 1) A RECORDED COPY OF THE NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT
 MUST BE SUBMITTED BEFORE A
 PERMIT CAN BE ISSUED.
  
 2) IMPACT FEES MUST BE PAID TO PALM
 BEACH COUNTY, PLANS STAMPED BY THEM AND
 COPY OF RECEIPT SUBMITTED TO CITY OF
 WEST PALM BEACH BUILDING DEPARTMENT,
 BEFORE A BUILDING PERMIT CAN BE ISSUED.
  
 3) SUBMIT ENERGY CALCULATIONS FOR THE ENCLOSED GARAGE
 AS REQUIRED BY FBC CHAPTER 13. TWO COPIES ARE REQUIRED.
 THE WRONG FORMS WERE SUBMITTED. THE FORM FOR SOUTH
 CLIMATE ZONES 7,8 AND 9 IS REQUIRED. THE CITY OF WEST
 PALM BEACH IS LOCATED IN CLIMATE ZONE 8. THE
 OWNER/AGENT IS REQUIRED TO SIGN AND DATE THE ENERGY
 CALCULATION FORMS. SEE FBC SECTION 13-6.
  
 4) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R404.1.6 HEIGHT ABOVE FINISHED
 GRADE.
 CONCRETE AND MASONRY FOUNDATION WALLS SHALL EXTEND
 ABOVE THE FINISHED GRADE ADJACENT TO THE FOUNDATION AT
 ALL POINTS A MINIMUM OF 4 INCHES (102 MM) WHERE MASONRY
 VENEER IS USED AND A MINIMUM OF 6 INCHES (152 MM)
 ELSEWHERE. ALSO SEE SECTION 704 INSPECTION FOR
 TERMITES.
 IN ORDER TO PROVIDE FOR INSPECTION FOR TERMITE
 INFESTATION, CLEARANCE BETWEEN EXTERIOR WALL COVERINGS
 AND FINAL EARTH GRADE ON THE EXTERIOR OF A BUILDING
 SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN 6 INCHES (152 MM). EXCEPTIONS:
 1.PAINT OR DECORATIVE CEMENTITIOUS FINISH LESS
 THAN 5 / 8 INCH (17.1 MM) THICK ADHERED DIRECTLY TO THE
 MASONRY FOUNDATION SIDEWALL.
 2.ACCESS OR VEHICLE RAMPS WHICH RISE TO THE
 INTERIOR FINISH FLOOR ELEVATION FOR THE WIDTH OF SUCH
 RAMPS ONLY.
 3.A 4-INCH (102 MM) INSPECTION SPACE ABOVE PATIO
 AND GARAGE SLABS AND ENTRY AREAS.
 4.IF THE PATIO HAS BEEN SOIL TREATED FOR TERMITES,
 THE FINISH ELEVATION MAY MATCH THE BUILDING INTERIOR
 FINISH FLOOR ELEVATIONS ON MASONRY CONSTRUCTION ONLY.
 5.MASONRY VENEERS.
 A CONCRETE CURB UNDER THE FRAME WALL OR OTHER
 ACCEPTABLE METHOD COULD BE USED AT THE GARAGE DOOR
 OPENING OR IT COULD BE ENCLOSED WITH MASONRY.
  
 5) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R506.2.3 VAPOR RETARDER. A 6
 MIL (0.006 INCH; 152 UM) POLYETHYLENE OR APPROVED VAPOR
 RETARDER WITH JOINTS LAPPED NOT LESS THAN 6 INCHES (152
 MM) SHALL BE PLACED BETWEEN THE CONCRETE FLOOR SLAB AND
 THE BASE COURSE OR THE PREPARED SUBGRADE WHERE NO BASE
 COURSE EXISTS. THE CODE DOES NOT REQUIRE THIS IN
 GARAGES OR UNHEATED ACCESSORY STRUCTURES. HOWEVER, THIS
 AREA IS BEING CONVERTED TO LIVING SPACE WHICH DOES
 REQUIRE A VAPOR RETARDER. NOTE: THE EXISTING CONCRETE
 CAN SEALED WITH AN APPROVED WATER PROOFING. SPECIFY ON
 THE PLANS.
  
 6) PROVIDE A SECTION OF THE EXTERIOR WALL AT THE
 IN-FILL FRAMING AT THE GARAGE DOOR OPENING. SHOW THE
 HEIGHT OF THE FINISH FLOOR ABOVE GRADE, THE CEILING
 HEIGHT AND FINISH, SPECIFY THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR
 WALL COVERINGS, VAPOR BARRIERS, INSULATION,FRAMING
 CONNECTORS, FASTENERS, ANCHORS ETC.FBC 106.1.2
  
 7)SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH R310 FOR EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND
 RESCUE OPENINGS REQUIRED FOR SLEEPING ROOMS. WINDOWS
 SPECIFIED ON THE PLAN DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE REQUIRED
 CLEAR OPENING. R310.1 EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE
 REQUIRED.
 BASEMENTS WITH HABITABLE SPACE AND EVERY SLEEPING ROOM
 SHALL HAVE AT LEAST ONE OPENABLE EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND
 RESCUE OPENING. WHERE BASEMENTS CONTAIN ONE OR MORE
 SLEEPING ROOMS, EMERGENCY EGRESS AND RESCUE OPENINGS
 SHALL BE REQUIRED IN EACH SLEEPING ROOM, BUT SHALL NOT
 BE REQUIRED IN ADJOINING AREAS OF THE BASEMENT. WHERE
 EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE OPENINGS ARE PROVIDED THEY
 SHALL HAVE A SILL HEIGHT OF NOT MORE THAN 44 INCHES
 (1118 MM) ABOVE THE FLOOR. WHERE A DOOR OPENING HAVING
 A THRESHOLD BELOW THE ADJACENT GROUND ELEVATION SERVES
 AS AN EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE OPENING AND IS
 PROVIDED WITH A BULKHEAD ENCLOSURE, THE BULKHEAD
 ENCLOSURE SHALL COMPLY WITH SECTION 310.3 . THE NET
 CLEAR OPENING DIMENSIONS REQUIRED BY THIS SECTION SHALL
 BE OBTAINED BY THE NORMAL OPERATION OF THE EMERGENCY
 ESCAPE AND RESCUE OPENING FROM THE INSIDE. EMERGENCY
 ESCAPE AND RESCUE OPENINGS WITH A FINISHED SILL HEIGHT
 BELOW THE ADJACENT GROUND ELEVATION SHALL BE PROVIDED
 WITH A WINDOW WELL IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION R310.2 .
 THE EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE OPENING SHALL BE
 PERMITTED TO OPEN INTO A SCREEN ENCLOSURE, OPEN TO THE
 ATMOSPHERE, WHERE A SCREEN DOOR IS PROVIDED LEADING
 AWAY FROM THE RESIDENCE.
 R310.1.1 MINIMUM OPENING AREA.
 ALL EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE OPENINGS SHALL HAVE A
 MINIMUM NET CLEAR OPENING OF 5.7 SQUARE FEET (0.530 M 2
 ).
 EXCEPTION: GRADE FLOOR OPENINGS SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM
 NET CLEAR OPENING OF 5 SQUARE FEET (0.465 M 2 ).
 R310.1.2 MINIMUM OPENING HEIGHT.
 THE MINIMUM NET CLEAR OPENING HEIGHT SHALL BE 24 INCHES
 (610 MM).
 R310.1.3 MINIMUM OPENING WIDTH.
 THE MINIMUM NET CLEAR OPENING WIDTH SHALL BE 20 INCHES
 (508 MM).
  
 8) SUBMIT 2 COPIES OF PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE
 EXTERIOR WINDOWS AND STORM PANELS (IF WINDOWS ARE NOT
 IMPACT RATED). SPECIFYTHE MOUNT TYPE, ANCHOR TYPE AND
 ANCHOR SPACING FOR THE STORM PANELS. CIRCLE THE
 APPROPRIATE INFORMATION ON THE PRODUCT APPROVAL
 DRAWINGS AND TABLES.
  
 9)PRODUCT APPROVALS SUBMITTED WITH
 PERMIT APPLICATION AFTER OCTOBER 1, 2003
 ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH THE FLORIDA
 PRODUCT APPROVAL SYSTEM. FOR INFORMATION
 PLEASE SEE THE STATE WEBSITE AT
 WWW.FLORIDABUILDING.ORG. PRODUCTS WITH
 STATEWIDE APPROVAL ARE REQUIRED TO BE
 SUBMITTED WITH A COVER SHEET THAT LISTS
 THE PRODUCT IDENTITY NUMBER FROM THE
 STATE.
  
 10)FBC 106.3* CITY AMENDMENTS PRODUCT
 APPROVALS. THOSE PRODUCT WHICH ARE
 REGULATED BY DCA RULE 9B-72 SHALL BE
 REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE
 DESIGNER OF RECORD PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL
 FOR JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL. THIS APPLIES TO THE WINDOW
 AND STORM PANEL PRODUCT APPROVALS.
  
 11) ON SHEET 1 THERE IS A NOTE BELOW THE FLOOR PLAN
 THAT STATES ADD 6" BATT INSULATION IN THE CEILING. ALSO
 ON SHEET 1, THE INTERIOR WALL SECTION SPECIFIES 9"
 (R30) BATT INSULATION. PLEASE CORRECT.
