 PARTITIONS SHALL HAVE A FIRE RESISTANCE RATING OF NOT

 2C) THE FLOOR PLAN ALSO MISSING HOW HIGH THE NEW TILE
 WALL WILL EXTEND IN THE NEW SHOWER. 2017 FBC-B SHOWERS
 & TUBS 1210.3. SHOWER COMPARTMENTS AND BATHTUBS WITH
 INSTALLED SHOWER HEADS SHALL BE FINISHED WITH A
 NONABSORBENT SURFACE TO A HEIGHT NOT LESS THAN 72
 INCHES ABOVE THE DRAIN INLET (THIS IS A MINIMUM).
  
 3) THE SUBMITTED FLOOR PLAN ALSO STATES THE REMOVAL OF
 FLOOR TILE AND NEW INSTALLED.

 1) THE PLANS SHOW A BATHTUB TO SHOWER CONVERSION IN THE
 MASTER BATHROOM- COMPLIANCE WITH THE FAIR HOUSING
 ACCESSIBILITY GUIDELINES IS REQUIRED. BECAUSE THE
 BUILDING WAS CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
 ACCESSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS OF THE FAIR HOUSING ACT AND
 THE DESIGN GUIDELINES FOR USABLE BATHROOMS IN DWELLING
 UNITS, THE ALTERATIONS THAT ARE PROPOSED IN THE
 BATHROOMS SHALL ALSO BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE FAIR
 HOUSING ACT. THE FAIR HOUSING ACCESSIBILITY GUIDELINES
 ARE INCLUDED IN THE FLORIDA ACCESSIBILITY CODE- 2017
 SIXTH EDITION. COMPLIANCE WITH THE GUIDELINES REQUIRES
 THAT CLEAR FLOOR SPACES FOR WHEELCHAIR APPROACHES TO
 BATH FIXTURES SHALL EITHER BE MAINTAINED AS ORIGINALLY
 DESIGNED OR PROVIDED WHERE NEW FIXTURES ARE BEING
 INSTALLED.
  
 BASED ON THE DRAWINGS IT APPEARS SPECIFICATION A WAS
 CHOSEN AS THE ORIGINAL DESIGN- REFER TO EXAMPLE A
 BATHROOM ON PAGE 7.36 OF THE MANUAL. THE EXAMPLE
 DRAWING SHOWS A 30X48 INCH CLEAR FLOOR SPACE FORWARD
 APPROACH TO THE BATHTUB, HOWEVER THE NEW SHOWER IS
 REQUIRED TO HAVE A 30X48 INCH PARALLEL APPROACH
 POSITIONED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FIGURES SHOWN ON
 PAGES 7.56- 7.59. THE DESIGNER OF RECORD SHALL PROVIDE
 ENLARGED DIMENSIONED DRAWINGS OF THE BATHROOM WITH
 CLEAR FLOOR SPACE DIAGRAMS CONFIGURED FOR THE NEW
 SHOWER AND THE REPLACED TOILET AND VANITY. PLEASE NOTE
 THAT WHEN THE SHOWER IS THE ONLY BATHING FIXTURE IN THE
 RESIDENCE IT SHALL BE AT LEAST 36X36 INCHES IN SIZE-
 PAGE 7.58. IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THE
 EXISTING TOILET MAY HAVE TO BE RELOCATED IF IT
 ENCROACHES ON THE REQUIRED 30X48 INCH CLEAR FLOOR SPACE
 FOR THE SHOWER. SHOWER GRAB BAR REINFORCEMENTS ARE ALSO
 REQUIRED. THE DESIGNER SHALL REFER TO REFER TO THE
 FIGURES IN CHAPTER 6 OF THE MANUAL AND PROVIDE GRAB BAR
 REINFORCEMENT DETAILS SHOWING THE LOCATIONS, HEIGHTS,
 LENGTHS ETC. THE REINFORCEMENT DETAILS ARE ALSO SHOWN
 IN THE FLORIDA ACCESSIBILITY CODE FAIR HOUSING
 GUIEDLINES. PLEASE SEE REQUIREMENT 7 AND FIGURE 5.
  
 1A) AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO MEETING THE GUIDELINES FOR THE
 BATH ALTERATIONS, THE OWNER AND DESIGNER OF RECORD FOR
 THE PROPOSED PROJECT MAY PROVIDE A SIGNED AND NOTARIZED
 AFFIDAVIT WHICH WOULD INDICATE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT THAT THE
 PROPOSED DESIGN DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FAIR HOUSING ACCESSIBILITY GUIDELINES, BUT WILL ALSO

 B) RELOCATING THE SHOWER DRAIN OUTLETS WILL REQUIRE THE
 FLOOR TO BE X-RAYED TO IN ORDER TO LOCATE REINFORCING
 STEEL OR POST STRESSED FLOOR TENDONS. PLEASE PLACE A
 NOTE ON THE PLANS TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE WILL BE MET-
 SECTION 1-07.2.1 WPB.
  
 C) NEW DRAIN PIPE PENETRATIONS OF THE EXISTING SLAB
 WILL REQUIRE FIRESTOPPING TO SEAL THE ANNULAR SPACE
