 1) WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE SIGN? IS IT FOR A GRAND
 OPENING BANNER? IF YES, PLEASE PROVIDE A DETAIL OF THE
 SIGN. THE FOLLOWING REGULATIONS WOULD APPLY: (6)
 TEMPORARY SIGNS AND DISPLAYS ANNOUNCING THE OPENING OF
 A NEW BUSINESS OR THE CHANGE IN OWNERSHIP OF AN
 ESTABLISHED BUSINESS. TEMPORARY SIGNS AND DISPLAYS
 ANNOUNCING THE OPENING OF A NEW BUSINESS OR THE CHANGE
 IN OWNERSHIP OF AN ESTABLISHED BUSINESS OR THE CHANGE
 IN OWNERSHIP OF AN ESTABLISHED BUSINESS SHALL BE
 PERMITTED IN ADDITION TO OTHER SIGNS WHICH MAY BE
 PERMITTED ON THE LOT WHERE LOCATED. SUCH SIGNS SHALL
 NOT REMAIN IN PLACE FOR MORE THAN 30 DAYS COMMENCING
 IMMEDIATELY UPON THE OPENING OF A NEW BUSINESS OR THE
 CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP OF AN ESTABLISHED BUSINESS. ON LOTS
 WITH MORE THAN ONE BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENT, NO SIGNS OR
 DISPLAYS SHALL BE PERMITTED UNDER THE PROVISION OF THIS
 SECTION. SIGNS ESTABLISHED PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION
 SHALL NOT BE SUBJECT TO THE PROHIBITION OF PORTABLE
 SIGNS SET FORTH IN SUBSECTION 94-402(B)(9).
 2) IF THE PURPOSE OF THE BANNER IS FOR ANY OTHER
 PURPOSE, THE CODE DOES NOT ALLOW BANNERS IN THE CITY
 PURSUANT TO SEC. 94-402(B.2)(2) - PROHIBITED SIGNS AND
 RELATED EQUIPMENT: BANNERS, PENNANTS, STREAMERS,
 SPINNERS, AND BALLOONS SHALL BE ANY SUCH OBJECT WITH OR
 WITHOUT LETTERING OR OTHER SPECIFIC IDENTIFICATION OR
 ADVERTISING INFORMATION OR GRAPHIC.
