 I DISCUSSED THE APPLICATION WITH THE CONTACT PERSON AND
 CHANGED THE PERMIT DESCRIPTION TO CLARIFY THE SCOPE OF
 WORK AND CHANGED THE TYPE TO ROOFING AS THE SCOPE IS A
 ROOF REPAIR AROUND THE APPROXIMATE 270 LF PERIMETER OF
 THE STRUCTURE AND INCLUDES FASCIA AND 3X3 DRIP EDGE
 REPLACEMENT AND THE ADDITION OF 1X2 PT DRIP. THE
 SUBMITTAL DOES NOT SPECIFY THE ROOF COVERING REPAIR.
 ELI INDICATES THE WORK IS COMPLETE. A 3X FEE PENALTY
 HAS BEEN ADDED AS THE RECORD INDICATES INSPECTOR LANGE
 PREVIOUSLY ISSUED A RED TAG FOR THE WORK. THE CLAIMED
 VALUE OF $2,300.00 APPEARS LOW. THE APPLICATION'S
 ASSIGNED CONTRACTOR IS CGC1515166 VINAYAGAR M
 BALAKRISHNAN, BUT MUST BE CHANGED TO HIS ROOFING
 LICENSE CCC1328728 AS FS 489.105 DEFINITIONS - ROOFING
 CONTRACTOR - INCLUDES THE SCOPE OF WORK OF A ROOFING
 CONTRACTOR ALSO INCLUDES ANY REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF
 WOOD ROOF SHEATHING OR FASCIA AS NEEDED DURING ROOF
 REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.. PLEASE PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING
 UPON RESUBMITTAL:
  
 1-AMEND THE SCOPE OF WORK ON THE APPLICATION TO
 ACCURATELY REFLECT THE WORK COMPLETED AND PROVIDE A
 COPY OF A ROOFING LICENSE AND INSURANCE IF APPLICABLE
 AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.
 2- AMEND THE VALUE APPROPRIATELY AND PROVIDE A COPY OF
 THE CONTRACT SHOWING THE SCOPE AND VALUE.
 3- PROVIDE A PLAN, ENGINEERING CALCULATIONS IF
 APPLICABLE AND APPLICABLE PRODUCT APPROVAL TO DEPICT
 THE WORK COMPLETED, SPECIFY THE ROOFING WORK, THE
 LUMNER SPECIES AND GRADE, ALL ATTACHMENTS AND
 CONNECTIONS. PROVIDE A CERTIFICATION LETTER FOR
 COMPLETED WORK ALTERNATIVELY, PROVIDE A LETTER FROM A
 FLORIDA LICENSED PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER DESCRIBING THE
 WORK COMPLETED PER THE FORGOING , PROVIDING
 CALCULATIONS AS MAY BE NEEDED, AND CERTIFYING THE WORK
 AS CODE COMPLIANT.
  
 THE FOLLOWING FBC 2014 5TH ED CODE SECTIONS APPLY TO
 THE ABOVE COMMENTS:
  
 107.2.1 INFORMATION ON CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS.
 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE DIMENSIONED AND DRAWN
 UPON SUITABLE MATERIAL. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE
 OF SUFFICIENT CLARITY TO INDICATE THE LOCATION, NATURE
 AND EXTENT OF THE WORK PROPOSED AND SHOW IN DETAIL THAT
 IT WILL CONFORM TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE AND
 RELEVANT LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS, AS
 DETERMINED BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. SUCH DRAWINGS AND
 SPECIFICATIONS SHALL CONTAIN INFORMATION, IN THE FORM
 OF NOTES OR OTHERWISE, AS TO THE QUALITY OF MATERIALS,
 WHERE QUALITY IS ESSENTIAL TO CONFORMITY WITH THE
 TECHNICAL CODES. SUCH INFORMATION SHALL BE SPECIFIC,
 AND THE TECHNICAL CODES SHALL NOT BE CITED AS A WHOLE
 OR IN PART, NOR SHALL THE TERM "LEGAL" OR ITS
 EQUIVALENT BE USED AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR SPECIFIC
 INFORMATION. ALL INFORMATION, DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS
 AND ACCOMPANYING DATA SHALL BEAR THE NAME AND SIGNATURE
 OF THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DESIGN.
  
 FBC 107.3.4 - PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR ANY ROOFING
 PRODUCTS WHICH ARE REGULATED BY FAC RULE 9N-3 REVIEWED
 AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD.
  
 FBC 109.3 BUILDING PERMIT VALUATION. FOR PERMITTING
 PURPOSES, VALUATION OF BUILDINGS AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE
 TOTAL REPLACEMENT VALUE TO INCLUDE STRUCTURAL,
 ELECTRIC, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, INTERIOR FINISH,
 RELATIVE SITE WORK, ARCHITECTURAL AND DESIGN FEES,
 MARKETING COSTS, OVERHEAD AND PROFIT; EXCLUDING ONLY
 LAND VALUE. VALUATION REFERENCES MAY INCLUDE THE LATEST
 PUBLISHED DATA OF NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION COST ANALYSIS
 SERVICES (MARSHALL-SWIFT, MEANS, ETC.), AS PUBLISHED BY
 INTERNATIONAL CODE CONGRESS. FINAL BUILDING PERMIT
 VALUATION SHALL BE SET BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
  
 FBC 110.1 GENERAL. CONSTRUCTION OR WORK FOR WHICH A
 PERMIT IS REQUIRED SHALL BE SUBJECT TO INSPECTION BY
 THE BUILDING OFFICIAL AND SUCH CONSTRUCTION OR WORK
 SHALL REMAIN ACCESSIBLE AND EXPOSED FOR INSPECTION
 PURPOSES UNTIL APPROVED.
  
 FBC 117 - THE BUILDING OFFICIAL MAY REQUIRE TESTS OR
 TEST REPORTS AS PROOF OF COMPLIANCE. REQUIRED TESTS ARE
 TO BE MADE AT THE EXPENSE OF THE OWNER, OR AGENT, BY AN
 APPROVED TESTING LABORATORY OR OTHER APPROVED AGENCY.
