008. NEED TO PROVIDE CURRENT NOA.
  
 9- ENGINEER OF RECORD TO REVIEW AND APPROVE IN WRITING
 (NOT SIGNING AND SEALING) ALL PRODUCT APPROVALS AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 106.3.3 CITY AMENDMENTS TO FBC.
  
 10- PLEASE RETURN REVIEWED PLANS AFTER CORRECTIONS ARE
 DONE TO THE ORIGINAL DRAWINGS TO EXPEDITE THE REVIEW
 PROCESS.
