 THE GATE DETAIL GRAPHICALLY APPEARS TO DEPICT A SOLID
 GATE. A NOTE STATES THAT THE LOUVERS HAVE A .5"
 OVERLAP. IT IS NOT CLEAR HOW THE GATE MEETS THE
 CRITERIA OF 80% OPEN.
  
 REVISE PLAN TO CLARIFY GATE DESIGN (NEEDS TO BE 80%
 OPEN) OR GATE DESIGN CRITERIA (CURRENTLY APPEARS

 PROVIDE WRITTEN RESPONSES.
  
 1) THE PROPOSED SITE PLAN DOES NOT ACCURATELY DEPICT
 THE EXISTING SITE CONDITIONS. THE LIGHT POLE SHOWN ON
 THE GATE PLAN IS NOT SHOWN IN THE CORRECT LOCATION. THE
 LIGHT POLE, AS CONSTRUCTED, BLOCKS THE SWING OF THE
 PROPOSED GATE.
  
 2) THE SITE PLAN SHALL SHOW THE SETBACK DIMENSIONS FOR
 THE GATE SUPPORT POSTS AND THE MOTOR PADS FROM THE EDGE
 OF THE SIDEWALK PAVEMENT TO ENSURE THAT THE GATE IS
 INSTALLED IN THE CORRECT LOCATION SO IT DOES NOT
 ENCROACH INTO THE TRUCK TRAVEL PATH.
  
 3) THE AUTOTURN EXHIBIT CLEARLY SHOWS THAT THE SWING OF
 THE TRUCK TRAILER WOULD HIT THE OPEN GATE ARM.
  
 4) THE AUTOTURN EXHIBIT NEEDS TO BE REDONE TO SHOW A
 SMOOTH TRANSITION OF THE TURNS. THE AUTOTURN AS
 PRESENTED SHOWS UNNATURAL "JUMPS" IN THE TURNS. STAFF
 IS CONCERNED THAT THESE ARTIFICIAL TURNS HAVE BEEN USED
 TO ATTEMPT TO SHOW THE TRUCK AVOIDING THE GATE.
  
 5) AN AUTOTURN EXHIBIT SHALL ALSO BE SHOWN TO VERIFY
 THAT THE TRUCKS CAN LEAVE THE SITE WITHOUT HITTING THE
 GATES AFTER THE FINAL RECONFIGURATION OF THE FLORIDA
 AVENUE MEDIANS.
  
 6) PROVIDE THE DIMENSIONS OF THE MOTOR PADS ON THE SITE
 PLAN.
  
 7) THE MOTOR MUST BE SCREENED FROM VIEW OF THE FLORIDA
 AVENUE RIGHT-OF-WAY. PROVIDE DETAILS ON HOW THIS WILL
 OCCUR.
  
 8) PROVIDE THE DIMENSIONS OF THE GATE SWING ARMS ON THE
 SITE PLAN.
  
 9) THE DOUBLE LEAF GATE PLAN ON SHEET S-1 HAS A NOTE
 REFERENCING SECURITY LATCHES AND SHOWS WHAT APPEAR TO
 BE BOLLARDS. WHAT ARE THESE BOLLARDS AND WHERE ARE THEY
 ON THE SITE PLAN?

 ARMS NOT SWING GATES. THE USE OF SWING GATES MAKES THE
 EASTERNMOST LOADING SPACE NON-FUNCTIONING AS THE SWING
 ARM WILL BLOCK SPACE WHEN THE GATE OPENS. LARGE TRUCKS
 PARKED IN THE MIDDLE LOADING SPACE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO
 EXIT THE LOADING AREA WITH THE SWING GATES OPEN DUE TO
 THEIR LARGE TURNING RADII.
