 6 AND 7: A) ID-1A INDICATES THAT RATED WALLS AT THESE
 LOCATIONS ARE EXISTING AND PART OF BASE BUILDING PLANS.
 NO SUCH WALLS ARE SHOWN ON BASE BUILDING PLANS.
 B) M2.1 SHOWS LAY-IN GRILLS IN CEILINGS FOR ROOMS 104
 AND 127, BUT ID-1A CALLS FOR RATED CEILINGS. THERE IS
 NO INDICATION OF OPENING PROTECTIVES AT THESE CEILING
 PENETRATIONS.
 C) M2.1 ROOM 127 SHOWS TWO FIRE DAMPERS INSTALLED AT
 THE NORTH WALL. ACCORDING TO WALL DETAILS ON ID-1A THIS
 WALL DOES NOT GO TO DECK, RATHER IT TERMINATES 6 INCHES
 ABOVE THE CEILING. HOW ARE FIRE DAMPERS TO BE INSTALLED
 IN THIS WALL? ARE THEY TO BE BELOW THE CEILING? FIRE
 DAMPERS SHALL BE INSTALLED AS PART OF A RATED ASSEMBLY
 IN ACCORDANCE WITH FBC, M 607.2.
 D) HP-1 IS SHOWN PROVIDING SUPPLY AIR TO ROOMS 104 AND
 127. RETURN FOR HP-1 AND BASE BUILDING AC SYSTEM ARE
 SHARING A COMMON RETURN PLENUM AS AIR FROM ROOM 127 IS
 SHOWN RETURNING TO THE ABOVE CEILING PLENUM. FAN
 SHUT-DOWN BY SMOKE DETECTOR FOR HP-1 SHALL BE REQUIRED
 IN ACCORDANCE WITH FBC, M 606.2.2. SMOKE DETECTOR SHALL
 BE TIED INTO THE BUILDING FIRE ALARM SYSTEM IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH FBC, M 606.4.
 E) ACCORDING TO PG ID-1A, HP-1 WILL BE LOCATED ABOVE A
 FIRE RATED CEILING. SHOW THIS EQUIPMENT TO BE SERVICE
 ACCESSIBLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH FBC, M 306.1.

 WITH DAVID ALLEN AND TOM JOYNER (AHA ENGINEERING),
 FIRE/SMOKE DAMPERS ARE NOT REQUIRED IN TENANT
 SEPARATION WALLS FOR THE FUNCTION OF THE SMOKE CONTROL
 SYSTEM. THIS CHANGE MAY BE INCORPORATED INTO AN UPDATED
 TENANT DESIGN MANUAL. CONSULT WITH BUILDING MANAGEMENT
 REGARDING THIS CHANGE AS CHANGING THIS DESIGN PRIOR TO
 RESUBMITTAL COULD ELIMINATE THE NEED FOR REVISIONS
 RELATED TO THESE AREAS AFTER PERMIT ISSUANCE.
