 SIGNATURES OF DESIGN PROFESSIONALS AS APPLICABLE; USE
 THE REQUIRED NAMING CONVENTION FOR EACH DOCUMENT
 2 INCLUDE ON A CD IF DESIGN PROFESSIONAL DIGITAL
 SIGNATURES ARE PROVIDED AS REQUIRED; USE THE REQUIRED
 NAMING CONVENTION FOR EACH DOCUMENT
 3 INCLUDE ON A CD WITH ONE SET OF TRADITIONAL PAPER
 DESIGN DOCUMENTS SIGNED AND SEALED AS REQUIRED; USE THE
 REQUIRED NAMING CONVENTION FOR EACH DOCUMENT
 4 ONE SET OF TRADITIONAL PAPER DESIGN DOCUMENTS SUBJECT

 1) THE PERMIT APPLICATION UNDER THE DESCRIPTION OF WORK
 READS, ROOF REPAIRS TO FLAT ROOF AND STANDING SEAM
 METAL ROOF. PLEASE REVIEW THE 2010 FBC-EXISTING
 BUILDING CODE SECTION 611.1.1 NOT MORE THAN 25 PERCENT
 OF THE TOTAL ROOF AREA OR ROOF SECTION OF ANY EXISTING
 BUILDING OR STRUCTURE SHALL BE REPAIRED, REPLACED OR
 RECOVERED IN ANY 12 MONTH PERIOD UNLESS THE ENTIRE
 ROOFING SYSTEM OR ROOF SECTION CONFORMS TO REQUIREMENTS
 OF THIS CODE.
  
 WHEN YOU READ ROOF REPAIRS NOT MORE THAN 25% THE
 ROOFING SYSTEM APPEARS TO BE ALMOST THE WHOLE ROOF WHEN
 YOU INCLUDE THE METAL ROOF AND THE AREA OF THE FLAT
 ROOFS ARE UNKNOWN. THERE IS GREY AREAS IN THE CODE
 BETWEEN WHAT IS CONSIDERED A REPAIR AND WHAT IS
 CONSIDERED MAITENANCE, IS THE WORK ON THE METAL ROOF
 AREAS TO BE CONSIDERED MAINTENANCE, PLEASE PROVIDE THE
 PERCENTAGE OF ROOFING THE METAL ROOF COVERS AND THE
 PERCENTAGE OF THE FLAT ROOF AND WHAT PERCENT OF THE
 FLAT ROOF IS BEING REPAIRED.
  
 2) WITH THE FLAT ROOF AREA, WE WILL NEED A PRODUCT
 APPROVAL AND KNOWN SUB-SYSTEM FOR OUR INSPECTORS TO
 INSPECT THE FLAT ROOF REPAIR. NOTE THEY MAY REQUIRE
 ENHANCED FASTENING IN ROOF ZONES 2 & 3, IT APPEARS THE
 PARAPET IS LESS THAN 3'-0" THE OTHER ISSUE IS THE
 HEIGHT OF THE BUILDING IS 16 FT. THIS IS A 2 STORY
 BUILDING THE CLEAR CEILING HEIGHT WITH NO FRAMING
 MEMBERS FOR THE 2 STORIES WOULD BE A MINIMUM OF 16
 FEET. C EXPOSURE W/ HEIGTH MULTIPLIER WILL BE REQUIRED.
 2010 FBC-B 1609.1.1 DETERMINATION OF WIND DESIGN-
 CHAPTER 6 OF ASCE 7-10.
 1609.3 BASIC WIND SPEED FIGURE 1609.A-C
 AN EXPOSURE CATEGORY SHALL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE
 WITH 1609.4 & ASCE 7-10
 A HEIGHT AND EXPOSURE ADJUSTMENT COEFFICIENT, * SHALL
 BE DETERMINED FROM TABLE 1609.7.2. ASCE 7-10.
  
 MEAN ROOF HEIGHT. THE AVERAGE OF THE ROOF EAVE HEIGHT
 AND THE HEIGHT TO THE HIGHEST POINT ON THE ROOF
 SURFACE, EXCEPT THAT EAVE HEIGHT SHALL BE USED FOR ROOF
 ANGLE OF LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO 10 DEGREES (0.18 RAD).
