 INDICATE THE REVISION & REMOVE & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
 EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED
 COOPERATION.
  
 2) INFORMATIONAL: PLANS SUBMITTED FOR PERMIT (FIRST
 TIME REVIEW) AFTER JULY 1ST, 2007 SHALL BE REVIEWED TO
 THE 2004 FBC BUILDING WITH THE 2007 SUPPLEMENTS.
  
 3)2004 FBC EXISTING
 301.5 A DESIGN PROFESSIONAL OR AN OWNER MUST ELECT ONE
 OR A COMBINATION OF LEVELS OF ALTERATION PURSUANT TO
 SECTIONS 303, 304 AND 305 OF THIS CODE.
  
 4)THE APPLICATION INDICATES THE CAPPING OF BIDET, THE
 REMOVAL OF AN EXISTING SHOWER AND TUB WHICH WILL
 REQUIRE THE FLOOR TO BE SEAL WITH AN APPROVED
 PENETRATION FIRE STOP SYSTEM WHEN THESE ITEMS ARE
 REMOVED.
  
 5)712.4 PENETRATIONS OF A FLOOR, FLOOR/CEILING
 ASSEMBLY OR THE CEILING MEMBRANE OF A ROOF/CEILING
 ASSEMBLY SHALL BE PROTECTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION
 707. PENETRATIONS PERMITTED BY EXCEPTIONS 3 AND 4 OF
 SECTION 707.2 SHALL COMPLY WITH SECTIONS 712.4.1
 THROUGH 712.4.4 .
  
 6)712.4.1.2 THROUGH PENETRATIONS SHALL BE PROTECTED
 BY AN APPROVED THROUGH-PENETRATION FIRE STOP SYSTEM
 INSTALLED AND TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 814 OR
 UL 1479, WITH A MINIMUM POSITIVE PRESSURE DIFFERENTIAL
 OF 0.01 INCH OF WATER. THE SYSTEM SHALL HAVE AN F
 RATING AND A T RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 1 HOUR BUT NOT
 LESS THAN THE REQUIRED RATING OF THE FLOOR PENETRATED.
  
 7)A CBC CONTRACTOR CANNOT DO ANY STRUCTURAL WORK ON A
 BUILDING OVER THREE STORIES IN HEIGHT. THE FLOOR
 PENETRATIONS REPAIRS SHALL BE PERFORMED BY A LICENSE
 GENERAL CONTRACTOR OR A LICENSE FIRE PROOFING COMPANY.
 INFORMATION SHALL BE PROVIDED TO THIS OFFICE STATING
 WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL STRUCTURAL
 PENETRATIONS. PROVIDE THE UL SYSTEM FOR THE FLOOR
 PENETRATIONS ON THE PLANS.
  
 8)PROVIDE THE DETAILS FOR THE NEW WALL INDICATING ALL
 THE MATERIALS. ANY PENETRATIONS THROUGH A FIRE WALL
 SHALL REPAIR IN A MANNER WHICH MEETS THE RATING OF THE
 EXISTING WALL. THE UL NUMBER FOR FIRE PARTITION WALL
 NEED TO SHOWN ON THE PLANS.
