 2) SHEET S-3 PROVIDES THE WIND DESIGN CRITERIA. UNDER
 THE HEADING FOR WIND EXPOSURE THE TERM N4 IS USED.
 PLEASE REFER TO THE 2014 FBC-B 1609.4.2 SURFACE
 ROUGHNESS CATEGORY C WOULD APPLY. THIS SURFACE
 ROUGHNESS SHALL ALSO APPLY TO ANY BUILDING LOCATED
 WITHIN SURFACE ROUGHNESS B TYPE TERRAIN WHERE THE
 BUILDING IS WITHIN 100 FEET (30 M) HORIZONTALLY IN ANY
 DIRECTION OF OPEN AREAS OF SURFACE ROUGHNESS C OR
 D-TYPE TERRAIN THAT EXTENDS MORE THAN 600 FEET IN THE
 UPWIND DIRECTION AND A WIDTH GREATER THAN 150 FEET.
 PLEASE UPDATE THE PLANS.
  
 3) SHEET S-3 PROVIDES THE WIND DESIGN CRITERIA. THE
 WIND DESIGN CRITERIA LIST A INTERNAL PRESSURES
 COEFFICIENT THAT IS FOR AN ENCLOSED BUILDING. IT WOULD
 APPEAR THAT THE DESIGNER OF RECORD WOULD NEED TO SUPPLY
 (2) DESIGN CRITERIA. THE FIRST FOR THE WORK TO BE
 COMPLETED FOR THE ENCLOSED BUILDING WHERE IS WORK BEING
 COMPLETED IN MODIFYING THE ROOF STRUCTURE AND THE
 ASSOCIATED PRESSURES 2014 FBC-B 1609.1.1. THE SECOND
 SET OF DESIGN CRITERIA FOR WHAT APPEARS TO BE AN OPEN
 CANOPY STRUCTURE. THESE DESIGN CRITERIA WOULD BE
 REQUIRED FOR THE DELEGATE ENGINEER WHO WILL ULTIMATELY
 PROVIDE DRAWINGS FOR THE LOUVERED ROOF CANOPY SYSTEM.
  
 4) THE DESIGNER OF RECORD HAS NOT PROVIDED ENOUGH
 INFORMATION ON THE ARCADIA LOUVERED ROOF SYSTEM BY
 ABSOLUTE ALUMINUM TO DO A CODE REVIEW .
 4A) DEFINITION OF ROOF. ROOF ASSEMBLY (FOR APPLICATION
 TO CHAPTER 15 ONLY). A SYSTEM DESIGNED TO PROVIDE
 WEATHER PROTECTION AND RESISTANCE TO DESIGN LOADS. THE
 SYSTEM CONSISTS OF A ROOF COVERING AND ROOF DECK OR A
 SINGLE COMPONENT SERVING AS BOTH THE ROOF COVERING AND
 THE ROOF DECK. A ROOF ASSEMBLY INCLUDES THE ROOF DECK,
 VAPOR RETARDER, SUBSTRATE OR THERMAL BARRIER,
 INSULATION, VAPOR RETARDER AND ROOF COVERING.
  
 4B) SINCE THE CANOPY ROOF SYSTEM IS A MECHANIZED LOUVER
 SYSTEM THAT ALSO HAS AN INTEGRAL GUTTER SYSTEM, AND A
 SINGLE COMPONENT SERVING AS DECK/ ROOF COVERING THIS
 SYSTEM WILL NEED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
 4B)(1) 2014 FBC-B 1506.3 MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS AND
 PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS. ROOF-COVERING MATERIALS SHALL
 CONFORM TO THE APPLICABLE STANDARDS LISTED IN THIS
 CHAPTER. IN THE ABSENCE OF APPLICABLE STANDARDS OR
 WHERE MATERIALS ARE OF QUESTIONABLE SUITABILITY,
 TESTING BY AN APPROVED AGENCY SHALL BE REQUIRED BY THE
 BUILDING CODE OFFICIAL TO DETERMINE THE CHARACTER,
 QUALITY AND LIMITATIONS OF APPLICATION OF THE
 MATERIALS.
  
 4B)(2) 2014 1506.4 PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION.
 ROOF-COVERING MATERIALS SHALL BE DELIVERED IN PACKAGES
 BEARING THE MANUFACTURER?S IDENTIFYING MARKS AND
 APPROVED TESTING AGENCY LABELS REQUIRED IN ACCORDANCE

 COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS IN TYPE II CONSTRUCTION 603.1.1
 FIRE-RETARDANT-TREATED WOOD SHALL BE PERMITTED IN:
 1.3. ROOF CONSTRUCTION, INCLUDING GIRDERS, TRUSSES,
 FRAMING AND DECKING.
  
 6) SHEET S2 DOES SHOW THE INSTALLATION OF NEW W10X20
 STEEL BEAMS. SHEET S-3SHOWS A TYPICAL BOX BEAM DETAIL,
 SHEET S-4 SHOWS AN SIMPSON H8 TIE DOWN. THE PLANS DO
 NOT PROVIDE WHAT MATERIAL IS ON THE EXTERIOR SIDE OF
 THE W10X20 STEEL BEAM, THICKNESS AND HOW IS THIS
 MATERIAL TO BE ATTACHED TO THE STEEL BEAM? SHEET S4
 SHOWS THE SIMPSON H8 TIE DOWN BUT DOES NOT PROVIDE THE
 LOADS TO BE RESISTED FOR UPLIFT NOR THE LATERAL LOADS.
 THE SIMPSON H8 IS DESIGNED TO FASTEN WITH (5) 1 ? INCH
 # 10D NAILS TO BOTH THE TRUSS AND TOP PLATE. HOW WILL
 THE 1 ? INCH NAILING BIT BE ACCOMPLISHED WHEN THE SIDE

 OF THE EXISTING BUILDING.
  
 2) THE PLANS MUST SHOW THE DIMENSION BETWEEN THE NEW
 CURBLINE AT THE PARKING LOT SIDE OF THE OUTDOOR SEATING
 AND THE EXISTING TERMINAL LANDSCAPE ISLANDS IN THE
