 FOR CONSISTENCY, THE FOLLOWING COMMENT
 NUMBERING FOLLOWS ON FROM THE BUILDING
 PLAN REVIEW OF 5/19/03:
  
 15) FBC 3401.7.1.2AREA OF ADDITION V'S
 AREA OF EXISTING BUILDING (NOTE: SEE
 COMMENT #19 BELOW FOR AN EXPLANATION OF
 THE EFFECTS OF THE CODE REVISIONS COMING
 INTO EFFECT JULY 1, 2003).IT IS NOTED
 THAT ON SHEETS ASP-1 AND A-203 THE AREA
 OF THE EXISTING BUILDING HAS NOW BEEN
 DECLARED AS 2680 S.F. (WAS 3872 S.F ON
 THE PREVIOUS REVISION OF THE PLANS). THE
 AREA OF THE ADDITION, AT 967 S.F., NOW
 EXCEEDS 25% OF THE EXISTING BUILDING
 AREA.BOTH THE EXISTING BUILDING AND
 THE ADDITION SHALL BE MADE TO COMPLY
 WITH ALL REQUIREMENTS OF FBC FOR A
 BUILDING OF A SIZE EQUAL TO THE COMBINED
 AREA AS FOLLOWS:
  
 16) FBC 1005.4 EMERGENCY EGRESS WINDOWS.
 AMEND OR ANNOTATE THE PLANS TO SHOW THAT
 THE WINDOWS TO THE EXISTING BEDROOMS #2
 AND #3 PROVIDE MINIMUM CLEAR OPENINGS OF
 24" HIGH X 20" WIDE FOR SECONDARY EGRESS
 ALSO THE MINIMUM NET CLEAR OPENING SHALL
 BE 5.7 SQ FT.
  
 17) FBC 13-103.0ENERGY CODE COMPLIANCE
 THE SUBMITTED FORMS ARE FOR THE ADDITION
 ONLY.AS PER COMMENT #15 (ABOVE) THE
 WHOLE HOUSE SHALL BE SHOWN TO COMPLY BY
 SUBMITTAL OF CODE COMPLIANCE FORMS FOR
 THE WHOLE HOUSE.
  
 18) FBC 1015.3STAIR GUARDRAIL.AMEND/
 ANNOTATE THE PLANS TO SHOW THAT THE
 STAIR GUARDRAIL ON THE EXISTING STAIR IS
 AT LEAST 36" HIGH AND THE RAILS ARE
 SPACED SO THAT A 4" SPHERE CANNOT PASS
 THROUGH ANY OPENING UPTO A HEIGHT OF 34"
  
 19) WITH REFERENCE TO COMMENT #15 ABOVE,
 NOTE THAT, AFTER THE JULY 1, 2003
 REVISIONS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE
 COME INTO EFFECT, FBC 3701.7.1.2 WILL NO
 LONGER BE APPLICABLE TO R3 OCCUPANCIES
 (WHICH INCLUDES ONE AND TWO FAMILY
 DWELLINGS).FOR GROUP R3 OCCUPANCY THAT
 SECTION WILL BE REPLACED BY NEW SECTION
 FBC 3401.7.1.2, WHICH STATES THAT WHEN
 THE ADDITION CONSTITUTES 25% OR MORE OF
 THE AREA OF THE EXISTING BUILDING, THE
 ADDITION SHALL BE MADE TO COMPLY WITH
 THE CODE, AND THE EXISTING BUILDING
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING:
 A) G.F.C.I. OUTLETS SHALL BE INSTALLED
 WHERE REQUIRED BY THE CODE.
 B) SMOKE DETECTORS SHALL BE INSTALLED
 WHERE REQUIRED BY THE CODE.
 C) IN NO CASE SHALL THE EXISTING
 BUILDING AND THE ADDITION EXCEED
 THE SIZE/TYPE LIMITS OF TABLE 500.
 THESE, LESS RESTRICTIVE REQUIREMENTS ARE
 APPLICABLE TO ANY BUILDING PERMIT
 APPLICATION RECEIVED ON/AFTER
 JULY 1, 2003.
