 1) SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE
 EXTERIOR DOOR, WALL LOUVERS, WALL PANELS, ETC. AS
 REQUIRED BY DCA RULE 9B-72.

 SITE SPECIFIC PRODUCT APPROVALS.
  
 2) FBC 106.3* CITY AMENDMENTS PRODUCT APPROVALS. THOSE
 PRODUCT WHICH ARE REGULATED BY DCA RULE 9B-72 SHALL BE
 REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF
 RECORD PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL FOR JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL.

 **HAVE THE DESIGNER OF RECORD REVIEW AND APPROVE THE
 PRODUCT APPROVALS IN WRITING.
  
 3) THE RESPONSE TO COMMENT #13 INDICATES THAT (4) 150
 POUND CYLINDERS OF CHLORINE GAS WILL BE HOUSED IN THIS
 BUILDING. EACH 150 POUND CYLINDER CONTAINS 810 CUBIC
 FEET OF CHLORINE GAS. THEREFORE, THERE WILL BE 3240
 CUBIC FEET OF GAS STORED IN THE BUILDING. THE MATERIAL
 SAFETY DATA SHEET CLASSIFIES CHLORINE AS AN OXIDIZING
 GAS. PER FBC TABLE 307.7(1), THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE
 QUANTITY THAT CAN BE STORED (OR IN USE PER FOOTNOTE B)
 IS 1500 CUBIC FEET. IF THIS AMOUNT IS EXCEEDED THEN THE
 OCCUPANCY IS REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED H-3. FOOTNOTES D
 AND E TO THE TABLE EACH ALLOW THE QUANTITIES TO BE
 INCREASED 100 PERCENT. THE INCREASE FOR BOTH ARE
 APPLIED ACCUMULATIVELY. SEE FBC 307.1 AND TABLE
 307.7(1)
  
 **THE PROPOSED SAFETY FEATURE DOES NOT ADDRESS THIS
 COMMENT. IT WILL CLOSE THE VALVE BUT DOES NOT CONTAIN
 OR PROTECT THE CYLINDERS.
  
 4) THE SITE PLAN SHOWS THAT THE 1 STORY BUILDING IS
 3.20' TO THE WEST OF THE NEW BUILDING. FBC 704.3
 ADDRESSES BUILDINGS ON THE SAME LOT WITH AN IMAGINARY
 LINE BETWEEN THEM. SEE FBC 702.1 FOR DEFINITION OF FIRE
 SEPARATION DISTANCE. NOTE THAT THE FIRE SEPARATION
 DISTANCE IS NOT THE DISTANCE FROM BUILDING TO BUILDING,
 BUT TO AN IMAGINARY LINE BETWEEN THEM SUCH THAT EACH
 BUILDING COMPLIES WITH TABLE 602 AND TABLE 704.8. TABLE
 602 REQUIRES GROUP H TYPE V-B WITH LESS THAN 5 FEET
 FIRE SEPARATION DISTANCE TO HAVE 3 HOUR FIRE RATED
 WALLS. USING THE EXCEPTION TO 704.3 ALLOWS THE
 BUILDINGS TO BE CONSIDERED AS PORTIONS OF ONE BUILDING
 IF THE AGGREGATE AREA OF THE BUILDINGS IS WITHIN THE
 LIMITS SPECIFIED FOR ONE BUILDING. UNDER 302.3.2
 SEPARATED USES THE NEW H-3 OCCUPANCY WOULD BE REQUIRED
 TO BE SEPARATED FROM THE EXISTING F-1 OCCUPANCY WITH
 ONE HOUR FIRE RATED WALLS. PREVIOUS COMMENTS #9,
 #10,#11 AND #12.
  
 **THE PROPOSED SAFETY FEATURE DOES NOT ADDRESS THIS
 COMMENT. H-3 OCCUPANCY SEPARATION SHALL COMPLY WITH FBC
 TABLE 602 AND 415.3.1 FOR DISTANCE TO LOT LINES.
