 HAVE BEEN REVIEWED FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THE EDITION OF
 THE NEC, (NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE) AND THE FBC,
 (FLORIDA BUILDING CODE) AS WELL AS THE CITY OF WEST
 PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS IN EFFECT AT THE TIME OF
 SUBMITTAL. BELOW IS A LIST OF THE DEFICIENCIES NOTED.
 1. ADJUST PERMIT VALUATION TO MATCH ACCEPTED PROPOSAL
 VALUE OF $7,626.51.
 2. INDICATE ON FLOOR PLAN THE LOCATION OF THE MAIN
 CONTROLLER AND POWER SOURCE.
 3. PROVIDE DETAILS OF HOW WILL YOU ADDRESS ALL FIRE
 STOPPING REQUIREMENTS.
 ADDED A FIRE STOP
  
 WHEN RESUBMITTING, FOR A QUICKER RETURN ON YOUR
 RE-SUBMITTAL, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A RESPONSE
 LETTER (NARRATIVE) ADDRESSING EACH ITEM ALONG WITH THE
 STANDARD CITY RE-SUBMITTAL FORM. ADDITIONALLY, PLEASE
 INSERT CORRECTED PAGES INTO THE SUBMITTAL AND LEAVE THE
 PREVIOUSLY REVIEWED SHEETS FOR COMPARISON.

 REVIEW COMMENTS - FIRE DEPARTMENT
  
 PER SECTION 7.2.1.6.2, ACCESS-CONTROLLED EGRESS DOORS
 ARE PERMITTED PROVIDED THAT ALL SEVEN OF THE FOLLOWING
 CRITERIA ARE MET:
 1. A SENSOR SHALL BE PROVIDED ON THE EGRESS SIDE,
 ARRANGED TO DETECT AN OCCUPANT APPROACHING DOORS THAT
 ARE ARRANGED TO UNLOCK IN THE DIRECTION OF EGRESS UPON
 DETECTION OF AN APPROACHING OCCUPANT OR LOSS OF POWER
 TO THE SENSOR.
 2. LOSS OF POWER TO THE PART OF THE ACCESS CONTROL
 SYSTEM THAT LOCKS THE DOORS SHALL AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCK
 THE DOORS IN THE DIRECTION OF EGRESS.
 3. THE DOORS SHALL BE ARRANGED TO UNLOCK IN THE
 DIRECTION OF EGRESS FROM A MANUAL RELEASE DEVICE
 LOCATED VERTICALLY 40 TO 48 INCHES ABOVE THE FLOOR AND
 WITHIN 60 INCHES HORIZONTALLY OF THE SECURED DOORS.
 4. THE MANUAL RELEASE DEVICE SHALL BE READILY
 ACCESSIBLE AND CLEARLY IDENTIFIED BY A SIGN THAT READS
 PUSH TO EXIT.
 5. WHEN OPERATED, THE MANUAL RELEASE DEVICE SHALL
 RESULT IN DIRECT INTERRUPTION OF POWER TO THE LOCK,
 INDEPENDENT OF THE ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM ELECTRONICS,
 AND THE DOORS SHALL REMAIN UNLOCKED FOR NOT LESS THAN
 30 SECONDS.
 6. ACTIVATION OF THE BUILDING FIRE ALARM SYSTEM SHALL
 AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCK THE DOORS IN THE DIRECTION OF
 EGRESS, AND THE DOORS SHALL REMAIN UNLOCKED UNTIL THE
 FIRE ALARM SYSTEM HAS BEEN MANUALLY RESET.
 7. ACTIVATION OF THE BUILDING AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER
 SYSTEM OR AUTOMATIC DETECTION SYSTEM SHALL
 AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCK THE DOORS IN THE DIRECTION OF
 EGRESS, AND THE DOORS SHALL REMAIN UNLOCKED UNTIL THE
 FIRE ALARM SYSTEM HAS BEEN MANUALLY RESET.
