 LEVEL 3 ALTERATION AND ADDITION
  
 DENIED BY BUILDING
  
 1) A RECORDED COPY OF THE NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT
 MUST BE SUBMITTED BEFORE A
 PERMIT CAN BE ISSUED.
  
 2) IMPACT FEES MUST BE PAID TO PALM
 BEACH COUNTY, PLANS STAMPED BY THEM AND
 COPY OF RECEIPT SUBMITTED TO CITY OF
 WEST PALM BEACH BUILDING DEPARTMENT,
 BEFORE A BUILDING PERMIT CAN BE ISSUED.
  
 3) CORRECT THE JURISDICTION LISTED ON THE COVERSHEET TO
 THE CITY OF WEST PLAM BEACH.
  
 4) SPECIFY THE OCCUPANCY TYPE OF THE EXISTING
 STRUCTURE. SEE FBC 302.
  
 5) IF THE OCCUPANCY OF THE STRUCTURE IS BEING CHANGED,
 THE FBC EXISTING BUILDING CODE 807.2 REQUIRES THE
 STRUCTURE TO BE ANALYZED AND MADE TO COMPLY WITH THE
 APPLICABLE WIND LOAD PROVISIONS.
  
 6) SPECIFY THE LOCATIONS AND SIZE OF THE VERTICAL
 REINFORCEMENT OF THE MASONRY WALLS.
  
 7) SPECIFY THE SIZE AND REINFORCING OF THE EXISTING
 FOOTING.
  
 8) SPECIFY THE SIZE AND REINFORCING OF THE EXISTING TIE
 BEAM.
  
 10) SPECIFY THE WIDTH OF THE NEW FOOTING FOR THE
 INTERIOR LOAD BEARING WALL.
  
 11) CORRECT THE REINFORCING NOTE ON SHEET A1 FOR THE
 NEW CONCRETE FOOTING THAT SPECIFIES (4) #5 BUCK.
  
 12) THE FLOOR TRUSSES SUPPORTING THE WOOD FRAME
 EXTERIOR WALL DO NOT HAVE AN ID TAG ON S1.
  
 13) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R309.2 SEPARATION REQUIRED.
 THE GARAGE SHALL BE SEPARATED FROM THE RESIDENCE AND
 ITS ATTIC AREA BY NOT LESS THAN 1/2 -INCH (12.7 MM)
 GYPSUM BOARD APPLIED TO THE GARAGE SIDE. GARAGES
 BENEATH HABITABLE ROOMS SHALL BE SEPARATED FROM ALL
 HABITABLE ROOMS ABOVE BY NOT LESS THAN 5 / 8 -INCH
 (15.9 MM) TYPE X GYPSUM BOARD OR EQUIVALENT. WHERE THE
 SEPARATION IS A FLOOR-CEILING ASSEMBLY, THE STRUCTURE
 SUPPORTING THE SEPARATION SHALL ALSO BE PROTECTED BY
 NOT LESS THAN 1/2-INCH (12.7 MM) GYPSUM BOARD OR
 EQUIVALENT.
  
 14) R311.5.3.2 REQUIRES STAIR TREADS AND RISERS TO BE
 PROPORTIONED SUCH THAT THE SUM OF TWO RISERS AND A
 TREAD, EXCLUSIVE OF THE NOSING, IS NOT LESS THAN 24
 INCHES NOR MORE THAN 25 INCHES.
  
 15) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R311.2.2 UNDER STAIR
 PROTECTION.
 ENCLOSED ACCESSIBLE SPACE UNDER STAIRS SHALL HAVE
 WALLS, UNDER STAIR SURFACE AND ANY SOFFITS PROTECTED ON
 THE ENCLOSED SIDE WITH 1/2 -INCH (12.7 MM) GYPSUM
 BOARD.
  
 16) R312.2 REQUIRES THE INTERMEDIATE RAILS ON GUARDS TO
 PREVENT THE PASSAGE OF A 4" SPHERE. THEREFORE, THE
 OPENINGS MUST BE LESS THAN 4 INCHES. PLEASE REVISE NOTE
 ON S1.
  
 17) THE GABLE END DETAIL ON S1 SHOWS A VENTED VINYL
 SOFFIT AND THE WALL SECTION ON E1 SHOWS A STUCCO
 SOFFIT. PLEASE CORRECT.
  
 18) THE EXTERIOR WALL COVERING IS SPECIFIED AS CEDAR
 SHAKES ON A1 AND THE WALL SECTION ON E1 SHOWS STUCCO.
 PLEASE CORRECT.
  
 19) ASTM C 926 REQUIRES STUCCO APPLIED VERTICALLY TO
 WIRE LATH OF A SOLID BASE TO BE 7/8" THICK. PLEASE
 REVISE THE NOTES ON THEWALL SECTION ON E1.
  
 20) ASTM C 1063 REQUIRES THE NAILS OR STAPLES USED TO
 ATTACH HIGH RIB METAL LATH TO PROVIDE AT LEAST 1-3/4"
 PENETRATION INTO HORIZONTAL WOOD FRAMING MEMBERS AND
 3/4" PENETRATION INTO VERTICAL WOOD FRAMING MEMBERS.
  
 21)THE MTS 12 WOOD TO WOOD CONNECTORS DO NOT PROVIDE
 ANY RESISTANCE TO LATERAL LOADS. SPECIFY HOW THE
 LATERAL LOADS AT THE TOP OF THE SECOND FLOOR WALLS WILL
 BE RESISTED.
  
 22) THE CS18 STRAPS SPECIFIED ON E1 ARE NOT DESIGNED
 FOR USE WITH CONCRETE/MASONRY. PLEASE SPECIFY A STRAP
 THAT IS DESIGNED AND TESTED FOR THIS APPLICATION SUCH
 AS MSTAM OR MSTCM.
  
 23) SPECIFY THE COMPONENT AND CLADDING PRESSURES FOR
 THE OVERHEAD DOOR AND THE SIDE SWING DOOR ON SHEET A1.
  
 24) SPECIFY THE INSULATION FOR THE 2 X 6 WOOD FRAME
 WALLS ON THE SECOND FLOOR AND THE FLOOR INSULATION
 ABOVE THE GARAGE ON THE ENERGY CALCULATION FORM.
  
 25)SUBMIT 2 COPIES OF PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE 16'
 WIDE OVERHEAD GARAGE DOOR AND THE FIXED GLASS WINDOWS.
  
 26) THE MODEL NUMBER SPECIFIED ON THE PLANS FOR THE
 SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS DOES NOT CORRESPOND TO THE WINDOW
 PRODUCT APPROVALS THAT WERE SUBMITTED. PLEASE CORRECT.
  
 27) THE SH 24 WINDOW SPECIFIED FOR THE SECOND FLOOR
 BEDROOM TYPICALLY WILL NOT MEET THE CLEAR OPENING
 HEIGHT REQUIREMENT. SUBMIT THE CLEAR OPENING DIMENSIONS
 FOR THIS WINDOW FROM THE MANUFACTURER SHOWING
 COMPLIANCE WITH R310 OR SPECIFY ANOTHER WINDOW.
  
 27) THE NOAS THAT WERE SUBMITTED FOR THE FRENCH DOORS
 AND THE SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS WERE INCOMPLETE. SUBMIT THE
 COMPLETE NOAS INCLUDING THE APPROVED DRAWINGS.
  
 28) THE PLANS SHOW A SIX PANEL EXTERIOR DOOR AND THE
 PRODUCT APPROVALS SUBMITTED ARE FOR A GLAZED FRENCH
 DOOR. PLEASE CLARIFY.
  
 29) ON THE SECOND STORY FLOOR PLAN ON A1 THE WINDOWS
 ARE DESIGNATED BY THE LETTER 'C'. THE PRODUCT APPROVALS
 THAT WERE SUBMITTED ARE FOR SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS. PLEASE
 CHANGE THE 'C' TO 'SH' ON THE PLAN TO DENOTE SINGLE
 HUNG WINDOWS AND AVOID CONFUSION.
