 FOLLOWING SPECIFICATIONS FOR DUMPSTER/SANITATION
 ENCLOSURE DESIGN & LAYOUT PER CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH
 REQUIREMENTS:
  
 1. DUMPSTER ENCLOSURE MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 12 FT.6
 IN. OPENING BETWEEN THE GATE POSTS.
 2. INTERIOR DIMENSIONS OF THE ENCLOSURE MUST BE A
 MINIMUM OF 12 FT.6 IN WIDE AND 6 FEET DEEP. A CONCRETE
 PARKING STOP BAR 10 FT. LONG MUST BE CENTERED (FROM
 GATES) AND INSTALLED 18 IN. FROM THE BACK WALL. STEEL
 BARS WILL NEED TO BE DRILLED THRU THE STOP BAR AND INTO
 THE INTERIOR FLOOR OF THE ENCLOSURE TO STOP THE STOP
 BAR FROM MOVING WHEN THE DUMPSTER IS SET INSIDE.
 3. THE OPENING OF THE DUMPSTER ENCLOSURE MUST BE ANGLED
 SO THAT A 40 FT. LONG TRUCK WITH THE FORKS EXTENDED CAN
 APPROACH THE OPENING AND PICK UP THE DUMPSTER WITHOUT
 MAKING A SHARP TURN OR A 3 POINT TURN.
 4. THE TRUCK NEEDS TO HAVE NO LESS THAN 16 FT. HIGH
 VERTICAL CLEARANCE AREA FOR THE TRUCK TO PICK UP THE
 DUMPSTER. THIS IS THE CLEAR AREA OVER THE DUMPSTER AND
 WHERE THE TRUCK WILL BE STOPPED TO UNLOAD THE DUMPSTER.
 5. THE TRUCK NEEDS TO HAVE NO LESS THAN 14 FT. HIGH
 VERTICAL CLEARANCE AND 12 FT. HORIZONTAL CLEARANCES FOR
 THE TRUCKS TO DRIVE THROUGH.
 6. IT IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED THAT YOU ADD A RECYCLING
 CENTER TO YOUR DUMPSTER ENCLOSURE
 7. NO FLOOR DRAIN TO THE SANITARY SEWER CAN BE
 INSTALLED IN THE DUMPSTER ENCLOSURE, UNLESS IT IS
 ROOFED SO NO RAIN WATER WILL GET INTO THE DRAIN.
 8. THE DUMPSTER ENCLOSURE MUST BE LOCATED TO ALLOW THE
 DUMP TRUCK TO BACK UP NO MORE THAN 50 FT. STRAIGHT BACK
 AFTER THE RESETTING OF THE DUMPSTER IN THE ENCLOSURE.
 9. ENCLOSURE DETAIL NOT SUBMITTED, OR SUBMITTED WITH
 NON-STANDARD DETAIL OR WITHOUT ENGINEERING SERVICES
 DEPARTMENT APPROVED STAMP.
 10. OWNER MAY AGREE TO THE CONDITION OF PLACING THE
 DUMPSTER IN AN OPEN AREA FOR PICKUP; HOWEVER THIS
 CONDITION WILL BE PLACED VIA NOTE ON YOUR APPROVED SITE
 PLAN.
 11. DUMPSTER LOADING AREA SHALL HAVE 10' CONCRETE
 SURFACE FOR TRUCK TO APPROACH. TYPICALLY ASPHALT IS
 USED IN THE AREA APPROACHING THE DUMPSTER AND IT
 QUICKLY DETERIORATES DUE TO THE FRONT WHEELS OF THE
 SANITATION VEHICLE.
 12. DUMPSTER DOORS SHALL HAVE STEEL PIN TO LOCK DOORS
 IN POSITION. TYPICALLY IN AN OPEN POSITION AND A CLOSED
 POSITION. THIS WOULD ALLOW DOORS TO BE STATIC AND NOT
 FREELY SWINGING.
