 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING. ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS,
 COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE.
  
 1- DESIGN CRITERIA:
 A) ENGINEER TO UPDATE CODE REFERENCE. CODE IN EFFECT IS
 THE 2020 FBC 7TH EDITION NOT 2017 FBC 6TH EDITION.
 REVISE AS REQUIRED. SEC. 553 F.S.
  
 B) ENGINEER TO SPECIFY ALL THE WIND DESIGN CRITERIA AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. R301.2.1 FBC-RESIDENTIAL. SPECIFY THE
 ULTIMATE AND NOMINAL WIND LOAD, BUILDING EXPOSURE,
 BUILDING MEAN ROOF HEIGHT, ETC. ALSO, SPECIFY THE ROOF
 COMPONENTS AND CLADDING DESIGN PRESSURES.
  
 2- ENGINEER TO REVISE ROOF SHEATHING NAILING TYPE AND
 SPACING. ROOF SHEATHING NEEDS TO BE NAILED WITH RING
 SHANK NAILS AT 4 INCHES O.C. IN THE FIELD AND EDGES AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. R803.2.3.1 AND TABLE R803.2.3.1
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 3- SECTION DETAIL ON SHEET 1 OF 1:
 A)UPLIFT OF 14300# SPECIFIED FOR THE SIMPSON "ACA" POST
 CAP IS INCORRECT. SEE SIMPSON CATALOG AND REVISE AS
 REQUIRED. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS. SEC. R301.1
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 B) ENGINEER TO CLARIFY WHY SPECIFYING SIMPSON "H10-2"
 CONNECTORS FOR THE ROOF JOISTS IF THERE ARE NOT DOUBLE
 ROOF JOISTS. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 4- 7- PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL AS REQUIRED BY FAC
 61G20-3.001 FOR FLAT ROOF.
 NOTE: CLEARLY MARK WHICH APPROVED ASSEMBLY IS GOING TO
 BE INSTALLED TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH THE DESIGN
 PRESSURES OF SEC. R301.1 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
 NOTE: IF THE SELECTED ASSEMBLY DOESN'T MEET THE DESIGN
 PRESSURES FOR ALL ROOF ZONES, THEN SIGNED AND SEALED
 RAS 117 CALCULATIONS ARE REQUIRED.
  
 5- ENGINEER OF RECORD TO REVIEW AND APPROVE IN WRITING
 (NOT SIGNING AND SEALING) ALL PRODUCT APPROVALS AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 107.3.4.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 6- ENGINEER OF RECORD NEEDS TO UPDATE THE STATUS OF HIS
 LICENSE. ENGINEER TO CONTACT DBPR (DEPARTMENT OF
 BUSINESS & PROFESSIONAL REGULATION). CHAPTER
 61G15-22.0001 LICENSE RENEWAL.
  
 7- VALUATION DECLARED IN THE PERMIT APPLICATION IS LOW.
 VALUATION TO INCLUDE ALL LABOR, MATERIALS, CONTRACTOR'S
 OVERHEAD AND PROFIT AND DESIGN PROFESSIONAL FEES AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 109.3 CITY AMENDMENTS.
 VALUATION WAS UPDATED TO $10,000. THE PERMIT FEE
 BALANCE IS $154.62
