 REQUIRED BY SECTIONS 603.3.1 & 603.3.2.
 603.3.1 COMPARTMENTATION. SEE SECTION 407 OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
 603.3.2 FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING. THE SMOKE BARRIERS
 SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FLORIDA

 OCCUPIED FOR PATIENT SLEEPING UNITS, TREATMENT ROOMS,
 HAZARDOUS OR INCIDENTIAL USE AREAS AS DEFINED IN
 SECTION 302.1.1. THIS AREA CLEALY IS IN DIRECT CONTACT
 WITH SLEEPING UNITS, MECANICAL ROOMS, JANITORS CLOSETS
 AND LINEN ROOMS. PLEASE REVIEW SECTIONS FROM THE CODE
 COMMENTARY AND FIGURE 407.2.1.
  
 3B) THE SECOND CRITERIA IS AUTOMATIC FIRE DETECTION
 SYSTEM INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIOIN 907. THIS
 BUILDING IS A HIGHRISE AND WILL NEED TO MEET THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF 907.2.12..2.
 907.2.12.2 EMERGENCY VOICE/ALARM COMMUNICATION SYSTEM.
 THE OPERATION OF ANY AUTOMATIC FIRE DETECTOR, SPRINKLER
 WATER-FLOW DEVICE OR MANUAL FIRE ALARM BOX SHALL
 AUTOMATICALLY SOUND AN ALERT TONE FOLLOWED BY VOICE
 INSTRUCTIONS GIVING APPROVED INFORMATION AND DIRECTIONS

 SHALL SOUND IN A CONSTANTLY ATTENDED AREA AND A GENERAL
 OCCUPANT NOTIFICATION SHALL BE BROADCAST OVER THE

 3C) THE THIRD CRITERIA IS THE OPEN CORRIDOR ONTO WHICH
 THE OPEN SPACE ADJOINS THIS SPACE IS TO BE OUTFITTED
 WITH QUICK RESPONCE SPRINKLER HEADS, SHEET FS.02 DOES
 INDICATE THE USE OF QUICK RESPONCE HEADS BUT FS.01 DOES
 INDICATE THE USE OF A R13 SYSTEM THIS AREA IS WITHIN A
 HIGH-RISE BUILDING REQUIRING A FULL NFPA 13 SYSTEM
 PLEASE CORRECT.
  
 3D) AS TO THE FOURTH REQUIREMENT WAITING AREAS AND
 SIMILAR SPACES OPEN TO THE CORRIDORS MUST BE ARRANGED
 SO AS TO NOT OBSTRUCT ACCESS TO THE EXITS, THIS

 SPACE OF 2'-3" OR 27". THIS WILL BECOME A ABSOLUTE
 HEIGHT IN MOST CASES SINCE WE ALSO HAVE TO REVIEW FOR
 11-4.4.1 PROTRUDING OBJECT WHICH REQUIRES A HEIGTH OF
 NOT MORE THAN 27" FROM THE FINISH FLOOR FOR OBJECTS
 THAT PROTRUDE MORE THAN 4". THE SECOND ISSUE IS WITH
 THE HIGH SIDE OF THE DRINKING FOUNTAIN, HOW WILL THIS
 AREA OF THE DRINKING FOUNTAIN COMPLY WITH THIS SAME
 CODE SECTION. WE HAVE SEEN IN SOME INSTANCES EXTENSION
 OR APRONS DROPPING FROM THE DRINKING FOUNTAIN THAT
 BRINGS THE DRINKING FOUNTAIN INTO COMPLIANCE.
