 BUILDING CONTRACTOR" MEANS A CONTRACTOR WHOSE
 SERVICES ARE LIMITED TO CONSTRUCTION OF COMMERCIAL
 BUILDINGS AND SINGLE-DWELLING OR MULTIPLE-DWELLING
 RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS, WHICH COMMERCIAL OR RESIDENTIAL
 BUILDINGS DO NOT EXCEED THREE STORIES IN HEIGHT, AND
 ACCESSORY USE STRUCTURES IN CONNECTION THEREWITH OR A
 CONTRACTOR WHOSE SERVICES ARE LIMITED TO REMODELING,
 REPAIR, OR IMPROVEMENT OF ANY SIZE BUILDING IF THE
 SERVICES DO NOT AFFECT THE STRUCTURAL MEMBERS OF THE
 BUILDING. SHEET S01.1 & S02.1 BOTH INDICATE STRUCTURAL
 MEMBERS THAT WILL AFFECT THE STOREFRONT SYSTEM AND THUS
 THE BUILDING ENVELOPE ITSELF.
 RESPONSE INDICATES THAT THE CBC HAS APPLIED FOR THE
 ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIRED. UNTIL THE CGC ICENSE HAS
 BEEN ISSUED WE CAN NOT ISSUE THE PERMIT TO THE CBC.
  
 A SOLUTION IS TO HAVE A CGC PULL A SUB-PERMIT FOR THE
 INSTALLATION OF THE STOREFRONT SYSTEM AND HAVE THE CBC
 REMOVE THE STOREFRONT SYSTEM FROM THEIR SCOPE OF WORK.
 THIS HAS BEEN AN AVENUE USED BY OTHER CONTRACTORS THAT
 WERE IN THE SAME LICENSING SITUATION.
  
  
 3) 2ND REQUEST, PRODUCT APPROVALS SUBMITTED WITH PERMIT
 APPLICATION AFTER OCTOBER 1, 2003 ARE REQUIRED TO
 COMPLY WITH THE FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVAL SYSTEM. FOR
 INFORMATION PLEASE SEE THE STATE WEBSITE AT
 WWW.FLORIDABUILDING.ORG. PRODUCTS WITH STATEWIDE
 APPROVAL ARE REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED WITH A COVER
 SHEET THAT LISTS THE PRODUCT IDENTITY NUMBER FROM THE
 STATE. IF THE PRODUCT DOES NOT HAVE STATEWIDE APPROVAL,
 SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR LOCAL PRODUCT APPROVAL OR
 SITE SPECIFIC FORM PER RULE 9B-72.
  
 KAWNEER350-MS, REQUIRES FLORIDA COVERSHEET, COMMENT
 FROM THE LAST REVIEW, THE SITUATION AT HAND, THE BATH &
 BODY WORKS COVERSHEET LIST 2 KAWNEER FLORIDA
 COVERSHEETS AND THE CORRESPONDING MIAMI-DADE NOA'SFL
 627 FOR STOREFRONT AND THE SECOND IS FL 629 FOR
 STOREFRONT SWINGING DOOR.BOTH OF THESE NUMBERS ARE
 UNDER THE 2001 FBC NOT THE CURRENT 2004 FBC. PLEASE
 REMOVE THESE NUMBERS FROM THE PLAN DOCUMENTS. THE TWO
 MIAMI-DADE NOA'S THAT WERE SUBMITTED CAN BE USED AS
 LOCAL PRODUCT APPROVALS SINCE MIAMI-DADE HAS THEIR OWN
 THIRD PARTY QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM. THE ISSUE IS THE
 KANEER NOA 04-0329.03 DOES HAVE THE DESIGNERS WRITTEN
 APPROVAL ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THE REPORT WHERE AS THE
 ARCH ALUMINUM NOA 05-0906.05 IS NOT SPECED IN FOR THE
 JOB, A KAWNEER STOREFRONT SYSTEM IS SPECKED IN UNDER
 THE NOA 02-0220.01, THIS NOA HAS EXPIRED ON 8-29-07,
 NOT CURRENT REPORT.
  
 A SOLUTION. THE ARCH ALUMINUM MIAMI-DADE NOA 05-0906.05
 IS A CURRENT REPORT, IT MEETS THE WIND PRESSURES AND
 CAN BE A LOCAL PRODUCT APPROVAL WITH THE MIAMI-DADE
 THIRD PARTY QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM. TWO ISSUES WILL
 NEED TO BE ADDRESSED.
 1) THE DESIGN TEAM WILL NEED TO REVIEW THIS NOA FOR
 CODE COMPLIANCE THEN APPLY THEIR SHOP DRAWING STAMP IF
 APPROVED.
 2) THE MIAMI-DADE NOA WOULD SECOND NEED TO BE
 REVIEWED BY CAPRI ENGINEERING FOR CODE COMPLIANCE, IF
 FOUND CODE COMPLIANT, STAMP AND SUBMIT TO THE BUILDING
 DEPARTMENT.
  
 IN REVIEWING THESE OPTIONS WITH THE BUILDING OFFICIAL
 HE HAS AGREED THAT AS FAR AS THE "BUILDING REVIEW" WE
 COULD ISSUE A PERMIT WITHOUT A THIRD AUDIT. ONLY ITEMS
 TO BE CORRECTED WOULD BE
 1) CGC TO TAKE ON THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE STOREFRONT
 SYSTEMS, THE NOA'S THAT ARE FOUND TO BE CODE COMPLIANT
 WITH THE DESIGN TEAMS APPROVAL AND CAPRI'S APPROVAL
 COULD THEN BE ISSUED.
 2) THE CBC ON THEIR APPLICATION WOULD NEED TO IDENTIFY
 INTERIOR WORK ONLY, AND BUILDING COULD THEN CHANGE THIS
 REVIEW INTO A PASSED.
