 NOT HOW THEY WERE INTENDED TO BE USED.
 PLEASE SEE THE SIMPSON STRONG-TIE
 CATALOG FOR MORE INFORMATION AND
 INDICATE THE CORRECT CONNECTOR/STRAP FOR
 THE UPLIFT RESISTANCE.
  
 4) EXPLAIN WHY EIGHT PIECES OF PT 2X8
 ARE STACKED ON EACH OTHER TO BUILD UP
 THE COLUMS INSTEAD OF OTHER METHODS OF CONSTRUCTION.
 THE LIQUID NAILS WILL
 DETERIORATE OVER TIME AND THE STACKED
 PIECES WILL SHRINK AND CAUSE OTHER
 STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS IN DUE TIME. ONCE
 AGAIN THE LS50 SHOULD NOT BE USED AS A
 CONNECTOR FOR THE BEAM TIE-DOWN.
  
 5) FBC TABLE 2304.9.1 THE NAIL SPACING
 OF THE WALL AND FLOOR SHEATING SHALL BE
 6" O.C. EDGES AND INTERMEDIATE. 4" O.C.
 AT COMPONENT AND CLADDING EDGE STRIP #3.{FIG.1609.C}.
  
 6) R319.1 LOCATION REQUIRED.
 IN AREAS SUBJECT TO DECAY DAMAGE AS
 ESTABLISHED BY TABLE R301.2(1) , THE
 FOLLOWING LOCATIONS SHALL REQUIRE THE
 USE OF AN APPROVED SPECIES AND GRADE OF
 LUMBER, PRESSURE TREATED IN ACCORDANCE
 WITH AWPA C1, C2, C3, C4, C9, C15, C18,
 C22, C23, C24, C28, C31, C33, P1, P2 AND
 P3, OR DECAY -RESISTANT HEARTWOOD OF
 REDWOOD, BLACK LOCUST, OR CEDARS.
  
 7) R319.1.1 GROUND CONTACT.
 ALL WOOD IN CONTACT WITH THE GROUND AND
 THAT SUPPORTS PERMANENT STRUCTURES
 INTENDED FOR HUMAN OCCUPANCY SHALL BE
 APPROVED PRESSURE PRESERVATIVE TREATED
 WOOD SUITABLE FOR GROUND CONTACT USE,
 EXCEPT UNTREATED WOOD MAY BE USED WHERE
 ENTIRELY BELOW GROUNDWATER LEVEL OR
 CONTINUOUSLY SUBMERGED IN FRESH WATER.
  
 8) INDICATE THE CONNECTION OF THE FLOOR
 JOISTS TO THE SLEEPERS. WILL THE 30LB
 FELT BE INSTALLED AT THE TOP OR BOTTON
 OF THE SLEEPERS.
