 OTHERWISE UNSECURED AT A CONSTRUCTION
 SITE FROM 24 HRS. AFTER A HURRICANE
 WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED UNTIL THE
 HURRICANE WATCH OR WARNING HAS BEEN
 LIFTED. ALL SUCH CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS,
 EQUIPMENT AND DEBRIS SHALL BE EITHER
 REMOVED FROM THE CONSTRUCTION SITE OR
 SECURED IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO MINIMIZE
 THE DANGER OF SUCH CONSTRUCTION
 MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT AND DEBRIS CAUSING
 DAMAGE TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY FROM HIGH
 WINDS.
 ANY PERSONS WHO FAILS TO COMPLY TO
 REMOVE OR SECURE THE CONSTRUCTION
 MATERIALS EQUIPMENT AND DEBRIS WITHIN

 8) SHEET A-2 EXISTING ROOF PLAN, THE MAIN ROOF
 INDICATES THE USE OF (3) 4" ROOF DRAINS, THE PLANS
 INDICATE (1) DRAIN IS TO BE CLOSED UP. THE DRAINS ARE
 AT THE LOW POINT IN THE ROOF. THE EMERGENCY OVER FLOWS
 ARE AT THE HIGH POINT IN THE ROOF , A NOT ON THE PLAN
 INDICATES THERE TO BE 12" OF SLOPE ON THE ROOF. IN
 OTHERWORDS IF THE 2 DRAINS GET PLUGGED 12"OF WATER
 WILL POND ON THE ROOF BEFORE WATER WILL BEGIN TO
 CASCADE OVER THE EMERGENCY OVERFLOWS!!!!
 1503.4.2 SCUPPER.
 WHERE REQUIRED FOR ROOF DRAINAGE, A SCUPPER SHALL BE
 PLACED LEVEL WITH THE ROOF SURFACE IN A WALL OR
 PARAPET. THE SCUPPER SHALL BE LOCATED AS DETERMINED BY
 THE SLOPE AND THE CONTRIBUTING AREA OF THE ROOF. THE
 EXTERIOR FACING OR LINING OF A SCUPPER, IF METAL, SHALL
 BE THE SAME AS FLASHING MATERIAL REQUIRED BY SECTIONS
 1503 THROUGH 1510 FOR THE PARTICULAR TYPE OF COVERING
 SPECIFIED FOR THE BUILDING. FOR OTHER TYPE MATERIALS,
 FOLLOW MANUFACTURER?S SPECIFICATIONS.

 WHEN OTHER MEANS OF DRAINAGE OF OVERFLOW WATER IS NOT
 PROVIDED, OVERFLOW SCUPPERS SHALL BE PLACED IN WALLS OR
 PARAPETS NOT LESS THAN 2 INCHES (51 MM) NOR MORE THAN 4
 INCHES (102 MM) ABOVE THE FINISHED ROOF COVERING AND
 SHALL BE LOCATED AS CLOSE AS PRACTICAL TO REQUIRED
 VERTICAL LEADERS OR DOWNSPOUTS OR WALL AND PARAPET
 SCUPPERS. AN OVERFLOW SCUPPER SHALL BE SIZED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, PLUMBING.
  
 9) SHEET A-2 ON THE NEW ROOF THE SAME SITUATION APPEARS
 OVERFLOWS ARE SHOWN ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE BUILDING
 WITH 8" OF SLOPE BEFORE WATER HITS THE EMERGENCY

 SPLASH BLOCKS. GUTTERS WITH DOWNSPOUTS ARE REQUIRED ON
 ALL BUILDINGS WITH EAVES OF LESS THAN 6 INCHES (152 MM)
 HORIZONTAL PROJECTION EXCEPT FOR GABLE END RAKES OR ON
 A ROOF ABOVE ANOTHER ROOF.
