 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA

 ORIGINAL COMMENT:
 1- THE FRAMING OF THE PROPOSED DECK DOESN'T SEEM TO BE
 A CONVENTIONAL FLOOR FRAMING DESIGN. ENGINEER OF RECORD
 TO PROVIDE A COMPLETE ENGINEERING ANALYSIS SHOWING HOW
 THE PROPOSED FRAMING WILL MEET ALL DESIGN LOADS. LIVE
 LOADS, DEAD LOADS, WIND LOADS, ETC. ALSO, ENGINEER TO
 SPECIFY THE THICKNESS OF THE DECK BOARD AND PROVIDE
 COMPLETE SPECIFICATIONS FROM DECK MANUFACTURER SHOWING
 THAT THE DECK BOARD MEETS THE DESIGN SPAN SHOWN ON
 PLANS. SEC. 107.2.1.2 CITY AMENDMENTS AND SEC. R507
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 RESPONSE:
 CONVENTIONAL FLOOR FRAMING DETAIL FOR DECKS IS FOR
 EXAMPLE 1X6 DECKING SUPPORTED ON 2X8 JOISTS AT 16" O.C.
 AS SPECIFIED BY THE CONTRACTOR ON HIS PROPOSAL. THE
 ENGINEER OF RECORD IS PROPOSING 1X6 TREX DECK BOARDS
 SUPPORTED AT 4'-0" O.C. ENGINEER DIDN'T PROVIDE
 MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS SHOWING THAT THE 1X6 TREX
 BOARDS WILL MEET THE 4'-0" PROPOSED SPAN. ALSO, SEE
 TABLE R507.4 FBC-RESIDENTIAL FOR MAXIMUM JOIST SPACING.
 (NOTE: PLASTIC COMPOSITE BOARD NEEDS TO MEET THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF ASTM D7032. SEE SEC. R507.3
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL).
 ALSO, THE LIVE LOAD SPECIFIED BY THE ENGINEER IS
 INCORRECT. SEE TABLE R301.5 AND REVISE AS REQUIRED.
 SINCE THE PROPOSED FRAMING PLAN IS NOT A CONVENTIONAL
 FRAMING, THAT'S WHY A COMPLETE ENGINEERING ANALYSIS IS

 FOR THIS TYPE OF INSTALLATION. NOTE: COORDINATE WITH
