 2. REVISION 6 IS THE LAST REVISION THAT WAS STAMPED AND
 FILED AT THIS OFFICE, BUT THE SUBMITTED PLANS HAVE
 DELTAS FOR LATER REVISIONS WHICH ARE NOT CLEARLY MARKED
 (NO CLOUDS). PLEASE CLEARLY INDICATE ON PLANS EVERY
 CHANGE WHICH HAS TAKEN PLACE AFTER REVISION 6
 (11-10-06). ALSO, SF-2 ON FAN SCHEDULE INDICATES REMARK
 #1 APPLIES. HOWEVER, SF-2 DOES NOT OCCUR ON FLOORS 2,
 3, 4 AND 5 AS REMARK #1 STATES. IT IS ONLY ON THE 5TH
 FLOOR. SEF-1A AND SEF-1B DO NOT APPEAR ON FLOOR PLANS
 OR RISER DIAGRAM (H1.17 AND H2.04), RATHER, THERE IS
 ONLY ONE SEF 1 SHOWN. PLEASE CLARIFY AND COORDINATE
 FLOOR PLANS WITH SCHEDULES.
  
 3. PLEASE REMOVE THE ?18? MIN.? NOTATION FROM DETAIL
 25. IT MAY OR MAY NOT BE CODE COMPLIANT DEPENDING ON
 THE WIDTH OF THE EQUIPMENT. PERHAPS A NOTE REFERENCING
 DETAIL 50 ON H0.04 FOR REQUIRED EQUIPMENT HEIGHTS WOULD
 BE MORE APPROPRIATE. ALSO, NO INFORMATION OR DETAIL
 COULD BE FOUND IN REVISION 15 STRUCTURAL PLANS
 REGARDING WIND LOADS AS WAS INDICATED IN THE COMMENT
 RESPONSE LETTER.

 MISSING A FIRE DAMPER IN THE DUCT RUNNING FROM

 OPENING PROTECTIVE AS REQUIRED BY FBC,M 607.5.
  
 10. H1.06 THROUGH H1.16 STILL SHOW A NOTE STATING THAT
 A 2? CONDENSATE DRAIN IS TO BE ROUTED TO AND DISCHARGE
 INTO A FLOOR DRAIN. PLEASE CLARIFY AND COORDINATE WITH
 PLUMBING PLANS.

 TRAVELS FROM THE 5TH FLOOR DOWN TO THE 2ND FLOOR. AS
 SUCH, A SHAFT ENCLOSURE IS REQUIRED PER FBC 707.2. ALL
 SHAFT PENETRATIONS SHALL BE PROTECTED PER FBC,M
 607.5.5.1. THE INTAKE LOCATION FOR SF-2 SHALL BE
 LOCATED A MINIMUM OF 10 FEET FROM ANY HAZARDOUS OR
 NOXIOUS CONTAMINANT, SUCH AS VENTS, CHIMNEYS, PLUMBING
 VENTS, STREETS, ALLEYS, PARKING LOTS AND LOADING DOCKS?

 33. SMOKE CONTROL SYSTEM:
 NOTE: THE ADDITION OF THE SMOKE CONTROL SYSTEM DOES NOT
 ONLY PROVIDE COMPLIANCE WITH FBC 909, IT ALSO PROVIDES
 COORDINATION WITH THE PERMIT SET OF FIRE ALARM PLANS
 WHICH HAVE CALLED FOR A SMOKE CONTROL PANEL WITH HOA IN
 THE FIRE COMMAND ROOM (SEE FA1.01) SINCE AT LEAST
 REVISION #6 (DATED 11-10-06). THE FOLLOWING ARE
 COMMENTS RELATED TO THE SMOKE CONTROL SYSTEM AS
 SUBMITTED:
  
 1) THE 3 COPIES OF THE SMOKE CONTROL SYSTEM NARRATIVE
 REPORT SHALL BE SIGNED AND SEALED BY THE DESIGNER(S) OF
 RECORD.
 2) SUBMITTAL OF THE SMOKE CONTROL NARRATIVE IS NOTED.
 HOWEVER, PLEASE INCLUDE SEQUENCE OF OPERATIONS AND
 CONTROL DETAILS ON HVAC AND FIRE ALARM PLANS AS NEEDED
 TO CLEARLY DEMONSTRATE THE SCOPE OF WORK REQUIRED FOR A
 FULLY FUNCTIONAL AND CODE COMPLIANT SMOKE CONTROL
 SYSTEM. FBC 106.1.1 AND 106.3.5.1.1

 (B) STAIR PRESSURIZATION SHALL BE MINIMUM 0.15? WC AND
 A MAXIMUM OF 0.35? WC IN THE SHAFT RELATIVE TO THE
 BUILDING MEASURED WITH ALL STAIRWAY DOORS CLOSED UNDER
 MAXIMUM ANTICIPATED STACK PRESSURES. THE NOTE ON STAIR
 1 RELIEF DAMPER (H1.18) WILL ALSO NEED TO BE CORRECTED.
 STAIR 2 RELIEF DAMPER COULD NOT BE LOCATED ON PLANS. BY
 WHAT MEANS IS THE PRESSURE TO BE BALANCED IN THIS
 SHAFT?
 (D) PLEASE INDICATE IN SEQUENCE SPECIFICALLY WHICH FSD
 WILL OPEN WHEN ALL OTHER FSD?S WILL CLOSE.
 (F) PLEASE SEE COMMENT #2 REGARDING SEF-1 DESIGNATION
 ON EQUIPMENT SCHEDULE (H0.02).
  
 B: FIRST FLOOR MAIN LOBBY
  
 (B) PLEASE INDICATE IN SEQUENCE SPECIFICALLY WHICH FSD
 WILL OPEN WHEN ALL OTHER FSD?S WILL CLOSE. THERE IS NO
 FSD SHOWN ON SEF-2 DUCT WHERE IT EXITS THE SHAFT ON
 FLOOR PLAN (H1.01) OR RISER 9 DIAGRAM (H2.04). WHAT IS
 THE PURPOSE OF OPENING THE MOTORIZED DAMPER FOR SEF-1
 IN THIS PART OF THE SEQUENCE? IT ONLY SERVES THE UPPER
 FLOORS.
 (C) NO ASSOCIATED FSD IS SHOWN ON PLANS. SEF-2 ACCESS
 DOOR (H1.05), IS THERE A STEEL GIRDER OR BEAM WHICH
 WILL INTERFERE WITH ACCESS? SEF-2 DISCHARGES ADJACENT
 TO THE SIDE OF THE PARKING GARAGE WHICH IS OPEN TO THE
 OUTDOORS. WHAT WILL THE STATUS OF GARAGE EXHAUST FANS
 (PF-1 THROUGH PF-12 AND SF-1) BE WHEN SEF-2 IS ACTIVE
 (SINCE THAT LOCATION IS THE SOURCE OF MAKE-UP AIR FOR
 THESE FANS)? ARE THERE PROVISIONS TO ENSURE PF?S AND
 SF-1 WILL NOT DRAW SMOKE INTO PARKING GARAGE? SEF-2
 INTAKE ON H2.04 RISER DIAGRAM IS SHOWN ABOVE THE
 CEILING IN RETAIL 1 AREA. THIS DOES NOT CORRELATE WITH
 FLOOR PLAN AND IS NOT FUNCTIONAL FOR PROVIDING SMOKE
 CONTROL TO THE MAIN LOBBY AREA.
 (D) SEQUENCE INDICATES DOORS WILL OPEN FOR SMOKE
 EXHAUST MAKE-UP AIR, BUT PLAN SHOWS LOUVERS WITH
 MOTORIZED DAMPERS ABOVE THE DOORS ADDED IN THIS
 REVISION. IS THIS IN ADDITION TO THE LOBBY DOORS OR
 INSTEAD OF THEM? PLEASE CLARIFY. IF THE LOUVERS AND
 MOTORIZED DAMPER ARE TO BE USED, PLEASE ADJUST SEQUENCE
 ACCORDINGLY.
