 BEACH COUNTY, PLANS STAMPED BY THEM AND
 COPY OF RECEIPT SUBMITTED TO CITY OF
 WEST PALM BEACH BUILDING DEPARTMENT,
 BEFORE A BUILDING PERMIT CAN BE ISSUED.
  
 3) THE TWO 2X8 GIRDERS SUPPORTING THE FLOOR, ROOF AND
 CEILING LOADS APPEAR TO EXCEED THE ALLOWABLE SPANS IN
 TABLE R502.2.4(1). PROVIDE CALCULATIONS.FBC 106.1.2*
 CITY AMENDMENTS
  
 4)THE FOUNDATION SPECIFIED DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE
 ADEQUATE TO RESIST UPLIFT AND OVER TURNING. SHOW
 COMPLIANCE WITH FBC R 401.2 AND R 403.1.1. PROVIDE
 CALCULATIONS.
  
 5) SPECIFY THE TYPE OF WINDOW (IE SINGLE HUNG, ETC.)
 THAT WILL BE INSTALLED IN THE BATHROOM. FBC 106.1.1*

 6) SUBMIT ENERGY CALCULATIONS FOR THE ADDITION AS
 REQUIRED BY FBC 13-600.

 TERMITE PROTECTION SHALL BE PROVIDED BY REGISTERED
 TERMITICIDES, INCLUDING SOIL APPLIED PESTICIDES,
 BAITING SYSTEMS, AND PESTICIDES APPLIED TO WOOD, OR
 OTHER APPROVED METHODS OF TERMITE PROTECTION LABELED
 FOR USE AS A PREVENTATIVE TREATMENT TO NEW CONSTRUCTION
 (SEE SECTION 202 , REGISTERED TERMITICIDE).
  
 9) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R319.1 LOCATION REQUIRED. IN
 AREAS SUBJECT TO DECAY DAMAGE AS ESTABLISHED BY TABLE
 R301.2(1) , THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS SHALL REQUIRE THE
 USE OF AN APPROVED SPECIES AND GRADE OF LUMBER,
 PRESSURE TREATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH AWPA C1, C2, C3,
 C4, C9, C15, C18, C22, C23, C24, C28, C31, C33, P1, P2
 AND P3, OR DECAY-RESISTANT HEARTWOOD OF REDWOOD, BLACK
 LOCUST, OR CEDARS.
 1.WOOD JOISTS OR THE BOTTOM OF A WOOD STRUCTURAL
 FLOOR WHEN CLOSER THAN 18 INCHES (457 MM) OR WOOD
 GIRDERS WHEN CLOSER THAN 12 INCHES (305 MM) TO THE
 EXPOSED GROUND IN CRAWL SPACES OR UNEXCAVATED AREA
 LOCATED WITHIN THE PERIPHERY OF THE BUILDING
 FOUNDATION.
  
 10) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R408.1 VENTILATION.
 THE UNDER-FLOOR SPACE BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE FLOOR
 JOISTS AND THE EARTH UNDER ANY BUILDING (EXCEPT SPACE
 OCCUPIED BY A BASEMENT OR CELLAR) SHALL BE PROVIDED
 WITH VENTILATION OPENINGS THROUGH FOUNDATION WALLS OR
 EXTERIOR WALLS. THE MINIMUM NET AREA OF VENTILATION
 OPENINGS SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN 1 SQUARE FOOT FOR EACH
 150 SQUARE FEET (0.67 M 2 FOR EACH 100 M 2 ) OF
 UNDER-FLOOR SPACE AREA. ONE SUCH VENTILATING OPENING
 SHALL BE WITHIN 3 FEET (914 MM) OF EACH CORNER OF SAID
 BUILDING. THIS WILL NOT APPLY IF THERE IS NO FOUNDATION
 CURTAIN WALL, AS THE PLANS APPEAR TO INDICATE. PLEASE
 CLARIFY.
  
 11) THE WALL SECTION ON SHEET 2 SPECIFIES 2 X 6 RAFTERS
 AND THE NOTE ON THE ROOF FRAMING PLAN SPECIFIES 2 X 4
 ROOF FRAMING. PLEASE CLARIFY. FBC 106.1.1* CITY
 AMENDMENTS
  
 12) THE TYPICAL WINDOW AND DOOR DETAIL ON SHEET 2 IS
 FOR MASONRY AND STUCCO CONSTRUCTION. THIS PROJECT IS

 13) PROVIDE A DETAIL OF THE LOAD BEARING SUPPORTING
 STRUCTURE WHERE THE CORNER OF THE EXISTING STRUCTURE'S
 WALL HAS BEEN REMOVED TO PROVIDE OPENINGS INTO THE

 14) PROVIDE A DETAIL OF FRAMING AND CONNECTORS AT THE

 16)FBC 106.3* CITY AMENDMENTS PRODUCT APPROVALS.
 THOSE PRODUCT WHICH ARE REGULATED BY DCA RULE 9B-72
 SHALL BE REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE
 DESIGNER OF RECORD PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL FOR
 JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL.
  
 17)THE NOTES ON SHEET 1 SPECIFY THE 2004 CODES WITH
 2006 AMENDMENTS. THE CODE EDITION FOR THIS PROJECT IS
 THE 2004 FBC WITH 2007 REVISIONS. PLEASE REVISE.
