 6- ENGINEER OF RECORD TO REVIEW AND APPROVED IN WRITING
 (NOT SIGNING AND SEALING) ALL PRODUCT APPROVALS AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 106.3.3 CITY AMENDMENTS TO FBC 2004.
 (REPEAT COMMENT). ENGINEER PROVIDED LETTER STATING "THE
 PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR ALL THE WINDOWS AND DOORS FOR
 THIS RESIDENCE HAVE BEEN REVIEWED AND ARE IN ACCORDANCE
 WITH THE 2004 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, INCLUDING THE 2006
 AMENDMENTS". THIS LETTER IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. THIS
 STATEMENT IS TOO GENERAL AND IT DOESN'T IDENTIFY WHICH
 SPECIFIC PRODUCT APPROVALS HE REVIEWED. THERE ARE EVEN
 PRODUCT APPROVALS THAT CONTRACTOR DIDN'T SUBMIT WITH
 PERMIT PACKAGE. ALSO, THERE ARE OTHER PRODUCT APPROVALS
 LIKE SHINGLES, MULLIONS, STRUCTURAL CONNECTORS,
 SHUTTERS, FLAT ROOF ASSEMBLY THAT ENGINEER DOESN'T EVEN
 MENTION. ENGINEER OF RECORD NEED TO REVIEW AND APPROVE
 IN WRITING (NOT SIGNING AND SEALING) EACH INDIVIDUAL
 PRODUCT APPROVAL. IF USING LETTER TO IDENTIFY PRODUCT
 APPROVALS, THEN LIST ALL THE PRODUCT APPROVALS NUMBERS
 AND SPECIFIC MODEL/TYPE REVIEWED. AN STANDARD REVIEW
 STAMP ON EACH PRODUCT APPROVAL MAY BE USED ALSO.
  
 7- SHEET S-2:
 A) REVISE ROOF FRAMING PLAN NOTE #3: ROOF ZONE 3
 REQUIRES 4" O.C. 8D RING SHANK NAILS IN ROOF ZONE 3. AS

 CODE. REVISE AS REQUIRED AND IDENTIFY ROOF ZONE #3.

 8- SHEET S-3:
 A) HOW IS ACCESS PROVIDED FOR THE NEW GAS WATER HEATER
 CLOSET. SEE CHAPTER 24 OF 2004 FLORIDA RESIDENTIAL CODE
 FOR PROHIBITED LOCATIONS. ALSO, PROVIDE ALL THE
 PERTINENT INFORMATION FOR PLUMBING REVIEW. (REPEAT
 COMMENT). FLOOR PLANS DON'T SHOW ANY DOOR, BUT EXTERIOR
 ELEVATIONS SHOW AN EXTERIOR DOOR. REVISE PLANS AS
 REQUIRED TO MATCH AND PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL FOR
 DOOR.
  
 B) PROVIDE ACTUAL CALCULATIONS FOR THE DESIGN PRESSURES
 OF DOORS AND WINDOWS TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH THE
 DESIGN PRESSURES OF SEC. R301 OF 2004 FLORIDA
 RESIDENTIAL CODE. DESIGN PRESSURES PROVIDED ARE THE
 SAME FOR OPENINGS LOCATED ON INTERIOR OR END ZONE.
 OPENINGS ON END ZONES HAVE HIGHER DESIGN PRESSURES.
 CLEARLY IDENTIFY OPENINGS ON END ZONES AND PROVIDE
 CORRESPONDING DESIGN PRESSURES.
  
 C) SPECIFY SAFETY GLASS IN WINDOW NEXT TO THE DOOR IN
 NEW DEN AREA AND BY BATH TUB AREA. SEC. R308.4 2004
 FLORIDA RESIDENTIAL CODE. (REPEAT COMMENT). ENGINEER
 RESPONDED THAT WINDOW TO HAVE IMPACT GLASS. PRODUCT
 APPROVAL SUBMITTED IS FOR NON-IMPACT GLASS. CLARIFY
 REVISE AS REQUIRED.
  
 D) SHOW THE EXTERIOR LANDINGS, STEPS AND RAILINGS TO
 VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH SEC. R311.4.3, R311.5 AND R312
 OF 2004 FLORIDA RESIDENTIAL CODE. (REPEAT COMMENT).
 ENGINEER RESPONSE WAS THAT DETAILS WERE ON SHEET S-5.
 DETAILS ON SHEET S-5 ARE STILL NO PROVIDING ALL THE
 REQUIRED INFORMATION.
 **ALSO, FLOOR PLANS NEED TO SHOW THE LOCATION AND
 DIMENSIONS FOR THE STAIRS. PLANS SUBMITTED DON'T
 PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION.
  
 9- SHEET S-4:
 A) ALL THE ELEVATIONS SHOWN ON THIS SHEET DON'T MATCH
 FLOOR PLANS. REVISE AS REQUIRED. (REPEAT COMMENT).
 ENGINEER RESPONDED THAT PHOTOS HAVE BEEN SUBSTITUTED
 FOR ELEVATIONS. PHOTOS WERE NOT SUBMITTED BUT
 REGARDLESS ELEVATIONS AND FLOOR PLANS NEED TO MATCH
 ANYWAY.
  
 B) REVISE DOOR AND WINDOWS DESIGN PRESSURES. COORDINATE
 WITH ITEM 8B ABOVE. (REPEAT COMMENT). NEED CORRECT
 DESIGN PRESSURES FOR END AND INTERIOR ZONES.
