 BOTKIN, P.E. STATES THAT THE PARKING GARAGE DOES NOT
 MEET THE DEFINITION OF "PARTIALLY ENCLOSED" BECAUSE AO
 < 1.10 AOI.THAT ARGUMENT HAS BEEN USED TO JUSTIFY
 CONSIDERATION OF THE PARKING GARAGE AS "ENCLOSED", AND
 TREATMENT OF THE PROPOSED GARAGE DOOR AS INTERIOR.
 PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING FLORIDA BUILDING CODE
 DEFINITIONS FOR THE TERMS AO AND AOI:
 AO IS "TOTAL AREA OF OPENINGS IN A WALL THAT RECEIVES
 POSITIVE EXTERNAL PRESSURE, IN SQUARE FEET"
 AOI IS "THE SUM OF THE AREAS OF OPENINGS IN THE
 BUILDING ENVELOPE (WALLS AND ROOF) NOT INCLUDING AO, IN
 SQUARE FEET"
 IN THIS CASE AO IS THE AREA OF THE GARAGE ENTRIES IN
 ONE EXTERIOR WALL (I.E. WILL RECEIVE POSITIVE PRESSURE
 AT THE SAME TIME), AND AOI IS THE SUM OF THE AREAS OF
 THE OPENINGS IN THE OTHER EXTERIOR WALLS OF THE GARAGE.
 THOSE OPENINGS DO NOT INCLUDE ANY THAT ARE FITTED WITH
 DOORS, WINDOWS OR OTHER CLOSURE DEVICES.THE
 ENGINEER'S MEMO DOES NOT STATE THE ACTUAL NUMBER OF
 SQUARE FEET REPRESENTED BY AOI.
 THE PARKING GARAGE MUST BE CONSIDERED AS PARTIALLY
 ENCLOSED UNLESS YOU CAN SHOW THAT AO < AOI.TO DO THIS
 YOU MUST SPECIFY THE SQUARE FOOTAGE OF AOI AND STATE
 WHICH "OTHER" OPENINGS HAVE BEEN TAKEN TO CONTRIBUTE TO
 THE SQUARE FOOTAGE OF AOI.EITHER PROVIDE THIS
 JUSTIFICATION OR SUBMIT A PRODUCT APPROVAL FOR A GARAGE
 DOOR PRODUCT THAT IWILL WITHSTAND THE APPROPRIATE
 COMPONENTS AND CLADDING PRESSURES.
